I am so sorry.Been using website for 6 years now, and this is my first review.. It was that bad, that I had to vent / share. The Service: Really Bad from all of their employees.. There’s like a “MEAN-ess” from them. You can feel it and you can see it from all of their employees. Even the next table from us felt it too and even shared what their “reklamo” to us.The Food: Bad, too salty, and too MSG-y. And super bagal i-serve ng food.Won’t be coming back.Won’t be coming back.Won’t be coming back.

This is my go-to Chinese eatery/restaurant since I live so near and on a good day, there's no need to commute. What I love about this restaurant is that everything is BIG- serving size and flavor-wise, and that their prices seemed to be inflation-resistant (haha!).Their rice meals are affordable and their portions are hefty. Lechon Kawali Rice, Chopsuey Rice, and Beef and Veggies Rice (all under 200 pesos) are truly value-for-money eats. They have this bowl of Beef Wonton Noodle Soup (160php or so) that I order for sharing. Their dimsums, especially their sometimes-elusive Xiao Long Bao, won't really break your bank.Sure, they have waitstaff that looked like they have been there for decades (I'd like to choke it up on their employers being able to take good care of them). Not as warm and accommodating as we all want them to be, but I can tolerate the lukewarm service as long as they don't go snooty on me.Their food is not the very photogenic kind, and it feels like a dear Guama's place or an extension of home so much that it feels awkward to snap away some photos of my meal there. You get the picture. Haha!

Partner and I live around Welcome Rotonda but never tried Luck Garden Seafood until today. Despite it being the weekend around lunch time, we were glad to have been seated right away due to the place not being crowded. As other Chinese restaurants do, the place served hot tea for which we were grateful. The white cups, however, I wiped down with a tissue because the inner rim looked gray. Know that I'm not really the OC-kind of person who checks and wipes utensils prior to eating but those cups begged for deeper cleaning or better, replacement. We ordered their Luck Garden fried rice, a small serving of Lemon Chicken (which we were told was good enough for three people), a serving of stuffed beancurd skin, beef shumai, and century egg shumai. It was a long wait, which would have been a bit tolerable had the servers been just a tad apologetic. We followed up twice for our fried rice. The food was subpar. The stuffed beancurd was confusingly on the sweeter side, the beef shumai was bland, and the lemon chicken was a plate of very thin chicken strips (almost chicken chips) that were caked in breading before deep frying. Good enough for three if you and your friends are looking to eat chewy chicken strips with about a tablespoon of lemon sauce that made for a very dry mouthful. The fried rice was meh with these crunchy orange bits we were told were scallops. The only thing that tried to pull everything together was the century egg shumai which was nice at best. For dessert, partner ordered an almond with lychee while I went for the almond with grass jelly. They came in small bowls with shaved ice and we had to eat them with Chinese spoons. The almond with grass jelly tasted like your typical sago gulaman. Partner wasn't able to finish his dessert because it was overly sweet. The bill totalled a bit above P1000, which we would have been fine with had the food been good. We decided that it was our first and last time at Luck Garden Seafood.

The first time reviewing this because I was really disappointed. The food was alright, actually I enjoyed the hakaw (it's hard to mess it up), their special seafood hotpot (more of a stew compared to my expectations, but still good), beef noodle soup (with a huge serving), and the mother of all chickens, their white chicken that was very juicy, with the ginger paste that i could eat all day. Their shao long pao's skin was too thick, and big for my liking, but overall you get the worth of your money because it satisfies your cravings. The ambiance is casual and the paintings at the right side give it a better look, but the tables are a bit dirty when we got there. Another plus is their clean comfort room with  bidet and separate rooms for men and women so you don't have to line up.Their customer service was the thing that disappointed me the most, the first thing I saw was the table in front of the entrance, where staffs were taking breaks, talking, and selling/giving tshirts to each other? No one guided us to a table, a lady looked at asked us "Ano po yon?" with a insincere look, just stood beside the mentioned table and didn't bother to guide as anywhere. A man gave us menus when we sat down, then left, overall he took our orders and was the only person who assisted us nicely and refilled our glasses with water even with us not asking. My Tito asked if there's a wifi and a female server said that it was just for the owner, she could;ve said it in a nicer way but maybe I'm just too expectant for a nice customer service. Our table didn't have tissues and condiments so we had to ask everytime. They also forgot that we ordered white chicken but my tito insisted we take it since it's good. I guess the female servers are only kind to their regulars, or people that they know. If you're a new face, they are just clumped in groups talking to each other.Sayang. Sayang. The place was okay, and the food was great considering the price. Would just order their white chicken for takeout next time.

