This Sloppy Joe of Mexicali was very close to how my mom used to make it. The chili was good but the snapdog they used lacked the snap. Mexicali is still a classic in my book. The chili and garlic sauce is very consistent. I ordered extra to take out.

Mexicali is a great place to satisfy your Mexican food craving. My go-to dish is the Grilled Vegetable Quesadilla which is already good if you just want a light lunch. You can add a cup of Chili if you want your meal a bit heartier.

Alright?Food - this is the place where I mostly get my burrito from since its very near, B&T is farther so there. Burrito has a balanced amount of ingredients, not just rice. We don't get "aburrito". They have combo meals which I think is reasonably priced. The sauce is de-li-cious. Service - they are okay. Haven't experienced anything awful Ambiance - I like it. The paints and theme is Mexican. you can really tell it is Mexican, got it Chilli's?Value for money - Reasonable. Its okay if I have to pay 300 because dude, you won't eat for the next 4-5 hours. Other items might be a lil pricey for what it is but I haven't seen the portions.Orale manito!!

Food - really tasteful. I love the grilled chicken, can stand on its own without sauce or anything. Also loved the salad on the side, lettuce and salsa - didn't know they fit that well. Burrito is well stuffed and tastes good, combined with garlic quesadilla - must try.Ambiance - Mexican feel, like your having a Mexican party on your backyard. It's ok, though it's a little crowded cause the space is really small. Anyways, adfitional design or music could add more to the Mexican vibe.Service - ok, just ok. The place is very homey so the staff should at least smile and make you feel warm as well.I'm definitely going back there. 👍👍👍👍

Been a while since we last ate here. Ordered my usual Beef Burrito while she had Beef Enchiladas. Mine tasted and looked the usual which made me happy. But hers looked alien to both us. Enchilada sides appeared a bit dry and toasted and looked relatively smaller than before, and not as cheesier. She was just glad that the taste remained the same. The lady server's and the manager's pleasant demeanor compensated for her dissatisfied food experiece.
