It's bad that I expected a lot from this restaurant. A lot of my friends are recommending this Filipino resto hence the big expectations. Food were okay, nothing grand and special. Just your typical filipino food. Customer service is satisfactory: service crews are not attentive and keep on chatting with their colleagues. Maybe it's just me expecting them to go an extra mile. Haha. Oh well.

Back at mesa. Citibank promo is value for money 30% off the family set menu. Good solid mesa filipino moderne food with more than 10 branches around the metro!

The food was okay. I think their seafoods were not fresh, especially the shrimp. But their kare kare was good also the chicken and pork barbecue.

Strikingly beautiful are the words that came to mind when I passed by Mesa Filipino Moderne at SM North EDSA. From where I stood, I can clearly see the orange cushions, pretty lights, rattan weave decorations and cage-designed seats. The sight was simply breathtaking. And because of that, I decided to take my family there one Sunday afternoon.

Disappointing both in services and food. Dined here for lunch (May 31, 2017) with my partner and it was our first try of Mesa. We ordered Inihaw Festival and Bagoong Rice, and since my friend who is a balikbayan and craving for Lechon we ordered 1/6 of their Lechon though it's too pricey (P1,100 per 1/6). Dissapointing because: 1. It took 45 minutes before we had the ordered food in our table (on our third follow-up, i told the female crew that we are cancelling our order since me and my partner are both starving already, it was only then that they served our order)2. Plain rice was served instead of Bagoong Rice so we had to wait for another 6-7 minutes for our Bagoong Rice.3. All the Inihaw were served cold4. Much to our disappointment, the Lechon does not worth the price. It's a day or days-old piglet (and unfortunately half of the head part pa ang sinerve sa amin, in short, halos walang laman) and much disappointing is that the picture of the Lechon in their menu is way different from the actual one. It is not prepared as Native Lechon as shown in their menu, it's totally different. Disgusting! Not worth for the P2,150 bill for the two of us.
