One of my favorite dim sum and chinese places for laureate. Really bummed out that their Makati branch closed down permanently. Their suahe is so good, some days they are so sweet and with big sizes, heads of the shrimp are even good to suck, better than crab heads. Dim sum wise, one kf the few places that makes the thick flat rice noodle with shrimp filling topped off with light/sweet soy sauce. All around great food, but again, wish their Makati branch was still open.

Their dimsum is definitely the best in the metro! The raddish cake was spectacular as it has real raddish and chorizo chunks. Beef ball tastes like the ones in HK. Xiao long bao is very juicy and delicious. Other must try dimsum dishes are kuchay dumpling, taro cake, asado chong fan

The food is so delicious! My favorite dish is their xiao long bao and salted egg shrimp! I do not eat duck but I was mind blown when I tried their pecking duck 3 ways. I also highly recommend their lechon macau. The porn skin is super crispy it’s basically illegal. And for dessert, don’t forget to order their custard bun. This is the only restaurant in Banawe that serves this sweet soft goodness.

I've been to almost all Chinese restaurants in Banawe and among them, the best is most likely is Lucky Rainbow located in Z-mall. The quality of their dishes including dimsums is noticeably better than the others. There's just two issues that they somehow still haven't solved until now, service can be slow and the air conditioning inside the restaurant is insufficient to give ample coldness. Regardless, I'm still giving them 5 stars even with these 2 flaws. Can't recall how many times I've eaten here but more or less, food quality has been consistent so far.

We were very disappointed with our lunch yesterday. Lucky Rainbow is not what it used to be... the service, food quality, and cleanliness have declined dramatically.Going in the restaurant, you will see lots of their staff hanging outside the perimeter of the restaurant, most of them are sweaty, and some are even picking their noses... when you stepped on their carpet you will feel how sticky it was...The food prices have also gone up, but the quality has declined. The polonchay was overcooked and the taste became bitter, the dimsum are just salty. The yang chow fried rice and chicken perhaps made us a bit happy as it is flavorful and rich withumami flavors. However the price tag was on the expensive side even though the food taste is mediocre. My wife and I spent Php1,800 for this meal... what’s not on the photos are xiao long bao and hakaw.

    • total bill: 6000ish for 6 people and 10 dishes* photo below• what to order:- 2 sets of siao long pao*: tastes really authentic with the soup inside so be careful when eating it. tbh we only ordered 1 set but then ordered another BC it's that good- raddish cake: also another of my fave. super nakakaiba ang raddish cake dito. the texture is really different from normal Chinese restaurants i go to, definitely give it a try.- lechon kawali*: despite it being a Filipino dish, they cooked it really well. funny how my fave lechon kawali is found here. but disappointed that it wasn't super warm when it arrived- oyster cake: ok din. lots of oysters and yummy naman- fukien fried rice*: really recommend this for kids and adults BC yummy and healthy siya. it's different from yang chow fried rice and you can't find this in a lot of restuarants. super recommend this 🌟- shrimp ball: my whole family commended this because the shrimp is really authentic and it's actually really big. a lot of them said this was their favorite dish.- tofu with seaweed on top in abalone sauce*: we always order this because the sauce is really good and the way they cooked the tofu is really well done.- soup: i forgot what it was called but i didn't like it because of the strong ginger taste. my mom said it was healthy but a lot of the kids disliked it.- fish fillet with tofu skin*: yummy din daw but we just packed it home since we were all super busog when it came out- free desserts: idk if you have to reach a certain amount, but they usually give free desserts. you can pick 2 from: masachi, buchi, taro sago, mango sago, taho, malay cake and fruits. we got taho and malay cake, super yum!• final thoughts: minus one star because ambiance isn't that good and we found a small cockroach on the table before the food came out. food is yummy and i love it but a i wish they served the food a little hotter.- tip: pay using cash. i think you get a 10% discount if you do.

I usually dine here with my family. Service is decent but things havent been the same since their head waiter left. I recall he could make anything happen in this restaurant. Sell me a lot and still make me leave happy.Their xiao long paos are pretty decentTao xi spare ribs are great too.

UPDATE:I've always loved Lucky Rainbow dimsum but their set menu is pretty good as well! Personally, I liked their roast meat combination, the soy chicken (even without the sauce!), the suahe and steamed crab (very fresh!), steamed lapu lapu and their birthday noodles.I didn't really like their spinach seafood soup, fried taro duck and Taho though :(DIMSUM REVIEW:This place has the BEST dimsum ever - this coming from a total dimsum enthusiast. My personal faves:1. Hakaw: huge succulent shrimps inside, their sionai is bursting with goodies2. Xiao long pao is filled with the yummy soup and beef (although they really have to wrap it better as the skin breaks easily)3. Radish cake: you can taste the real radish when you bite into their radish cake4. Taro radish cake: super interesting flavor (which might be even better than the radish cake itself)5. Kuchay dumpling: it's huge! And bursting with veggies. So yummy6. Siomai: Classic dimsum dish, can't go wrong with this one7. Shrimp rice roll: Big shrimps, love the silky rice roll, and great sauce!I can go on and on and on - but you really must try it for yourself!Given the quality of ingredients, their dimsum is pretty expensive. BUT if you go here during a weekday night and pay in cash, you get a 40% discount which is HUGE

Best dimsum place you’ll find along Banawe (or in Manila perhaps, considering affordability and food quality)! Their dimsums are so much tastier than most chinese restaurants I’ve tried. Their chef comes from Hong Kong giving their food that special authentic taste! This is our family’s favorite dimsum place! If you’re a big fan of Hakaw, you should definitely try this place. Other than Hakaw, they also have the best fried Taro Cake (which actually isn’t available in other chinese restos). Unlike other restaurants with dimsum promotions during odd hours, Lucky Rainbow has all their dimsum at promo price during lunch time (until 2:30pm). Some dimsum recommendations:Hakaw (of course) - great tasting juicy shrimp insideTaro Cake - my new favoriteBeef BallXiao Long BaoOrdinary Siomai - not much fat which is what I likeRice Roll / ChongfanEgg Yolk Bun - dessert type siopao! Yum!Kuchay Dumplings Japanese SiomaiSiopao
