Can't remember the last time I ate here. The new place we were supposed to eat at was full and the kids wanted Jap so the closest was this place. Weren't too many people so decided to try it again. Ordered Gyudon (one of their specialties as per the menu) and it was gooood. Some part of the meat though was a bit tough and chewy. But flavor and taste wise, twas really good.Specially liked the Spicy Maguro Salad. Basically chopped tuna sashimi mixed with lettuce, tempura bits and comes with their soy sauce dressing.Other orders were Gyoza - large portion, not bad. Miso soup - quite yummy 👍🏼Food overall was great. Only downside was the service. Twas really slow. To think it wasn't even that busy.

SHAKE DON HERE IS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL SHAKE DON ON JAPANESE RESTAURANTS. // I love this japanese restaurant. They have a wide variety of japanese popular dishes and they are very delicious. I am only giving a 3 stars because what I ordered from our last visit was definitely different from what I used to. I ordered a "SHAKE DON" on my mind thinking it is SUPPOSED to be salmon sashimi over rice. To my surprise, the server gave me a GRILLED SALMON OVER RICE. I asked the server if their SHAKE DON is really like that and she politely said yes. I just ate it and it was good nonetheless. I am just CONFUSED and kind of DISAPPOINTED because I was craving for sashimi that day and why they named a TRADITIONAL dish as such if they will just serve a different one. I had my research if "SHAKE DON" should really be "GRILLED SALMON" and I was right, SHAKE DON should be SALMON SASHIMI OVER RICE.

It's my first time to dine here at Oki Oki in Trinoma since my mom was craving for some japanese food. So what mama wants, mama gets. Since she is paying for it! 😊Actually, I really don't know what to expect from this resto cause it's been here for as long as I can remember and we never even dared to try it, until today (for me).The place looks old but there was a lot of people dining on a Saturday lunch service. When I first entered the resto, it was bigger than what I thought although it has a certain smell that I don't like (maybe it's the towels they use to wipe the table or the soap that they used to mop the floor). The service was okay.. the food went out fast which was good.We had the Shake Boat (15 pcs Salmon Sashimi) cause we love salmon sashimi that much! It was finished after 5 mins? Haha! I liked the size of their sashimi big and thick compared to others, the fish had a vibrant pink flesh which is a good indicator that it wasn't frozen and it's still fresh. Taste, well I think it depends on the storage and the kind of Salmon they used but it wasn't as tasty and flavourful unlike other salmon sashimi on japanese sushi bars.Next we ordered 5 pcs Tempura, which was good. It wasn't oily and the prawns were big but I wish the sauce could have more flavor cause it doesn't taste like anything at all. I liked eating their tempura without the sauce. My mom and sister ordered the same thing which is their Oki Gyudon. Unlike normal japanese resto, their eggs can be served raw, scrambled or sunny side up egg for youtr gyudon which I think raw egg is still the best! Taste, it was okay..nothing special about it and I find a little bit salty.Since I am feeling a bit under the weather, I ordered their Manten Ramen. I was super disappointed with what I saw when my order came in. It doesn't look like a ramen at all! It looked like a Chinese noodle taste and looks like a Lomi! Super not what I had in mind. I have no problem with chinese style noodles, but I am in a Japanese Restaurant! It should look and taste like Ramen but it doesn't. The tiny seafood in the dish was over cooked. Super disappointed with this one. Should have ordered something different instead. One visit here is enough for me. And if ever I do come back I would never order any of their "Ramen"/ "Chinese Noodles" again.

Ugh. This branch of Oki Oki is way worse than the SM MOA branch!!! The food tastes bland and the service is not good. So the price of the food is not worth it. Also, serving size is not ooki. :/

For me, this is an oki-oki (okay-okay )japanese fastfood restaurant. Their gyudon is better than in Yoshinoya. Tastier and yes, you have a choice wether you like the egg raw, fried, or scrambled (go for the raw and mix it!) reasonably priced and nice service too. The only thing i didnt enjoy is their tempura.. there's something wrong with the batter. It wasnt that crispy but a little bit on the chewy side. The shrimp is huge! But i like this place.
