If you’re craving savory and value-for-money food at Fairview near FEU, Mardee’s is your sort of place. Located at Rolex Street, it exudes an easy vibe that students and locals will love. It’s also a nice coffice (coffee+office) for remote workers and study groups though coffee isn’t part of the menu. You might want to order their lip-smacking chicken wings in exchange of coffee though, but they do have shakes. So what can you expect at Mardee’s? Here are just some of the few dishes to try:  Porterhouse Steak (230 php)- with rice, a side dish, and the soup for the day. This is a thin but large slice that can easily be shared (unless you love your meats). T-Bone Steak (199 php) - also comes with with rice, a side dish, and the soup for the day. This part is quite flavorful and the gravy enhances it. Wings - Mardee’s wings come in three different flavors, K-wings, Smoky wings, and Honey Garlic. They all taste great and can easily beat out the more established food chains for taste and value. The chicken is all crispy and sauce-y on the outside and tender on the inside. They also serve silog meals, sisig and salpicao, among others.

Somewhere north of the Metro, conveniently located near 2 universities is Mardee's Steak & Bowls. They promote steaks for less since they mainly cater students. Although their prices are cheap, the taste and amount of food are not compromised.Below are the filling meals plated out to us:Porter House and T-Bone Steak - Both have generous amount of gravy! How I loved it that I can eat just the rice with it. The steak which I prefer to be medium rare pretty much sufficed my cravings for it. I opted to choose their mashed potato for the sides and did I forget that they also serve it with their soup for the day to complete the nosh-up.Beef Salpicao - Ample amount of beef and mushroom. The meat is so tender I wanted another order!Chicken wings - You can choose from K-sauce (Sweet and a little spicy, can request more spiciness from them) Smokey Wings and Honey GarlicPork Sisig - Soft small chunks of pork sauteed to the traditional Filipino dish topped with freshly beaten egg. I was delighted that the meat, not like the others, is not rubbery.Other than the above mentioned dishes, they also have all day breakfast: Tosilog, Longsilog, Spamsilog and Tapsilog. So if you had a bad hangover and woke up in the afternoon, you can go for their silogs to cure the after effects. For the most part, I enjoyed that they have this very casual place to stay. Brings me back to my good ole college days ♥

Mardee's is a neighborhood steak restaurant in this part of Fairview. Near FEU school and hospital and by my friends' old hood of Fairview Park, this is a passion project of its owner, Sugar (and for whom the restaurant is named, obviously on her real name 😆). As the name implies, Mardee's is a Steak place, and their beef is from Batangas, which is known for our best source of local beef. They also serve wings, and other pulutan's (though they don't serve alcohol, so hanggang matinding kuwentuhan without ze intoxication 😊), plus all day breakfast, all at an affordable price. 😉TIPS:+MUST ORDER#1 Porterhouse PhP 230 this is their most expensive dish. While they get a lot of Med school students during school, they ought to get more people from the hood to try their steak. It's big, though thin, but I liked it a lot. Garlic rice, and, OMG, their gravy is so flavorful, savory, every so light sweetness. Pampa-sira ng diyeta! 😁+MUST ORDER#2 Sisig. PhP99, good flavor, side dish and for sharing. +MAYBE TRY: Wings. I love their batter and flavor (the bbq or I think buffalo) but their chicken was dry. I hope that was an aberration coz I gave the feedback to Sugar. We also tried their all day breakfast offerings which are bang for the buck. I also got to try their salpicao and t bone steak which were good, too. Mardee's ratings, at a glance: > Food & Beverage: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (I rate this as a neighborhood steak place, which is what it is, no pretentiousness) > Service (Dine-In): 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 (friendly, attentive)  > Kitchen Service: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 (the steaks took some time but the wait was worth it... Did I mention the GRAVY??? 😋😆😊> Ambience: 🌟🌟🌟🌟 > Value for Money: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 some dishes are below P100. Zolid! ___________> Worth a try - Yes> Worth a return - n/a to me, but i definitely recommend this to folks who live, study or work in Fairview and the surrounding areas! > VERDICT: 🌟🌟🌟🌟Mardee's is indeed a worthy neighborhood steak place and it is worth visiting for the Fairview, Lagro and nearby folks without breaking the bank. 😊China Johnbunag Ken Lingling Cortha Lamasan Manang Bidang Boyeatworldph

