Staff needs more training on alertness and customer service. The door host asked how many are we, and I said 3, and she repeated. Later on, she asked if we were 8.The server keeps on looking around while taking our orders. The comments are off and irrelevant when taking food orders. The server takes customer's name, instead of introducing their own, which I found unnecessary. When I asked why, they responded "para pa-sweet". It would have been cute and "value-adding" only if the service from the onset was great.

Max's is the go-to restaurant of most of my balikbayan relatives, which is kind of a wonder to me because a lot of other restaurants offer Filipino food at much cheaper prices and bigger servings. Then again, it's their money and choice hehe. Their food is delicious naman, but I wouldn't eat here often. Oh, they do have the best leche flan, though! :)

Typical Max's ambience and dishes. Chicken's still great. Can't say much about the rest in the menu, maybe just average compared to other known pinoy restos. But what really turned me off in this particular branch is the service. Order taking seems like just wanting to get through with it. In other words, it sucks. Just imagine all your friends almost done eating and finding out later that your order wasn't taken. Worst thing is instead of pacifying you, waiter guy slams you with a "ni-repeat ko nman po ang orders nyo e...". Yeah, in a large group that orders set meals each, you don't just repeat it to that 1 person that can hear you (set order each yan, meaning alam dapat ni waiter na kanya kanyang order yan). Get acknowledgement from each when you repeat. Anyway, there are better ways of handling that mishap. This one just didn't care.

My go to place for chicken. I love the chopsuey meal. Halo halo is such a treat. The brewed coffee is good. If only they would serve steamed milk. Best with biscotti.Mar 3 2016 - lumpia sariwa (sorry, ate ot all 😄😄😄😄😄). Coffee and chick2n sandwich for breakfast. Also had the mango cream afterbut forgot the pic 😊😊😊

I have fond memories of the Max's in my hometown, so I visit their Eastwood branch whenever I miss their food. The chicken is tasty, and their sinigang na hipon is one of my all-time faves. They also have this tofu steak dish that I like. This is a good place for dining with your family, but they also offer lunch sets and budget meals if you're eating solo.
