If you're craving for ramen/Japanese food, save yourself and don't even consider going to this place. Ramen costs 220 to 300 pesos and with that price, you could atleast expect a decent ramen. But no, ramen lacks flavour in all components - soup base, ramen texture and choice of pork cut. On the menu it says they have variety of broth but seems like it's just 1 broth for all. The gyoza is just ok, nothing extra ordinary. The staff are auto pilot friendly and bau so no complains on the service in general. All in all this place is not value for your money and not a go to place for Japanese food craving.

They have a lot of food items in their menu but the only available food that they offer at the moment is ramen. And their ramen is costly. Tried their Shoyu ramen and it costs php240!! And the noodles were not that good and the serving was so little. It is so overpriced for the quality. They have a service charge so your single ramen will costs php264. They have a wifi but when I asked for the password, they said it is for the office only. Try dining at Caution Hot instead if you wabt good quality ramen for affordable price.

First a little bit of background: I've been through plenty of Ramen Restaurants in the Philippines and especially the big ones (Ippudo, Mitsuyado... ) and I have to say the Service here is outstanding. I was served by this tall, young and pleasant lady who always had a smile on her face and paid the upmost attention to my grandmother. I could have sworn I was taken a back to my days where I was in Tokyo and Service was always a Priority.  I went here last Friday with my grandmother. I ordered the Ankake for myself and some Beef Gyudon for my grandmother The Food was the same story as everyone else: Portions are kind of small. Food is very underwhelming for what you are paying for. My grandmother spat a piece of Gyudon out that was too hard while it was supposed to be tender. Owners of Nihonjin, if you're listening please try to assess what your cook's doing as it is undervaluing the name of your establishment. Keep up the good work with the service and more power.

I've been here once. The ambience and the interior design is pleasant in the eyes. I was served by a young tall lady, she was friendly and accommodated me very well. I ordered the Beef Teriyaki and it was an okay dish. Prices are affordable. Service is a nice experience.

ShetSarap premieres its second season by trying out Malingap Street's Nihonjin. We tried out the three rice meals (Katsudon, Beef Curry, and Beef Gyudon), ramen, and gyoza. Find out our rating of Nihonjin at tinyurl.com/ShetSarapS02E01

A quiet place which tries its best to give an authentic Japanese experience. The Ramen and Gyoza are the best sellers but I decided to try only the gyoza along with the basic Katsudon and Gyudon. For the price it offers, the food is nothing more than satisfactory at best. The Katsudon and Gyudon were nothing special, but the Gyoza stood out. Ot didn't have the sour spring roll flavor most local gyozas have which is good, but it still isn't the best gyoza one can find. There are a lot of better places to find better gyoza, but for the price and location, this place offers a decent outlet. The service was excellent and there is wifi. All in all it is another Japanese restaurant that still fails to stand out. Maybe the ramens can contemplate but I will only recommend this place for those wish to satisfy their Japanese craving with a convenient and relatively cheap location.

Yung tonkatso malambot sya at masarap din pero not that super sarap talaga. Haha Same as with the yakisoba, nothing special. Haha. Tonkatso ramen daw best seller nila, di kami nag order kasi di namin trip mag sabaw. Babalik paba ako dito? Certainly babalik to try other foods. If planning to go to maginhawa street via malingap, huwag na tumuloy dahil may tyange sa gitna ng kalsada. Better daan kayo sa may philcoa o kaya v. Luna. and parking is very hard this Chriatmas season.

A 3-piece gyoza order costs P150. That's P50 each, so it has to be good. Okay, order arrives, hmm. Tastes good but too oily. Server claims that an order of ramen is good for 1-2 people. Yeah right 😣 I wanted to share my order but it only had one slice of chasu. Ramen priced from P220 to 300+. Is that why we even don't get a placemat or real utensils? Plastic ramen spoons? Really now!

Seen this food chain while strolling around QC. The place is very pleasing in the eyes. The truth is, we went inside because we want to see the interior. Hahahaha the place is very japanese with black dominating the room. It is quite small but there are a few people eating. Their menu is good. They have different meals. It's actually cheap compared to other japanese joints. Their ramen is delicious. Though the presentation is not what I expected. The ingredients are mixed while different ingredients usually are grouped and separated. Aside from ramen, their tea is very affordable. One to two paper bills for a pot of tea.

We were a first-time diner of Nihonjin when we chose this place over the other food joints at Maginhawa strip. From outside, the place says Japanese - and it was inviting! We were famished by the time we got there and were expecting really good, comforting food. I ordered my japanese dinner staple: Katsudon and my husband decided to try their Ramen. My katsudon dish was cooked well. The pork cutlet was thick but the dish was dry. The taste was also lacking. So I asked for a tempura sauce to remedy the dryness of my dinner. I thought I tasted Kikoman sauce when they served the tempura sauce- because it was very salty, dark in color and was not a tempura sauce to me. I had to ask their crew again for tempura sauce- and she said that was indeed their tempura sauce. My husband's ramen came in a good serving size - but we sensed a lot extenders from the dish. It was all noodles and vegetables. It also lacked the richness in its soup - that you typically look for when served with ramen. Our dining experience was disappointing. Although the service was okay, the food really was a let-down. I think, they have to improve and work on their recipes. Sorry but we will not go back here :(
