Kuya J.A lot of people are saying that Kuya J doesn’t have good dishes. Well as for me, they were fine. They tasted absolutely fine. The staff were approachable. The prices of their food were just enough. The ambience was nice and tidy. Not too warm at all. However, their service was a bit slow. Hoping that they can improve on that.

Me and my girlfriend went on a date again, and we tried their chicken halang-halang, and it was superb it has a nice kick of spice, the chili and the coconut milk gives it the creaminess of the dish but the star was literally the chicken its tender and juicy at the same time me and my girlfriend order more rice then eat some Halo halo. The milk is so thick and the toppings were sweet, The service was nice, all in all it was a great lunch me and my girlfriend will come back again for sure. 😁

Had lunch with my Mom. This is our first time. The place is clean and not crowded. The food are reasonably priced. The staffs are attentive. We tried their Kare Kare and Grilled Scallops.Kare Kare+ Tastes sooooooooo good! My mom loved it, too. I love the fact that they fried the eggplant, banana blossoms, and string beans - something that I will try on my version. The meat is so tender. And the sauce - way better than Gerry's (which I really liked). I don't know if they added pinipig, but I'm sure I tasted it. This is by far my favorite Kare Kare.Grilled Scallops+ Hukad's Baked scallop is better because of parmesan and fresh garlic compared to Kuya J's - they used cheddar and toasted garlic. But it's still tasty. Not overcooked.

hated the experience so much i was prompted to write a review to prevent this from happening to other people. excruciating pain from food poisoning. they served me expired pork barbecue. the consistency of the pork was that of squid and the taste was sour, i've never eaten expired food before so i thought to myself maybe this was their version of pork bbq. i was dead wrong, the only positive thing i can write here is that at least i learned what expired pork tastes like.

Good ambiance. Kare kare was surprisingly delicious (my taste buds was on the mood) Wifey loved their halo halo. Coffee was served below standard temperature. They can give a better customer experience if they really want to. Food was good overall but not exceptional. Only disappointment was the fried rice. FRIED rice . FRIED.

Had a classy great experience at Kuya J yesterday. I love how staff were attentive to your demands and orders, they will initiate everything that you feel like you need from the moment we entered the restau to the point we left aba! SUPERB SERVICE! The restaurant has some neatly stacked books around (read their journals while waiting for your order) ❤❤, has a lot of Filipino feels and plays good music (hooray to pop!). Their chicken bbq is sooo flavorful you'll find it hard to share so order another one and wait.. ensaladang talong is your no-ordinary omelet. It's bursting with flavor and super sarap cause it's filled with cheese. Sizzling sisig reminds me of our special sisig somewhere in Teresa( huu college feels) ❤❤❤ All in all the experience was great! Will ask my fam to come back here again.

Kuya J's menu are mostly Filipino foods. The ambiance was nice to begin with. But the place gets really packed on peak hours that there would often be a queue outside the door for waiting customers to get a table. Food here is, for me, a bit overpriced for the quantity and the quality. I liked their Pancit Canton because it had a taste of sesame oil but I find them quite dry with too microscopic garnishes. The stuffed squid in BBQ sauce tastes better than I had expected it to be, but then again a bit pricey for P300. We tried to order their Crispy Kangkong and Crispy Catfish which were on the menu, but it wasn't available at the time. The roasted chicken also was dry that we had to ask for a sauce, they gave us their very own ketchup instead because we were expecting it will be served with at least a dipping sauce. But there's none, so we had to ask for ketchup. The garlic fried rice gives a bit aftertaste--perhaps too much margarine or butter? I dunno. As for the service, it was ok. But I don't see myself going back to Kuya J's soon.

May 27, 2017Sisig Rice - I loved how it is spicy and meaty but not soaked in oil. Enjoyed every bite. Also, the peppers and onions are there too. It's great but could've been better if they put more garlic.Sizzling Sisig with Egg- It's good but it doesn't taste like the usual filipino taste of sisig. I can say that KFC's sisig tastes more like "the sisig" than this sisig. (Wut? lol). Generous amount of serving and I liked how they mix the egg for you. But we didn't finish it because it doesn't taste like "the sisig". I hope you know what I mean lol.Kuya J Crispy Pata - Now this is the best food in the table. They are really crunchy and taste good af. Try it for yourself.Ensalada Espesyal - It's good, better than other ensaladas I have tasted. It could've been better if they put more salted egg.Staff - They are attentive, approachable, and accommodating. I don't have anything to say other than that.My overall experience? Good and satisfying. My parents enjoyed eating there and I know they loved it. A good place for lunch time hang out with friends and family.
