I agree with Lovelee Tan, for the sanitary reasons. For the food, I really like their siomai, asado and siopao. Every kowloon is perfect for family dining.

This place is definitely not for fancy people. Expect people who drink and smoke from 6 pm onwards. I eat here a lot simply because their rice meals are worth every penny. I highly recommend their asado and lechon kawali rice which comes with a sunny-side-up egg on top of the rice. Their siopao (priced at P60 for 2 pieces which is cheaper than siopaos in famous covenience stores) is high quality as well. My only comment is that the bun tastes like puto which could be weird to certain people's palette. Their sharksfin and siomai are great appetizers but a bit pricy for P55 per 3 pieces. To balance out the other reviews, I haven't seen a single fly in this place.

My liking for Kowloon House's siomai and siopao dates back to my college days 2 decades ago. Up to now, the quality and size relative to the price have not changed. Talk about good value for money. The siomai, be it pork, beef or shark's fin, is meaty and flavorful, though not as sophisticated as in more expensive tea houses. This branch also has a Chinese restaurant just one level up. The menu is very detailed with Chinese dishes, comparable to other popular Chinese restaurants in Manila, onli slightly cheaper. My usual order is the shrimp with cashew nuts, a personal favorite since my childhood days.

DO NOT ORDER TAKE-OUT AT THIS KOWLOON HOUSE BRANCH. HINDI NILA PAPANSININ ORDER NINYO. When I went here for a take-out, the waiter (Paul ata pangalan), accommodated me well enough. As I was waiting for my order, however, napansin ko na ang tagal and the waitress there did not give me my order kahit nakabalot na siya. Inuna niya pa ung ibang orders. Do, matagal na nga sila magluto, hindi pa napansin nung waitress ung takeout order ko. To the manager (Ricky ba pangalan mo?). Please ensure that you personally gave Paul (?) my tip and not to the waitress who did not accommodate me properly. I shall follow it up. Further, please teach your wait staff proper courtesy and to also be mindful of takeout orders. Thank you.

I really love the food in kowloon especially their dimsum. Me and my husband loves to eat in kowloon mindanao ave branch before... andit's our first time to try in kowloon house matalino branch. We were so tired and hungry that time and we decided to eat in kowloon knowing the food there will satisfy our cravings and ease our tiredness however the result was the opposite of our expectations. Check the picture of the food i ordered, soyed chicken with rice for 200. I was expecting a big servings but what i got was just a piece of small leg and the food was cold. Very disappointing. My husband ordered sweet and sour pork . Same verdict, cold and dry. We didn't finish the food and decided to leave because the place smells like "lumang baul" and "amoy ipis" and we didn't even feel the aircon kasi ang luma na. I still love kowloon so i will still rate it 2 stars but i will never go back in this branch. Bulok and the waitresses were lazy and nakasimangot.

I always order my Kowloon take outs at the Pasig area and their siopao was always my favorite so when I passed by their branch at Diliman I ordered my usual take out. When I opened my order at home, I was so disappointed to see that the buns they gave me were stale based on its off white color and musty odor.Lesson here is to check your take out food first before leaving the counter.

Best siomai in town! They also serve the best hangover- cure Chinese food! Great value for money as well for noodles since they have big portions!
