I wonder why I've never noticed Master Garden in my own hood until today. website says it'll cost you about a thousand Pesos for two here and they open late in the day. Good news, folks! They now serve buffet breakfast starting at 7am for only P145! Yes, that's right - P290 for two 😊. They have a pretty decent selection of dishes for the price, and everything tastes good. What's different about this place is that the drinks come free with the buffet, unlike other places that will lure you in with low buffet price and then hit you with expensive drinks. They also have a smoking section that looks comfortable enough, and the staff are all courteous and friendly. I would recommend this place to my friends and family

The people behind the very successful food franchise Master Siomai has expanded into the full-service restaurant business. Master Garden serves mainly Filipino dishes--with such amusing names as Tuyo with Love, Putok-Batok, Istapeghi, and Ligaya ni Aguinaldo--with a smattering of familiar Western, Chinese, and Thai dishes. Master Garden's success in its first outlet in Malabon prompted the birth of its second outlet in Quezon City (along Tomas Morato), where I and a dozen other foodies were invited to sample its menu.If your family is anything like mine, eating out on a Sunday means crispy pata, beef kare-kare, pork or fish sinigang, and mounds of piping hot rice. I eschew these traditional Filipino dishes, and recommend the dishes below which Master Garden does quite well.Sugpo sa Maalat na Dagat - Succulent tiger prawns doused with spicy salted egg sauce. That first taste of its lush sauce will have everyone on your table calling dibs. The texture could be better with the addition of one or two regular egg yolks in the sauce, and maybe a little less heat. Nevertheless, Master Garden's version of this dish is very good, and is a must-try.Baby Squid in Olive Oil - It is a deceptively simple dish made by sauteeing the tender flesh of young squid in olive oil and garlic, but it is not short on flavor. This dish demands a lot of extra rice, and will surely wreck someone's strict low-carb diet.Chicken BBQ - I know. I prefaced my list of recommended dishes with that caveat on traditional Filipino dishes. But Master Garden's version is delicious and flavorful, and can hold its own against Manila's most popular chicken barbecue restaurant.Binagoongan a la Malabon - Half ensaladang talong, half crispy bagnet. It is my kind of salad! Adobong Puso ng Saging - Another veggie dish that I enjoyed a lot. It strikes the near-perfect balance between sweet and sour and savory-garlicky goodness. It makes a great complement to Master Garden's Putok-Batok crispy pata or any of its meaty entrees.Master Garden deserves to be bookmarked on your website app. Thank you, Master Garden, for the sumptuous spread!#TheFoodCrawlers

Food - 4/5Service - 4/5Value for money - 4/5 (if you visit in a group of at least 4) Was my second time eating here :)Got the squid/shrimp, fried rice, laing and crispy pata :) The food was very tasty although portion size was a bit small. The wait staff was very attentive and very friendly. The resto is a bit on the pricey side so i suggest you go in a small group rather than dining for two, so you could sample more of their entrees :) its a thumbs up for me :) an above average filipino resto in my honest opinion :)

I thought they have a limited menu but it looks like they offer a lot. First the place is nice and cold. Well lit with comfy seats. We liked what we ordered. It tastes okay. I'll come back for the baby squid.Servers are not trained well and they talk a lot.

When I first came across Master Garden, I thought it was either a Chinese restaurant, or a vegetarian restaurant. It is actually a Filipino restaurant, with the same owner as Master Siomai, thus the name "Master". This is their 2nd branch after their successful first in Malabon. For my first visit, I was invited by the owners to try their dishes. It was so good that I invited my family to try it as well. We are really satisfied with the food and it is inexpensive too. Here are some of the dishes we tried:- Baby Squid in Olive Oil - the best dish of the house! Tiny tender squid swimming in olive oil. Lightly salted and fun to munch on.- Bagnet Salad - pork belly is really crispy and sitting on top of Filipino salad with bagoong sauce. We did not know at first, but it is more delicious if you toss everything together.- Kaldereta na Baka ni Pepe - the beef was very tender. The sauce was cheesy and with lots of liver. A perfect kaldereta!- Adobong Kambing - goat spareribs seasoned and fried. It's like eating a tender jerky. So good.- Pork Sisig - I rarely find a restaurant that serves good sisig to my liking. At Master Garden, their sisig is crunchy and well seasoned. The egg really balanced the dish.- Sinigang na Baboy - I am never a fan of sour foods, but their version is not as sour yet it makes me increase my appetite. The pork is also soft and easy to chew.- Binukadkad na Tilapia - presentation is neat but I find it difficult to eat. The vegetable stuffing is on top of the scalloped fish. It is delicious though.- Bangus Belly ala Pobre - the fish is boneless and fried and sauced then topped with onions. An equally good dish.- Laing - very good presentation and a large slab of this dish made with taro leaves. Balance of flavor and taste.- Ginisang Puso ng Saging - something unique for Filipino restaurants, and a great dish for banana heart-lovers.- Chicken BBQ - a must try! Delicious and flavorful. They also have good desserts. We tried Halo-Halo, Suman at Latik, Buko Pandan, and Leche Flan. All made with traditional Filipino recipes.Try Master Garden. It's classic Filipino comfort food and satisfaction is guaranteed.

