This was the first time we tried this resto even if we always see it along Morato. I had mixed reviews so, I just had to try it for Chinese New year. The plaxe was packed. When i called to reserve, I was not asked if I wanted a round table . On my end, I assumed all were round table. We were 12 but they reserved for 8 only in the couched table. I had.informed them to make it 12. The place was jampacked. I am.not sure if service was always tgis slow or because it was CNY. They should have been prepared. We only had 6 dishes but the food arrived within 3 full hours! Food was good. The crab was meaty and fat. If not for the slow service, i would have given it a 5. We wanted to get some dessert but they would no longer accept, saying the kitchen could no longer accommodate.

Nice place to catch up with friends and family, great service and really friendly owner . Love their duck, fresh seafood and dimsum! Reasonably priced which is really a plus for me ❤❤❤

I just had dinner here and I was expecting slow service given that the place was jam packed. Full tables, lines, and a function in their bigger area. Surprisingly enough, all of our food came on time except for the duck which in my opinion was okay because it was absolutely divine and it didn't take too long really. Everything from our soup to our mains were "very" good, well seasoned and sublime.

We ordered the set menu D for lunch. Dish 1 assorted meat combination: jelly fish was too spicy and too big slices, honey work was not tender and too big slices, century egg was too dryDish 2 (arrive after 20 minutes wait) steamed suahe: no complain here except that the portion was quite small for 12 paxDish 3 Fish lip soup: not too tasty and not much fish lipDish 4 Braised sea cucumber and black mushroom: only few cucumbers, few black mushroom mostly flat and not plump, plenty of pig tendons which was not supposed to be part of the dish (1st time I’ve encountered this), the dish looked a little orange when it is actually supposed to look brownish as it is supposed to be sauteed in oyster sauce. Took this up with the manager and he pointed at the cooks for this and said he’d talk to themDish 5 Stuffed scallop lotus seed chicken: could not find nor taste the scallopDish 6 Steamed lapulapu: the meat was not as tender as it normally should beDish 7 Steamed crab garlic sauce: we complained that the crabs had a foul smell and complained to the waiter. The waiter came back and told us the manager said it was due to the garlic sauce. And I thought that garlic is used to remove any foul smell of foodDish 8 Birthday noodles: the only thing in this dish that gave a semblance of a birthday was the quail eggs. Other than this, there was hardly any other ingredient apart from the noodles. Any pancit canton from Little Quiapo or Amber would have tasted betterDish 9 Mango sago: too little mango and too much syrupDish 10 Buchi: this looked good outside but inside was hollowUpon billing, there was no adjustment for my complaintsfor dish 4 and 7. I was offered a waiver of 10% service charge if I paid in cash. I took the offer and vowed never to eat here ever again. BLACKLISTED.

it is a tradition for my family during new years day to eat out for either lunch or dinner in a restaurant. in most recent years, Oriental Palace has been the go to restaurant. delicious dishes and courteous service (well, it varies)what's unique from the get go is that it serves Japanese food while maintaining its Chinese cuisine in the following dishes.a highlight for me was the scallop in sweet and sour sauce, topped with a mango. that was a delicious bite!pancit was good and i ended up having 2 bowls, paired with XO sauce.definitely would come back here (as if i have a choice!).
