Good, Filipino comfort food has always been my staple lunch hour date on workdays. Easy, affordable and convenient. Twas one of those days that I hurriedly drove out of work without any plans of where I'd be spending my 30-minute quick lunch break. Upon deliberation, my colleagues decided to feast on at Lola Idang's.We ordered Pancit Malabon since it is their signature dish, Fresh Lumpia, Lomi, Sinigang and Lechon Kawali. The food wasn't horrendous but we were all disappointed. I thought initially that maybe I just had too much salt from my breakfast meal, but I really couldn't taste anything from all the food we got. Suddenly one of my friends blurted out "Bakit hindi maasim ang sinigang?" (How come sinigang isn't sour?). And there it was, skeletons came crushing in.There is something lackadaisical at Lola Idang's during this last visit; in that the customer service aspect is flawed as well, and also missing that expected taste element when it is explicitly stated on the menu board. Plus running out of their signature dish (Pancit Miki Bihon) means that they do not seem to plan ahead. 2.5 stars for an eatery that has had many years to perfect itself and get the kinks out of the lack of effective communication & logistics.

Had lunch here a while ago. This is my favorite Crispy Pata and pancit place. Since I was a kid , my parents would always bring us here (Visayas branch) to eat crispy pata. So this branch of lola Idang's is kind of small and the parking lot was also limited. But the food is very good! Even just the pancit, kare kare and chicken, it made me crave for more! Plus the pichi pichi which is not that sweet but will surely satisfy your craving for dessert. :)

For days that you are on a budget yet looking for delicious homemade meals, Lola Idang's is for you. Their Pansit Malabon and Tapsilog are our favorites. The place is a bit small and old so please bear with them on this.

The White Plains strip is getting busier every time I get to pass by this street. Decades ago this used to be a quiet residential area. I skipped breakfast and was on the way to my restaurant for an event when I spotted this quaint food establishment known for its Pancit Malabon. I haven’t tried it since, so I stopped and checked it out.Their menu is limited and quite affordable. I tried their Pancit Malabon first and found it ordinary, it was decent but not something I’ll go for again in the future. It lacked toppings, and its noodles too thick. I did like their serving of Kare Kare and Pinakbet. These two orders were budget friendly and was served with generous portions. The Kare Kare was nutty and tasty enough, without much need for it usual bagoong pair.

If you are looking for a restaurant that is affordable and tasty, you can try Lola Idang's. Menu is somewhat limited, but I think that should be alright considering that this isn't really a big restaurant. Staff is efficient, and the place is clean and well-mentained.

I love Lola Idang's. It was cold inside, staff was very accommodating. The pichi pichi was awesome. The crispy pata and kare-kare were not impressive, but still sulit for the price. Still a thumbs up for this restaurant~

After going to church at nearby by mall,we passed by here and decide to eat eat here cause we have tried lola idang's at quezon ave. We ordered what we usually ordered at quezon ave that is binangonan, liempo, chicken mikibihon etc, well it disapointed us taste and texture way off compare to quezon ave branch the mikibihon is so so salty, while lumpia shangai tasted so fishy, while the liempo is so hard to eat the half of it is overcook while half is not that well done and the pork seems not fresh anymore, chicken seems like is frozen dn fried it inside meat is cold, well the sagot gulaman is also down.way way off, service is bad and utensils they serve to us is untidy specially the plate wheres some part are so sticky.the glass with ice is also dirty. The ok part what we order is the softdrinks that it👎👎👎management can you do anything about your service and the quality of the food your serving...also the bangsilog why dont make it boneless, and the cooking oil your using like recycle you can see the picture of lumpia shangai there black spot on it.

Good snack place. It has a cozy ambience like a homy feel. Price points for the foods are really very affordable. Service is ok. I like the simple snack choices aside from the pancit malabon

Lola Idang's is a small Filipino restaurant located in Katipunan Avenue, White Plains. The name of the place speaks of it's specialty as it boasts of their signature pancit Malabon. Unfortunately for me, I'm no pancit connoisseur, so I made 2 visits to try the other favorites. The place is clean and has the basic amenities of a restaurant. Nothing fancy but service is efficient. I asked what were the best sellers. It seem cobsistent that the staff would say these meals: Pancit Malabon, Kare-Kare, Lechon Kawali, and Crispy Pata.I often go solo during my restaurant trips and glad that they have rice meals. So I ordered the Kare Kare which was good, it seems oily though, as seen on the photo but I like the creamy peanut butter taste and texture. Although the beef cuts were limited. It seemed like a cubed beef, a slice of ox tripe, a slice of beef tendon, and another beef slice. I have the habit of stretching the main dishes' meat down to the last spoonful of rice, so I had to cut with tiny bits and pieces, plus had spoonfuls sans the meat prior to the last bite. Good thing there were vegetables to add texture to my meal.Next dish I ordered on my next visit was the Lechon Kawali. It looked like Pork Chop just crunchier but it gave you that fix while dipping the meat on sweet liver sauce. It was accompanied with garlic rice, that was just done right. It had garlic bits, but not oily, which I like.Overall experience is good. Food is priced reasonably. The Kare Kare rice meal was only Php 110, while the Lechon Kawali was 95 pesos. It's home cooked Filipino meals that can give you a quick fix of your craving to local cuisine.

Small resto along White Plains. With limited parking infront of their store. Tried their pancit malabon and super yum!! Texture of the pasta is cooked to perfection, very firm. The taste is superb, not too salty. Affordable price with big servings. We will come back for more!!!