Getting to Mardee’s Steaks and Bowls was already a major challenge from me from the get-go. First off, I come from the south and taking an uber would probably cost more than a nice meal at a fine restaurant. Second, i have never been deep into Fairview, QC so navigation was quite a challenge but an exciting one nonetheless. Lastly, finding the place was still a challenge coz even though its just behind FEU NMRC, it takes a little more skill to find the place because its way back at the end of the street with no other visible signage leading to the place other than the one above their doors. Regardless, the restaurant itself feels fresh and modern a far cry from the other homely restaurants in the area. They serve steaks, sizzling plates, and other filling meals and comfort food that fit within the budget of students around the area without compromising taste. Here’s the rundown.WINGS!: Their fried chicken wings comes in 3 ways, KStyle, Smoky BBQ, and Honey Garlic. I was able to try both the KStyle and the Smoky BBQ both were surprisingly delicious. For 160 you can get 3 piecing of wings and 3 lollipops coated in delicious sauces soo good that you will need gloves to fully enjoy this. The K Sauce is well inspired by Korean Fried Chicken with strong notes of garlic and ginger giving it a uniquely oriental twist. While the Smoky BBQ tasted like hickory spices with a hint of smokiness (duh). Both a equally delicious in their own way and perfect with a nice cold beer or Rice para wholesome haha.Porterhouse Steak: For Php 230 you can get one sizzling plate of locally sourced steak with some buttered corn and peas, their special gravy, soup, and rice. Not a bad deal no? The steak itself was a big as the hot plate and was cooked above medium and sliced about 2cm thick allowing it to retain the tenderness while retaining that nice beefy taste. The gravy injected a lot of flavor to the steak and the addition of soy sauce (or something to that effect) to the typical mushroom gravy added a unique yet very filipino touch to the dish.Salpicao: For those who want something that’s just as good as steak but a little less expensive you can try out their Salpicao. The tiny strips of beef tenderloin are cooked with garlic chips, mushrooms and secret sauce perfect alongside a big pile of rice. Beef and Garlic obviously go perfectly well together while the rich and savory gravy will make you order a one plate of rice after another. Although it's quite similar to other Salpicao that you can get in other places, everything was done right so reinventing the wheel didn’t really matter in the end as long as its good.Sisig: What would a sizzling plate/steakhouse be without Sisig, the authentically Pinoy dish has been a mainstay in a lot of restaurants because it is something that almost all Pinoys love and consider as one of their favorite cheat meals. No two Sisig plates are identical and Mardee’s Sisig is more of the saucier variant compared to the usual crispy variant. Of course the eggs, chillies, and calamansi are still there giving it some familiarity. I wasn’t quite a fan of their Sisig however because i felt like it was a little salty and had too much fat/collagen. But for the price of P99 that sure is a bargain and it could still be appreciated by others. All Day Breakfast: Lastly, Mardee’s also serves breakfast all day. The breakfast plate comes in 4 variants: Tocilog, Longsilog, Spamsilog, and Tapsilog. Most Pinoys can probably picture out what these plates contain but for those who don’t know the Long and Spam stands for the main viand which is in this case Longganisa and Spam as well as Sinangag (fried rice) and Egg. The heartshaped egg was a cute touch of presentation by the way! The longganisa was very authetic to the Longganisa that you can get in the Provinces with it strong pork and garlic taste without being super oily. The Spamsilog was well, Spam so i suggest that you order Longsilog or Tapsilog for something more authetic! Each plate costs only 110 so that’s a major bargain and one plate could easily fill you up while you might have extra for another plate.Overall, Mardee’s Steaks and Bowls is a really good restaurant that serves delicious meals at an affordable price. Students and people on a budget will definitely love dining here as well as Meat lovers like myself. They have Wi-fi and a bathroom which is fantastic and a really delicious and lemon-ey House Tea. This restaurant is quite hard to find but everything from the food to the portions and the price is just right so this is a diamond in the rough that’s definitely worth the visit!

Mardees is located near Good Shepherd and FEU Regalado in Fairview. It was a great option for people to have it here because of its great food at a very reasonable price. We tried out some of their food and here's my recommendations:Porterhouse Steak (230 php)It comes with rice, a side dish, and the soup for the day. Gravy was really good. The slice was thin but still good.T-Bone Steak (199 php)Same with porterhouse.Wings (varies depending on order)It comes in three different flavors, K-wings, Smoky wings, and Honey Garlic. I like the Honey Garlic, combined with K-wings for a play in flavor. I hope they can release a sample platter for the wings. They also have other items that you might want to try when you drop by. They also have Beef Salpicao, Sisig, and the Breakfast Silogs to choose from. They serve Cocacola products here to go with your meal. All in all, Mardees is a good budget option if you are within the area.
