Mongkok is your typical Chinese restaurant which serves the usual noodles, dimsum, and rice toppings. Like most Mongkok branches... the dinning area was a bit cramped up.  Servers were attentive and are able to suggest food items from the menu. Due to the rainy weather... we decided to order a noodle soup, a rice topping meal, and a dimsum.Since I wasn't feeling good, I ordered, as suggested by our server, the Brisket Wanton Noodle Soup. The broth was typical and ingredients in it weren't that outstanding. However, the portion was big and maybe shared by two. Overall it is still a good dish to eat with someone, especially on a cold rainy day.The Brisket Tendon rice was likewise typical. The asado sauce over the meat was flavorful and did not require adding other condiments like soy to taste better. The meat wasnt that chewy... but it wasnt that tender too. So be ready to exercise your muscles of mastication on this one!!!Lastly... I enjoyed the Stuffed Shrimp tofu!!! The texture of the tofu was just right... not too gummy and not too soft.   The shrimp stuffed in the tofu makes it a good and delicious dimsum. Dip it in Toyomansi with or without chili sauce and you are good to go.Thou shall not expect too much is the rule... but for me, Mongkok is still worth a try.

As I entered I felt like they didn't want to serve me. One staff was seated down with his phone while two others were behind the counter. So I asked, are you open? Anyway, the restaurant doesn't look that clean. So for a moment I was afraid. Well, my craving for Hong Kong dish kept me there. I had tough meat and bland white chicken rice topping paired with wonderful flavored ginger. Yeah, they had to be together. A nice addition though was their garlic Broccoli. Simple, well cooked vegetable. When here, don't forget to have dimsum. Especially their shrimp dumpling or Hakao.

We celebrated Father's Day here. My husband and I wasn't over our dimsum escapade yet so we went here and ordered some of their dimsum. Husband was in the mood for a Beef Wanton noodle so we ordered that. I ordered the staple pork siomai, kuchay dumpling, radish cake, and their xiao long pao. The orders came in really fast. Wait staff was efficient. The pork siomai was cooked well although I would have preferred if it were a bit more tender. Meat was chunky and the seasoning was right. The kuchay dumpling was not as tasty as I hoped it would. The radish cake was actually deep fried, I enjoyed the crispy edges and the soft center. This came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. The xiao long pao was tasty and the dough a bit chewy. Their beef wanton noodle was cooked and season well. Although the server said that the serving size was good for 1, I thought it can be shared by 2 people. This is no Michelin star dimsum restaurant but I believe the price range is on point with the quality and taste.

I just had lunch here and I can say that the food is pretty okay. They do serve house tea but it is only by request and they don't have any service charge. The place is pretty cramped and can get really noisy so this one is for quick lunch just to satisfy one's hunger. The food that we ordered were the following: 1) Mongkok Dimsum - It tasted pretty ordinary for me even though they used pork, shrimps and shiitake mushrooms. The shrimps they used were tiny so the taste of pork meat stood out more. 2) Salad Shrimp Puff - I failed to take a photo of this one. Each puff was filled with shrimp and it came with mayonnaise dip.  3) White Chicken - The chicken has soy flavor which my dad didn't like. He prefers the white chicken eaten at restaurants in Banawe. 4) Sweet & Sour Fish - Yes, they used cream dory for the fish, but the part that they used was the belly. It tasted fishy for me and the rice was soaked with the sweet & sour sauce so everything tasted off for me. I didn't really like this. Overall, there are much better Chinese restaurants out there that can offer the same price, but this is a good place for those who are looking for a quick bite.

Their noodles are just so good!Food: I just love noodles! So when I get the cravings, this is where I head (when I was till working in ortigas). Their Beef Brisket and Beef tendon is just so good. The meat is tender and the soup is flavorful. The seafood noodle soup is also good. For rice toppings, I go with spareribs ampalaya rice. Yum!Service: The staff could use a little smile on their faces, they aren't snob, just too serious I guess. Food usually takes 10-15 minutes to be served.Place: They have seats lots of seats available, not spacious enough though.
