It was my second time dining at Lido Cocina. The first one was at their Banawe branch. Our family loves Chinese cuisine, we are greatly influenced by our lolo who always take us to Binondo. So, when a website Meet Up invite here in Lido came up, I quickly accepted it.During our visit, we tried some of their bestsellers. Here are what we tried: -Pork Siomai-Lumpiang Shanghai-Chami Special-Pugon Roasted Asado-Manchurian Wings-Spareribs in Salt and pepper-Shrimp Foo-yung-Yang chow rice-Ice cold coffeeAll of it was good but the ones that stood out for me are their Lumpiang Shanghai, Spareribs in Salt and pepper, Machurian wings, Shrimp foo-yung and their Iced coffee.I would love to comeback here and of course I'll bring the fam with me. :D

It was a beautiful late Saturday afternoon and finally, after days of looking ahead on this website meet up, a delicious spread was readily served. Best-sellers and so as my favorites include Chami Special, Shrimp Foo-Yong, Lumpiang Shanghai and Spareribs with Salt & Pepper. For 80 years now, Lido Cocina has been offering many Chinese classic favorites known to many Chinoys in Metro Manila. Their famous Pugon-Roasted Asado becomesLido's signature dish. but since they maintain wide Menu variants, you could always get something you really want or crave for. They have noodles, dim sum, siopao, Pancit, Congee and even serves Breakfast meals as early as 7 am. It comes with a cup of good siphon-brewed coffee. Other Food served are:Manchurian Wings - their take on Buffalo Wings, flavorful but not spicy. Yang Chow - fried rice cooked perfectly. If you want Sinangag, this one's for you! 😍Lumpiang Shanghai - meaty, crispy and filling. Spareribs in Salt and Pepper - The best spareribs I've had. I loved the additional chopped green and red chili on top. Chami Special - this dish will make you forget your usual Pansit per handaan. Move over, Bihon! Shrimp Foo-Yong - a great dish made of soft scrambled eggs and with Shrimp and vegetables. Overall, it was a marvelous dining experience at Lido Cocina Tsina. I totally enjoyed everything I ate, with Buchi as dessert and a cup of delicious brewed coffee to end it.

Philippines is one of the countries that greatly influenced by Chinese since the 19th century. Some of the popular Chinese dishes became staple food by many, mostly available in pansiterias. In 1936, Mr. Lido, a Cantonese Chef established an eatery called Pansiteria Lido that serves classic Chinese favorites like pugon roasted asado, lomi, pansit, and more. Now, Pansiteria Lido became widely known as Lido Cocina Tsina.

The worst restaurant that I've encountered so far! Delivery was late for one hour that I had to call them twice. The first time I followed up the manager lied saying the rider is out when they haven't even prepared it yet!The meat is not cooked well as if you were eating a reheated version from a microwave! The chopsuey is so bland and only had 2 pieces of small shrimp in it! I would rather eat hospital food! They call it mucho when the serving is too small? False advertisement! The price is too expensive for the quality! Karinderya is so much better than this.Avoid it at all cost or waste your time, patience and money.

If there is a Chinese restaurant that could make me eat lots of Yang Chow and Chami, its none other than Lido Cocina Tsina. My family and I is a frequent diner of their Mindanao Avenue branch for breakfast. However, I got the chance to level up my Lido experience by being able to taste some of their best sellers together with some good friends who also love to eat. We had a lot but let me highlight the following dishes in my review:1. Shrimp Foo-Yong- this one in particular is new not just in my eyes but also in my taste palette. I love shrimps but them being combined with egg with a really good sauce, there was a burst of texture and flavors in my mouth. I cannot help but make sure to go and bring my family and make them taste this dish.2. Yang Chow- what a treat! The serving of their Yang Chow is really big and generous. Not just in terms of the rice but also the ingredients that goes with it -- lots of shrimp, meat and vegetables too. There is a crisp on the carrots, saltiness (not too much) and meaty.3. Chami Special- it reminds me of Udon because of the noodles they use but if you eat the dish itself, I appreciate that its really saucy (sweet and also a kick of soy) also the crunch whenever I munch the vegetables. I am sure that kids would love this dish.4. Spareribs in Salt and Pepper- I am not a fan of Salt and Pepper 'coz honestly some restaurants serve this particular dish in a very mediocre way wherein you cannot enjoy chunks of meat already. Its like eating bones but Lido's was very different.5. Lumpiang Shanghai- Lido's Shanghai is really rich in meat so, if you are not a fan of too much vegetables on your Lumpia, visit Lido and order for your group then. I am personally not a fan of the dish itself due to preference but I would eat if its included in the order.Other dishes I got to try: Manchurian Wings, Pugon Roasted Asado, Chunky Pork Siomai, Buchi, their Local Blend Coffee (available both hot and iced) and Pandesal (which I should try with the Asado next time!)To conclude my visit, I love how each dish in Lido is -- you will get a distinct taste that will make you eat more and not to mention, the flavors are rich. You get what you pay for, and to be honest more than what you pay for.I would definitely come back to try their other dishes.
