A Place Among The Felines.I love cats.  I prefer kitties over dogs.  I am the kind you will see on Animal Hoarders (different version of the show,  not the depressing stuff they air on cable).  I'd be the cool cat lady with the cool cat shirt,  oozing with kittie swagger.  My cats would be limited to five breeds - Maine Coon,  British Shorthair,  Russian Blue,  Scottish Fold and Puspin (Pusang Pinoy)If I believed in pseudo science... reincarnation for example.  I'd like to believe I am a cat in my past life (No disrespect, Sam Harris.  I am merely conveying my profound affinity with the felines)This review is long overdue. Miao Cat Cafe, the first cat cafe in Manila.   Words cannot express how giddy i was when i heard the news.  Saying excited (and all other synonyms ) is not enough,  I was over the moon.  This is normal behavior for cat lovers.  (No need to call Dr. Phil)As soon as i got the reservations.  I got my kittie gear on and off we go to The Place Among The Felines. First,  website is the bomb,  we didn't have difficulty locating the place.  I am direction impaired and I dunno much about QC (born and bred in Makati).Miao is located on the 2nd floor of Cakes To Go.  Be mindful of the stairs,  a lil bit steep.  Before you get to mingle with the kitties,  you have to read the house rules,  disinfect your hands,  remove your shoes,  wear rubber slippers (c/o the cafe) and register. While i was reading the house rules,  a cute feline caught my attention.  A munchkin (cat breed with short limbs and moves like an insect - maliksi in the vernacular).  And then i saw the myriad of cat breeds they have.  I have this weird habit of thinking out loud.  This is the exact words i said. "I just died and went to cat heaven. "Entrance fee is php 300.00, good for two hours and with consumable food.   Do not expect much,  stuff they serve can found inside your fridge (except for Snapple Half n' Half).  We were greeted by an adorable gray kittie.   I think her name is Coco, she was lounging comfortably on our table.  (You can't carry the cats as the owners are avoiding any cat related injuries).  Petting 'em felines is okay.   Coco's hair is as soft as cotton (You can tell if the kitties are well-groomed by touching their fur).   Lounging around on the floor with pillows while petting a cat is the best stress-reliever.There's one feline I've been eyeing on.  Behold!  The amazing Scottish Fold!  My friend and I named him/her (not sure of the gender)  Jobert.  Do not ask why,  we find it amusing and cute.  He was sitting comfortably while looking at the window (I think he's male),  contemplating on the vastness of the universe. Another feline caught my attention,  Felix the British Shorthair.  He was doing recon work and wanted a sip of my milkshake.  Shorthairs doesn't have a prominent snout unlike the Puspins.  Fur is not as long as the other breeds but touchin 'em feels like touching an expensive stuffed animal (the kind that you buy at Rustan's or something) Miao's interiors are filled with cat furniture.  Little bridges on the walls,  scratching poles and the kind wherein kitties can hide (not well-versed with kittie furniture, my bad).   The cafe is strategically designed for cats (for recreation and relaxation).  As for the cleanliness,  i gotta say,  the place is squeaky clean. This is the perfect place for cat lovers.   You get to spend time with the pretty felines.Note: kittie with the coins pic is from Facebook page

A haven for cat lovers. You're paying more for the experience rather than the food. I've been here twice and I definitely enjoyed hanging out here. For 300peso entrance, you get to enjoy the place and it comes with 1 food and 1 drink. However, the food is so-so. And just a tip, for heated meals better eat it immediately because the food gets cold easily. On my second visit, we got the cheesy bacon and cheesy pesto pasta. I took a bite of both and the cheesy bacon tasted better. Very cute interior - I love places wherein I can just sit on the floor. The place is quite small but no complaints on that. I just hope they'll have more food options next time. Overall, I love the place and I'll visit again soon.

Definitely a must visit place for cat lovers! Miao Cat Cafe lets you mingle with pet cats for 2 hours while sipping your favorite drink. Entrance fee is P300 for adults, inclusive of complementary food & drink of your choice from their menu.Upon entering the cafe, the distinct smell of cats and an air freshener was evident, but we don't mind. There were rules you need to follow prior your entry to the place - change to their slippers, sign in the waiver, and read the house rules. Cleaning and disinfecting after your visit is one of their primary concern that's why alcohols and lint removers were available at the foyer. It was a very cozy cafe and cats can be found everywhere!! According to one of the staff, they've got around 60 cats in total, but only around 20 can be seen in the cafe. I liked how the cafe was built - it looked like an enormous playground for the pets with several hanging bridges were connected with each other. Very conducive place for cats to live.Cat-designed merchandise can also be bought inside the cafe. The Main EventRaisin cookieGreen tea with lemon (hot)Pesto PastaMocha frappeIced teaFoods are not their main attraction in the cafe, that I can say. I was eating a dry pesto pasta, but the cuteness of the cat and the coziness of the place compensated it. Okay, nuff said.Cat lovers, don't dare miss this!Time of visit: 13 June 2015 20:00

We were not expecting that much because of the previous reviews and ratings which were low. When we got there, the place is nice, the staff are organized and the cats are well and supeeeeeer cute! The food is okay--we ordered Pesto and Potato Salad.I liked the potato salad more although it's just potatoes and cheese. We also had our pictures taken using instax (50 pesos each) and we really enjoyed our time there :)

The cats are really cute and adorable plus the place is cozy. You can sit anywhere (there are different tables set up around the place) and the best part is that cats freely roam around the place.Spenta
