I chanced upon Mcdonald’s new offering Black Sesame Sundae cone from Facebook. A bit confused on what it would taste like, I went to the nearest Mcdonalds’ chain, the one nearest Eton Centris along EDSA. Despite the downpour, I guess I was driven by curiosity to try something new. However, it was not advertised in their menu boards as they typically do. It wouldn’t hurt so I asked and quicker than Open Sesame… they had it! Looks like even Mcdonalds’ has a secret menu now.It looks like their typical chocolate sundae cone but the coating was a much darker brown. Perplexed, I tasted it and tried to associate it with a flavor I’ve tried before and came up with nothing. After scarfing down the whole thing, I still felt confused how it should taste like. I was with 2 of my siblings and we took 15 minutes debating and we still cannot describe it. hahaha. To be succinct, it had a more delicate taste compared to the other usual flavors. Honestly, when I think of black sesame, I think of a type of seasoning or even the buns of Burger King when they had a special promo. I always associate the flavor with something savory as opposed to something sweet and light like a sundae cone. I guess just can’t wrap my mind around it and I can’t seem to associate it with a dessert. I guess this mystery is another reason for me to try it again on another rainy day.

easiest drive thru mcdo on my way to work. it is just along edsa and the drive through is very spacious. it is so difficult to stop along edsa or any road to get take out so drive thru counters are really a god send.  mcdo chicken is really good now! i think they have finally found a perfect formula to compete with their biggest bee competitor.

I was able to try the new Mcdo Chicken and Hotcakes served with McCafe’s Premium Roast Coffee for Php132.00. The fried chicken was served crispy and meaty and juicy inside. It really blends well with the 2 pcs. hotcakes with butter and maple syrup. And it complement with the brewed coffee on the side. *with hashbrown combo - Php162.00#ilovetoeatph 😃❤️