We’ve eaten our fair share and thought that Luck Garden Seafood Restaurant is a Chinese eater’s paradise, with a good array of affordable dishes to choose from. If you know which food to order, it’s possible to taste your way across most of Chinese cuisine. We deserved something hot for starters: a medium-sized bowl of Nido with Quail Egg Soup (PHp 420) made the cut. Known to promote youthfulness and long life, this soup is typically eaten during Chinese New Year. With crab meat and corn, the bird’s nest soup was not at all disgusting. Judging by the price, I think it’s not the real bird’s nest that was used as ingredient here. Nonetheless, the slightly sweet taste and the gelatinous texture were okay.I liked that the vegetables in Lohan Vegetables (PHp 198) were crisp and colorful. This is a great dish to order this Lenten season as well as when you feel the need to detox. :P Luck Garden Seafood Restaurant’s version is a showstopper, packed with earthy mushrooms, bamboo shoots and hearty peas and carrots. The layers of flavor are well-developed, starting from the sticky and yummy sauce that’s good to be paired with rice. The Sweet and Sour Pork (PHp 210) is a simple dish with a lot of tangy flavor thanks to the pineapples and caramelized onions. Entrees with this kind of zesty sauce are good to be eaten as leftover the next day when the fish has sopped the juices more intensively; that is, if you have any.The Beef Tenderloin Chinese Style (PHp 250) was lean and supple. It’s not too chewy, so it’s not hard to swallow but a mouthful to get through. The moisture and juiciness of the meat as well as the well-spiced sauce definitely played the wow factor. This beef dish bucks the crowd-pleasing trend of sweet and sticky in favor of distinct and creative flavors.Next, we had the Seafood Misua (PHp 208) composed of finely textured salted Chinese noodles made of wheat flour stirred with an ample portion of mixed seafood. Some people say that you can tell a lot about the quality of food a Chinese restaurant serves just by judging their fried rice and noodles as these two are most basic. If I were to judge Luck Garden based on this, then I give them a thumbs up.The Fish Fillet with Beancurd Hotpot (PHp 260) was simple enough but the quality of both the fish fillet and beancurd was top-notch. With all other dishes served at the same time, we took our time and let the fish fillet slowly soak more in the broth. The fish became more tender and luscious while the beancurd joining the party only made the entire dish more acceptable to my palate. (Beancurd is one of my favorite food!) :)The skin and batter of the Buttered Chicken (PHp 210) was crunchy with a light exterior. The crust did not overwhelm everything else. The white meat was tender and had the discernible chicken flavor despite that the chicken pieces were overdressed in butter which dominated its delicacy. Ah, sometimes it’s the little things that make a difference.Read more: http://rochkirstin.com/review-of-luck-garden-seafood-restaurant-santo-domingo-quezon-city/

At first, my boyfriend and I went here on whim because Burger King in front of it was closed, little did we know that we found a hidden gem right under our noses! I'd personally recommend their Salt and Pepper Spareribs, not often do I encounter nicely fried spareribs that don't end up a bit tough, but theirs is completely tender and moist. Can't get enough of it! My only remark is their service crew, a little smile and eye contact could go a long way guys! Other than that this place is worth going/trying out. Don't let the first impression bother you, they have generous portions for rice meals if you're on a budget and it's also wallet friendly.

This Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem. The menu offers a wide selection of authentic Chinese food at very affordable prices. The pancit canton which serves 3, for example, costs only 245 pesos. A very appealing gesture... one senior staff which appears to belong to the management (or perhaps, the owner herself) directly assists in serving food and goes around to actively interact with customers. The food in the photo is century siomai, a not-so-usual but delicious dimsum... century egg wrapped in pork, seaweed and egg.

A lovely surprise when we were all brought to Luck Garden for an appreciation lunch. A typical Chinese restaurant with your usual menu of sml orders. But was introduced to not your usual dishes. Dishes like salt and pepper ribs, shrimps, lapu lapu, white and soy chicken were ordered, served and devoured in seconds. Yea it is that good!

Really just ordinary Chinese food to fill our bellies. Our favorite dish may well as be the mixed veggies in garlic sauce, while the rest were just ho-hum on the overall. Our most disliked dish? The Sichuan chicken. Didn't have any flavor at all that would indicate its Sichuan-based origin.Good service but a tad pricey for what they serve. Good for large groups not looking for anything out of the ordinary.
