Good ambiance and good food. Waiters attentive and polite. Request to stay in ground floor was accommodated (because of wheelchair). Service is also decent. Overall a good dining experience especially with the family. Prices not that cheap though

The best items on the menu are Bulalo and the Scallops. We totally love the soup! Karekare Bagnet was just ok. Thank God for the tasty bagoong that came with it. Also order the grilled pork belly. Just ask for vinegar.

Partner and I have been hearing about Kuya J’s grilled scallops for a while now so we went out in search for a good branch that have them. Luckily, we secured a parking as soon as we arrived at Banawe branch. Service was so fast (like 10-15mins. The other table who ordered a lot also didn’t wait long enough) that i think everything must be pre-made already and just had been microwaved. If we put that thought aside, the food was just okay. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ The scallops were heavy on the butter garlic type (i would prefer the cheese-d type) but this one’s a good pick. ⭐️⭐️ The sizzling pork sisig was not what we expect based from the menu that read as “crispy and crumbly chopped pork belly”. What we had was more of a sizzling chunky pork floss with a texture like that of corned beef. ⭐️ Nothing special for the garlic rice. Was just a lightly sauteed long grain sinandomeng rice in oil. Then was just topped with garlic bits. I just don’t know where all the server went. There was no one to attend to our needs until we finished. Note that only ours and the next table of four were dining. We asked the bill from the guard. The cashier lady was kind but irritating (before and after she passed the bill to us, she just can’t resist looking up to the huge mirror. I just think its inappropriate, sorry).
