Hello Sweeties!I have been planning on trying out the chicken place that had the Lee Min Ho standee, but I never got around to it, so when website got in touch with me, I jumped at the chance to try out their famed and award winning chicken recipes. When I entered KyoChon Eastwood, it reminded...

The place is very nice and comfortable. Kyochon gave anew definition to chicken strips. Their strips with rice batter is really juicy. Paired with honey mustard and garlic butter rice. I can consume 5 more servings of it. One order for small serving is 4 strips.

Been wanting to try Kyochon for a while now since Lee Min Ho has tickled my curiosity by simply endorsing this Korean Chicken brand. Needless to say, it's a lot like it's counterpart, BonChon - only the coating is not as thick in a good way, it's less crispy, and it's more flavorful on the inside. The chili bulgogi lunch set was a good break from the usual lunch meal. It comes with a cupful of aromatic and delicious rice (yes, the rice alone was delish), with a generous serving of the bulgogi and a glass of Pepsi product. The hotness was just right. Not overwhelming or alarming. The place was clean and pleasant with a lot of windows to welcome the natural light. For a Thursday lunch, not much people were there, but it took some time to serve the very few items we ordered. I assumed it was because the kitchen prepares everything as ordered. But for an office girl who's time clock for an hour's lunch is quickly ticking, I was not impressed with the service.

I actually prefer this place in terms of their chicken flavors. The place is near where my work is so it is easy to get to. I always come at nighttime and I always order my usual fare.FOOD:The Original Series is their chicken with garlic soy flavor, the garlic and soy flavor are very pronounced not only when you bite the skin but also on the meat. the technique they use to make sure that even the white meat has this flavor is great; totally addicted to it during my first try.The Red Series comes with a red flag. It is made with real Korean Red Peppers ; It is delicious but also very hot and spicy. So eat this with caution; I tried  it once and never had the courage to eat it all the time unless I am looking for something spicy.I usually pair this with normal rice but for the adventurous, Kimchi Fried Rice is a good bet. The mild garlic soy flavor and the spiciness of the kimchi rice is really a good combo. For those who still wants more flavor in their rice but is not good with spicy food, Try Garlic Rice, it still matches well with their Original Series but it is most outstanding with their Red Series.Need something to cut through that greasiness? The Pickled Radishes are initially ignored by the Filipino masses but I recommend this because it had a cold, sour sweetness to it that helps cleanse your palate. Not a fan of their Plum Tea, it is a flavored cold tea that is carbonated. Not a big fan of carbonated drinks with sour, tart flavor.SERVICE:I do read the menus during my past time and they explained the reasons why it takes 15-20 minutes to serve the food. So In my opinion, I make sure to order efficiently and manage my time since they are not a fast food chain but neither they a high class resto; more like somewhere in the middle.Nevertheless the service I have seen is nothing to complain about when it comes to their night shift crew.I did however had a bad experience with the morning meal I had in Kyochon, I remember being tired and sleepy but in my craving for their food I waited an hour for them to open. My food arrived later than 30 minutes and that was in a take out bag when I SPECIFICALLY said I will be eating here. I had to talk to the manager asking if the service during the morning is really slow because aside from me, there was only a couple dining at the time. The meal turned out for the better because the Manager apologized for his mistakes (yes, he took my order) and I found him watching me while I eat in case I need a refill or wanted anything. He also said that the next time I come here my food will not be late again. This is what I love to hear from a manager, he knew his mistakes and admitted them and served me properly after that error. I appreciate that in a person and I think it should not go to waste.I won't give names but I will come back to this Kyochon any day Mr Manager.

I always have the grilled chicken salad with orange dressing - the dressing is divine and the chicken is soooo tender. One of these days, I might get around to ordering other items in the menu. Tried the soonsal salad once, not bad. But I prefer the grilled chicken.

Nope. Nope. And no.For the people who know me, they would understand why I gave a low rating to Kyochon. I'm a big eater. I believe that eating something expensive should equal quantity and quality. There were only two of us eating at the time so we ordered one serving each of the small (5pcs) edition of the sweet and original chicken. I'm not sure if small meant just a small serving or literally the size of the chicken. I think it was the serving, because the large is served with 20pcs. Chicken wings and legs are at least 30% bone so we didn't really feel full after the meal. It didn't taste extra ordinary either. Just normal. As an appetizer, we also ordered their salad with blueberry dressing. This, I liked. But I'm not going to spend a lunch hour eating just salad. So, I wouldn't be coming back here, unless someone else is paying for it.

It must be a Kyochon's natural ambiance that the staffs (even the manager) would be nice and friendly to every customers. The place is great except for the thought that has openings and there's a table under it. Dust can fall to the customer's food. As per our experience, it's on our water. I suggest to remove the table under the stair instead. Going to the restroom is a bit creeepy as well since it's way too far from the dining area. Other than that, it's good.

Kyochon is a little pricey but the food is great! I love the soonsal series, the breading is very tasty. I like how they don't skimp on the chicken in their salads. Both the grilled chicken salad and soonsal salad get two thumbs up! The Hotteok is a little meh, make sure it's served hot otherwise the texture becomes cardboardish
