To celebrate the Chinese New Year of course we need to get some Chinese goodies. A go to chinese restaurant when you're in Quezon City along E. Rodriguez. I hoard on fortune cookies as I make these a giveaway in the office and got also some ube and hapon hopia and pork siomai. All good!

This is the nearest go-to-place for me when i crave for laksa! Dishes especially noodles are really tasty! But the place is too small, it easily gets crowded and noisy too. The service is just fine but not very accomodating.

Probably one of the best Chinese place in the Metro. Their stir fried noodles are all to die for! They're a bit pricey but it's totally worth it because it's big servings and absolutely packed with different meat and seafood. This place is relatively smaller than their Bindo branch which is understandable. They have limited seating, around 12 tables. Also don't sleep on their hopias, mooncakes, and other Chinese delicacies ! All of them are yummy! Seriously! I've never had anything bad from Eng Bee Tin!

It was quite interesting to discover that Mr. Ube serves not just savory dishes but a whole lot of variety of cuisines as well. This unusual encounter enabled my team to try a myriad of noodles and rice toppings they humbly offer. Hong Kong style Beef Wanton Noodle is the bowl I enjoyed most. Its soft meat and plump wantons on a light soup were the good culprit. Another one I liked was their two variations of Laksa, the original Singaporean and the Shabu. Both tasted authentic with the right amount coconut milk and spices. Chinese Beef Broccoli was a decent bite. It had well marinated meat and still crispy vegetable. Its sauce was on the sweet side and not that greasy. The Lechon Macao however, was not pleasant, it was dry and bland. We also got a heaping order of Miki Bihon which can serve around 10 based on its amount. We paid additional Php 100 to consume it inside. This Filipino merger of two noodles taste as expected with nice consistency. We also got Chinese Misua and Japanese Chasu Ramen. On top of these we got some dimsum like the store Pork Siomai and their delicious Pork Dumpling. For dessert, we shared best selling Ube and Mongo Hopia. These were both filling and sweet.

We frequent this place whenever we crave for hopia (ube, combi flavors, mochi, custard and their latest hopia filled with pork floss...yum-o!) or for our movie marathon chicha... shing-a-ling. We recently tried their congee and find it good and it served in a big bowl good for 2. The salted egg chicken meal is ok and I find it too oily. The lava buchi that comes with it is just a regular buchi.. or am I expecting too much after seeing in the menu the word "lava" which my excitedly translated into something "oozing"?
