I don't know why this place has such a low rating but I eat here once a week and I've never had a problem with this branch, the service isn't a problem. I usually get the chicken pilaf with brown rice, and the taco salad. I

I LOVE AND WILL FOREVER LOVE PANCAKE HOUSE!! It's simply the best! My top pick is the Pork Vienna. Boy are those delicious, perfect for sharing and worth every penny! Even though tho I'm such a Pancake House lover, I rated it 4.5 because before, Pork Vienna used to be overflowing in your plate, it used to be big and many. Now they are quite few so when you're really hungry, sharing is not an option. The Salmon is the best! it used to be like a square in size and now it's like a strip. I used to be addicted to this. The pesto is still the same, and the tapa. These are my personal picks. Even though it's quite pricey and have gotten less serving, I still choose to eat here simply because it's D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S you can really feel the taste melting in you mouth. It will always make you want to go back.

As a student former along Katipunan, eating at a place like Pancake House is an ultimate treat. It's definitely more upscale from the usual budget-friendly places (ergo fast food nation), but every visit is worth every cent.I only look at 2 menu items whenever I go to Pancake House - Classic Pan Chicken and Pork Vienna.I think what makes their Classic Pan Chicken so good is that the people in Pancake House keep their fried chicken simple. No gimmicks, fancy herbs or secret sauces. They don't cheat you by making the coating extra crunchy only to find out that the meat inside's near invisible. The chicken is absolutely crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. No trace of fry oil on these chicken legs! They serve it with a simple gravy which I think is heavily laden with butter (Not a bad thing, BTW; Just ask Julia Child.). To be honest, you can do without the grave. Yup, the chicken's that finger lickin'... Whoops, wrong tagline!Nothing can be more filling than their Pork Vienna. A massive pork cutlet breaded in Japanese panko breadcrumbs and deep fried to golden perfection. This thing's so crispy that you'll hear the crunching nous a in your head as you chew. Again, the people in Pancake House seem to know a whole lot about frying things 'cuz they manage to keep everything can crunchy and moist at the same time without the icky grease drippings. They serve the pork with a wedge of lemon (don't be afraid to squirt some of its juice over your pork; the tang helps cut through the porky taste) and a tomato, uhm, gravy (?) on the side which gives this dish a vibe far beyond that of a breaded pork chop.Ambiance? Well, since their renovation, they've made the place look more homey and inviting. The booths along the walls are spacious for 4 diners; the place is brightly lit so you can really see your food.Cleanliness? Or should I say spotless. Kudos to the Pancake House (Katipunan Branch) staff for keeping this place spick and span?Service? Great staff, all in all. They are all very attentive and courteous. They are generous with their table napkins so that's a plus in my book :)

Ordered their kids meal consisting of 3 pieces of spam, egg and rice, baby pancakes (3 average sIzes) , and hot belgian chocolate. The portion size of their spam meal is filling enough for a full breakfast meal. Am glad they are already open before 7am. Their pancakes as usual are so delish. And their hot chocolate has always been my favorite even if it costs 120+ for 1 small cup. I couldn't resist ordering this. Service was consistent since all servers were pleasant and ready to assist customers. I also appreciate their warm disposition, very nice way to start my day.

We visit this branch every time a co-parent of mine celebrate birthdays because of its proximity to our daughter's school. We ordered the Fiesta Taco Salad, Arroz ala Cubana, Cinnamon French Toast and the Clubhouse sandwich.
