Take advantage of Lombardi's strengths as an Italian restaurant. It is run by an Italian chef and has authentic touches you may not notice if you're not looking closely.Sure, it's got crowd-pleaser items and ingredients of high website currency (e.g., burrata), but not just. I noticed pasta with bottarga (poutargue or botargo), oven roasted steak, and truffle-flavored dishes. The chef also makes his own pasta, from the ravioli and lasagna to two kinds of long pasta (tagliolini/taglierini). Special items not on the menu are written on a blackboard-painted wall.We were there for lunch, so we weren't keen on spending a lot, but eat a lot we did. The stuffed pizza salad had burrata instead of stracchino, a nice touch. Then we shared a mushroom and truffle flavored pasta with wonderful texture and flavor. The pizza was great both in terms of dough and topping, and we a had little left over to take home.I love the place's bright white country style decor and the chef's own personal touches on the menu. On a prior visit I'd felt that the chef held back on what he could really do because of cost concerns; now that I think he's found price points he can live with, the food speaks well for itself. There's an afternoon coffee and cake buffet for P255, which should help them get traffic between lunch and dinner. It could be worth your while.

The staff was accommodatingEnjoyed the food we ordered:Chicken cacciatoreRisottoBroccoli with bellpepperPasta polpettine (spaghetti with meatballs)Frutti di mare (seafood pasta)Four-cheese pizzaThe pasta in the polpettine was almost soggy in contrast with the frutti di mare which was al dente. I may come back to try their other meals.

Me and my boyfriend decided to have our lunch date at Lombardi's at Robinson's Magnolia. I was immediately impressed by the store and it's manager who seemed to always have a smile on her face. It gave off a really positive vibe.We decided on pasta and pizza. We ordered the Linguine Carbonara (which was outstanding btw, two thumbs up!), pasta which was good for 2 and very reasonably priced. We also ordered the Salame Picante pizza. The pizza was big enough but sadly each slice only had one piece of pepperoni on it!We also ordered some potatoes that were good but ordinary. We asked for ketchup and they gave us something that "resembled" ketchup. Which seemed to be just red food coloring. So that was a minus. While waiting for our order they gave us complimentary bread which I regret to say was awful. We told the manager about it and she came back with another batch but it was equally awful.Every other Italian restaurant we have been to that served us complimentary bread was never this bad. It tasted like it was left over from another day and served to us. So that's another minus. Before I forget, I also ordered their house blend iced tea, which I found to be mediocre.I hope that on my next visit these problems would be addressed, as I honestly loved their pasta and pizza.