Worst experience ever. Their breakfast buffet is super thumbs down.👎👎 Food tastes bad except for their Tapa. They serve dried or blowered Bacon I don't know, it's super dry and doesnt have any taste at all! It's like eating dried paper 😔 worst, they dont get to refill empty trays of food immediately, they make the customers wait (wise way of earning money-since this is a buffet). Costs 145 and they do take around 5% service charge ata. Glasswares are scarce and the juice/iced tea is almost always empty (container is only small). Not a good place if you're hungry. Ugh, worst bacon ever. 😔

Was invited over for dinner here a few weeks ago and what I remember about Master Garden are the beatifully presented dishes, the relaxed ambience, and of course, the delicious food. Here's what we've tried:Sugpo sa Maalat na Dagat - Head on shrimp wth salted egg sauce; The shrimp was cooked perfectly and since it was fried in the shell, you can actually eat the whole thing. I really liked the idea of a salted egg sauce but I thought their version lacks richness. To be honest, I've had better.Baby Squid in Olive Oil - Squids sautéed in garlic, olive oil, and bay leaf. OMG, it was so damn good. It's such a simple yet delicious dish and there's really not much more to say about it but go out and try it when you visit Master Garden.Binukadkad na Tilapia- whole Tilapia fish, fried hard and served with diced onions, tomatoes, and cucumber. I thought the presentation was really nice but since the bone was still intact, we had a difficulty eating it.Laing - I admit, I'm not a big vegetable eater but I was really shocked how much I liked this dish. It was cooked to perfection and had a nice texture without being too mushy. I can tell that the chef put a lot of care and loving into this dish.Binagoongan ala Malabon - Grilled eggplant topped with bagoong, tomatoes, and onions served with crispy, golden-brown Pork Belly. Everyone at the table was really happy with this dish. The combination of the eggplant, sliced onions, and tomatoes was a great palate cleanser. Out of the seven desserts we've tried, the Halo-halo and Buko Pandan were tops in my book. What I like about Master Garden is that it has a feel and food that is entirely unto its own and not just another Filipino restaurant copycat. Overall, amazing Filipino comfort dishes for a fraction of the price of a prix-fixe meal at any other restaurant. Master Garden is an experience, for sure - one every single one of you should definitely have. Many thanks to Master Garden for hosting my visit.

Me an my fiancé where just walking qround tomas morato and he found the look of the place already interesting plus having a copy of a menu outside helped convince him to try it..We ordered the kalderetang baka ni pepe and binusog na pusit.. He's a very picky eater but he really enjoyed the food and said to me that I should bring my parents here too.So when a perfect opportunity arrived with my parent anniversary and my mom's birthday, I insisted on going to this place. Arriving there we were greeted by the nicest staff. They answered all my questions politely. Then we decided to order the boodle feast, kalderetang baka ni pepe and binagoongan ala malabon. My parents enjoyed the food and even got a complimentary slice of cake for their anniversary! The overall experience was great! With the service, the quality of the food and the ambience of the place. I definitely recommend it to every foodies and their family!@

This is a place to try for some interesting new takes on Filipino food, as well as well as solidly old-fashioned, Tagalog homestyle cooking.I'd heard of Ernie Chan's fame as successful entrepreneur behind Master Siomai, but was unaware that he had started a Filipino dining venture called Master Garden, first in his hometown of Malabon, and now in the showbiz district of Quezon City. Outside the Quezon City store is a coffee shop, while the inside is a restaurant with a live bar/acoustic setup.A number of dishes are of Chinese Filipino influence; the restaurant also leverages use of local seafood, which Malabon is known for. So let me point you first to two dishes I think are among their strongest: their sugpo sa maalat na dagat, large prawns in a salted egg coating and a buttery sauce; and their baby squid in olive oil - tender squid cooked in a nutty olive oil with toasted garlic and a splash of wine. They employed a delicate touch on both these dishes; do not let them get cold when they arrive at table!Of stellar quality also were their binagoongan a la Malabon - an ensalada of grilled eggplant, onions, tomatoes topped with crispy-skinned pork belly, the pork belly skin done crispy just like the Cantonese do with their siu yuk; and a tinapa-accented laing, wrapped in banana leaves. I am not a big laing eater, and I loved this.Old-fashioned chicken barbecue, beef kaldereta with a cheesy topping, and mixed noodle bam-i strike a chord, just like their binukadkad na tilapia, which is stuffed with mango and tomato, but not butterflied, as usually seen in other restaurants.I feel that what could make Master Garden jump from very good to really great is a more interesting selection of desserts, but nothing is disappointing here. Their buco pandan and halo halo are good and filling, while their other desserts are fairly ordinary. Their coffees and frappes are of coffee-shop quality; the latter qualify as good dessert.Almost a 4.5. Almost.
