MORITA RESTAURANT SERVES SOME SOME OF THE FRESHEST SUSHI IN THE METROPOLIS; AND YOU CAN EVEN DANCE HERE TOO!. website and Cruising Magazine held an event at Morita Restaurant to mark the 14th installment of their year-long food tasting caravan, celebrating the 16th year of Cruising Magazine. The group had the opportunity to sample a sashimi sampler and teppenyaki beef.

My family and I tasted several dishes mainly on the selection of the maki-s and main courses. It was not as good as what I expected it to be. I'll start of by describing Unagi Bon Maki, it was worth more than 500 pesos for 5 pcs but the taste was ordinary I have tasted better ones and the mango was too ripe. The crazy maki was too plain and cold when it was served, the crunchiness of the maki was not felt because it was cold. Moving on to the main courses we got a bowl of Japanese rice with Tempura. The tempura was perfectly cooked but once you dip it in the sauce everything changes, it's too salty which didn't match the Japanese rice. Lastly, the Katsudon's meat was too hard. My teeth can't even slice a small piece. The food was not good but the live band was incredible!! I would go back for the live band only.

Decent Japanese food but not really impressed with it...I've heard a lot of good feedbacks from this resto that is why I really pushed to come here even if its already late. Food is so-so. I could get better Japanese food at a lesser price...

Pricey.... but authentic japanese. Its worth it. The salmon sashimi is awesome.. I will recommend this restaurant. The Bento box is very worth it. A full set meal. Will really leave you full.

We ate here for my mother's birthday last Thursday. And the place was packed; reservations is necessary. We ordered 3 set meals for 5 people mostly. We really liked the salmon compared to the tuna sashimi, makes it feel like it's just melting in our mouth. We also had normal california maki, crazy maki, and we ordered dragon roll which was a bit spicy. There were birthday noodles and yakiudon, as well as tempura, gyoza, chicken karaage, stir fried chicken, and my parents liked the salmon head. Generally, the food tasted delicious and authentic. It was a bit expensive when ordered ala carte. It was fun because there was a band playing 60s songs, so my parents were dancing... Actually my sister noted a lot of senior citizens when she entered haha

Their food is not really the main attraction. Come here if you want to spend the night dancing with other "moms". They have live band playing.

When it comes to Japanese food, there are two keywords that should never be compromised: simple and quality. When food is simple, all you need is high quality ingredients. With high quality ingredients, you only need to treat food simply, with no excess froufrou needed.Morita labels itself as an authentic Japanese restaurant, and so far I seem to agree. While there is no Little Tokyo-like joint up north, this is a fantastic option. Their sashimi Matsu platter was fresh and presented beautifully. Uni was abundant! Apparently they import majority of their seafood. I hope they can find a good supplier locally, as many others have done, to keep their food costs manageable - thus the prices too. Gyuniku Teppanyaki. Could do with some more flavor - but the beef was tender, not overly chewy at all. Gindara Teriyaki. My favorite, done well. I loved that the skin was crispy - a nice touch to the soft, succulent cod and the sweet tangy teriyaki glaze. Ebi tempura. A bit of a disappointment since the batter was just too thick. The inside was still goopy. However, it was a nice generous serving, plus I love when they throw in a tempura vegetable - eggplant in this case.

Freshest sashimi I ever had! We got the assorted sashimi which included salmon, tuna, uni, yellowfin and mackerel. They were all so good! The beef teppanyaki could have been better. It was a bit tough, but I was probably comparing it to wagyu. The ambience conforms to traditional Japanese customs with the interior design. There's a nice addition of the band that usually starts playing at 8 pm. The servers could have been a bit more attentive.

This is another restaurant if you want to eat authentic japanese cuisine. Really like the chashu ramen, shoyu ramen, tamago, ebi tempura and california roll. But a little bit pricey.

I've been very interested in eating Ramen lately and since my friend and I decided to meet for dinner, she suggested Morita which offersAuthentic Japanese food. Since it's my first time to try Morita too, I really wanted to try it. Located at the Ground Floor of Fisher Mall, the restaurant has 2 entrances - one outside the mall and one located at the parking area. The place was really big, it occupies 2 floors and there's a stage for the band. We settled near the stage and checked their menu which is full of variety of Ramen, Maki and other Japanese food and since I'm a first timer, I ordered my staple, Tantanmen and requested it to be Mild Spicy, the way I like my Ramen. The serving was big and not that spicy though I can see chopped chili but the dish was not that spicy, even when I requested it to be a bit spicy. There are bits of beef and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We also ordered Crazy Maki to go with our Ramen. I love the crunchy feeling in each bite and the chinese mayo is really tasty. I love how sticky the rice is as well because it keeps everything together. I love the dining experience at Morita, the place was very accommodating, staffs were very attentive to all customers, the price was too high for the variety of food they can offer, since I guess Morita is a bit high end restaurant. The food was great.
