Good, Filipino comfort food has always been my staple lunch hour date on workdays. Easy, affordable and convenient. Twas one of those days that I hurriedly drove out of work without any plans of where I'd be spending my 30-minute quick lunch break. Upon deliberation, my colleagues decided to feast on at Lola Idang's.We ordered Pancit Malabon since it is their signature dish, Fresh Lumpia, Lomi, Sinigang and Lechon Kawali. The food wasn't horrendous but we were all disappointed. I thought initially that maybe I just had too much salt from my breakfast meal, but I really couldn't taste anything from all the food we got. Suddenly one of my friends blurted out "Bakit hindi maasim ang sinigang?" (How come sinigang isn't sour?). And there it was, skeletons came crushing in.There is something lackadaisical at Lola Idang's during this last visit; in that the customer service aspect is flawed as well, and also missing that expected taste element when it is explicitly stated on the menu board. Plus running out of their signature dish (Pancit Miki Bihon) means that they do not seem to plan ahead. 2.5 stars for an eatery that has had many years to perfect itself and get the kinks out of the lack of effective communication & logistics.

Had lunch here a while ago. This is my favorite Crispy Pata and pancit place. Since I was a kid , my parents would always bring us here (Visayas branch) to eat crispy pata. So this branch of lola Idang's is kind of small and the parking lot was also limited. But the food is very good! Even just the pancit, kare kare and chicken, it made me crave for more! Plus the pichi pichi which is not that sweet but will surely satisfy your craving for dessert. :)

For days that you are on a budget yet looking for delicious homemade meals, Lola Idang's is for you. Their Pansit Malabon and Tapsilog are our favorites. The place is a bit small and old so please bear with them on this.

The White Plains strip is getting busier every time I get to pass by this street. Decades ago this used to be a quiet residential area. I skipped breakfast and was on the way to my restaurant for an event when I spotted this quaint food establishment known for its Pancit Malabon. I haven’t tried it since, so I stopped and checked it out.Their menu is limited and quite affordable. I tried their Pancit Malabon first and found it ordinary, it was decent but not something I’ll go for again in the future. It lacked toppings, and its noodles too thick. I did like their serving of Kare Kare and Pinakbet. These two orders were budget friendly and was served with generous portions. The Kare Kare was nutty and tasty enough, without much need for it usual bagoong pair.

If you are looking for a restaurant that is affordable and tasty, you can try Lola Idang's. Menu is somewhat limited, but I think that should be alright considering that this isn't really a big restaurant. Staff is efficient, and the place is clean and well-mentained.
