To celebrate the Chinese New Year of course we need to get some Chinese goodies. A go to chinese restaurant when you're in Quezon City along E. Rodriguez. I hoard on fortune cookies as I make these a giveaway in the office and got also some ube and hapon hopia and pork siomai. All good!

This is the nearest go-to-place for me when i crave for laksa! Dishes especially noodles are really tasty! But the place is too small, it easily gets crowded and noisy too. The service is just fine but not very accomodating.

Probably one of the best Chinese place in the Metro. Their stir fried noodles are all to die for! They're a bit pricey but it's totally worth it because it's big servings and absolutely packed with different meat and seafood. This place is relatively smaller than their Bindo branch which is understandable. They have limited seating, around 12 tables. Also don't sleep on their hopias, mooncakes, and other Chinese delicacies ! All of them are yummy! Seriously! I've never had anything bad from Eng Bee Tin!

It was quite interesting to discover that Mr. Ube serves not just savory dishes but a whole lot of variety of cuisines as well. This unusual encounter enabled my team to try a myriad of noodles and rice toppings they humbly offer. Hong Kong style Beef Wanton Noodle is the bowl I enjoyed most. Its soft meat and plump wantons on a light soup were the good culprit. Another one I liked was their two variations of Laksa, the original Singaporean and the Shabu. Both tasted authentic with the right amount coconut milk and spices. Chinese Beef Broccoli was a decent bite. It had well marinated meat and still crispy vegetable. Its sauce was on the sweet side and not that greasy. The Lechon Macao however, was not pleasant, it was dry and bland. We also got a heaping order of Miki Bihon which can serve around 10 based on its amount. We paid additional Php 100 to consume it inside. This Filipino merger of two noodles taste as expected with nice consistency. We also got Chinese Misua and Japanese Chasu Ramen. On top of these we got some dimsum like the store Pork Siomai and their delicious Pork Dumpling. For dessert, we shared best selling Ube and Mongo Hopia. These were both filling and sweet.

We frequent this place whenever we crave for hopia (ube, combi flavors, mochi, custard and their latest hopia filled with pork floss...yum-o!) or for our movie marathon chicha... shing-a-ling. We recently tried their congee and find it good and it served in a big bowl good for 2. The salted egg chicken meal is ok and I find it too oily. The lava buchi that comes with it is just a regular buchi.. or am I expecting too much after seeing in the menu the word "lava" which my excitedly translated into something "oozing"?

A chinese restaurant that lives up to the hype. I always enjoy my time when I am here because of the chinese feel, hopia choices and the wide variation of food at affordable prices. I am a sucker for cheap but good quality food and this is one of them. I ordered their lechon macao and my friends got the beef with rice and beef brocolli rice topping. we even included their comeback meal, chicken misua. All of this amounted to less than 500 pesos! Sweet deal for 3 people. Their lechon macau was generous enough. Crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I did not enjoy the sauce that much. Good thing the lechon can go on its own because of the flavor. Their beef rice is a little sweet but neverheless, very tasty. Their beef with brocolli is quite generous and tender. Sauce was tasty and did not play too much on salt. When you are there, they have all of these food on their shelf that makes you wanna go chinese shopping. From dried tapa to hopia to sticky desserts. A great take home togeter with a bottle of soy milk or naicha.

Whenever we crave for Chinese food, we don't have to go to binondo anymore because Mr. Ube is just around the corner. Their noodles tastes good. I normally order their kung pao chicken. They also have a bottled milk tea which is delicious. When it comes to delicacies, try their hopia. They have a wide variety to choose from.

Mr. Ube is equated with Eng Bee Tin, one of the very popular brands of good quality hopia in Manila. As a Chinese restaurant, this place offers mainly noodle soup varieties and dimsum such as siomai, xiao long bao and radish cake. Some soup dishes, although not Chinese, are oddly added in the menu, including Singaporean laksa, tom yum and Japanese shoyu. These dishes are delicious, though; and one gets surprised at the very reasonable (almost cheap) prices relative to the large serving (which can satisfy 2 persons). The dry noodles such as the bihon guisado is also a must-try as it is filled with flavor (and aroma) and has lots of large real kikiam slices.

Dining here always leaves me happy and contented! I love their lechon macau, laksa and wintermelon drink. Tried their fried dumplings, radish cake and siomai and they're all delicious too! After dining, I never leave the place empty-handed as I always bring home hopia, peanut rolls (ampao), mooncake and some other snacks I can find here. Did I already say I love this place? 👌 #yum

I had the Laksa and I was surprised that it was competitive! It was so good. The ambience wasn't particularly inviting. The ceiling was low. The ventilation could be improved. But the food was pretty alright. Relative to the price, it was a suprisingly good deal! Buy take out. But buy!
