This Luk Foo Cantonese restaurant is a hidden food haven located at the Puregold Mall, Araneta, Cubao. You wouldn’t know it is there until you enter the Puregold building. My friend instructed me to just enter the building because it is near the entrance and the escalator. True enough I never had a hard time looking for it. It is noticeable when you are already inside Puregold. The place is not that full of people, well maybe let us take into consideration the location… it is hidden! But then again customers come and go. Tables and chairs near the wall are cushioned, while those of the middle were made of somewhat kind of rattan with brown colors. The store looks clean but a bit dim and of course with a bit of Chinese/Cantonese accents.Crew is great, just raise your hand and they are fast to attend to your needs, although house tea is available upon request. We came here just to differentiate the taste of our favorite beef broccoli, salt and pepper spareribs, yang chow rice and their wanton soup. The plating makes no difference from other Chinese store we’ve eaten. Looks are the same, the beef is soft and the blanched broccoli is in its perfect green color. The spareribs is good, not too fatty and salty, it is crunchy with a little zesty taste but that’s perfect for me. The yang chow has bigger chops of meat and shrimp, one serving is good for two to three people. Oh, what makes the food differ from other stores is the taste. It is tastier in here, even the simple wanton soup is great. There is a big probability for us to come back to this store whenever the craving arises!

It has been a while since I ate at Luk Foo. We used to come here for their peking duck. This time around we tried their noodles, sweet and sour pork rice, mixed seafood rice and fish fillet with taosi. We were surprised when we saw how huge the portions were. The bowls were huge and filled. The sweet and sour pork was perfect - true test of a greay Chinese place. Enjoyed the stir fried noodles as well. This is value for money Chinese food. Would have given 5 if it were not for the servers pouting and throwing things at the table wanting you to eat fast so they can pack up and leave.

Hay. When will B and I learn how to estimate? HAHAHA We had to finish some errands around Cubao and the B decided to take me to Luk Foo for our late lunch. He was raving about this restaurant for months so he was glad to finally take me there. I am a fan of Crispy Noodles (260PHP) so I know I had to order that. Their servings were large enough for the entire family. Imagine nalang ang na take out namin for ordering a lot. HAHA

I tried Luk Foo for the first time. My Mom & I originally ordered Hakaw, Beef Brisket & Wanton Noodles and Asado Pork Barbecue rice toppings. Unfortunately, the beef brisket wasn't available so I settled for Beef Balls in noodles. Overall, the taste wasn't so bad but for such price (yes, they're kinda pricey for me), I was hoping they'd taste even better. The Asado Pork toppings looked like it wasn't freshly cooked. Although they had really generous rice. The side pickled veggies was good. However, the Asado tasted a little bland. As for the noodle, it was just right. Both servings are huge and good for sharing. The ambiance was ok although while we were eating there were flies roaming inside the said restaurant, considering it was inside Puregold and in an air-conditioned place. Only goes to show they're not that clean in their surroundings. It was probably my first and last time to try eating at Luk Foo. I don't think I'd be back there soon.

solid chinese food with plenty of branches around the metro. even farther flung places in the metro like caloocan and mindanao avenue. If you want decent chinese food with decent quality compared to fastfood chains like chowking, go to puregold's luk foo.

Hakaw & Siomai. I love hawak! Ang sarap lang talaga. Too bad I didn't get the chance to take the other food we ate here pero next time , I'll add them here . Food here is good!

This place is one of the few restos in Araneta Center where one can get decent Chinese food. This branch of Luk Foo does not carry all the menu items of the other bigger branches but they serve just enough dishes to satisfy one's craving for Chinese food. The dimsum here are delicious. I ordered hakaw and pork siomai in one of my visits here and I was satisfied with what I got. Another thing I like about this place is their P128.00 meals. This is perfect for daily lunch break meals. You get to choose from Fish Fillet with Tofu, Curry Chicken or Sweet and Sour Pork dishes, all served with rice. You can also get a Beef Mami or Wanton Mami with a siopao on the side for the same price. There are also two kinds of noodles that you can get for P128. These dishes even come with a glass of iced tea. It's a good deal, folks. I usually get the Fish Fillet and the serving is quite generous and it's delicious. The Beef Mami is also quite good with big chunks of tender beef. Quite tasty. The staff here is also nice and attentive. I regularly eat here as the place is very welcoming. One can also hold meetings here as it is a quiet place tucked away inside the Puregold building. There are plenty of tables.

I felt like I hit the jackpot when I tasted their sweet and sour pork. That is the exact taste and consistency of sauce that I'm looking for. They serve huge servings of meals that are good for sharing. I'd like to commend their staff for their politeness and work performance. He is knowledgeable of the menu and was able to give good recommendations. Also, when my mom (a senior citizen) asked the server for a knife so she can cut the beef brisket in smaller pieces; the server came to our table and cut the meat for us. Big thanks for doing that.

I ordered Beef Brisket and Wanton Noodles for only P150.00 and the servings are big enough for 2.
