It's not everyday you crave for some Mexican. That's a good thing because there aren't many around to dine in when you do. This morning, I was feeling that and Mexicali was the answer. Their meals today were flat. They lacked an overwhelming taste. The cheese on both dishes I got seemingly was the only strong taste. On top of that, the Chicken Barbecue Burrito also had absolutely no barbecue resemblance to it and the Grilled Vegetable Taco Salad was a sad one. It was lame with only eggplant and lettuce as its only vegetable. On the upside, their hot sauce was really good. Just the right amount of heat. :)

As other reviews have said, it's okay. Would have been better if the quesadillas had more stuff in them though (the quesadillas in Army Navy are way better). Their burrito is okay. While it won't knock your socks off or anything, it does its job of being kinda filling.

Honestly this is my go to mexican place. The chicken burrito and cheese jalapeno quesadilla combo is bomb! Simple but really good dont forget to add sour cream to your burrito
