Despite Manila being touted as a metropolis with a thriving international culinary subculture, exceptional and reasonably priced greek food is hard to come by. I can perhaps count with one hand the number of greek restaurants I would consider putting in a collection. That list became 1 restaurant bigger after my visit to Kos.Kos offers delectable yet affordable Greek dishes for both the casual diner and hardcore website alike. From the mainstream choices such as moussaka to the more connoiseur options such as the galaktaboureko you will truly get to scratch (incidentally almost everything served at Kos is made from scratch) your greek food itch here at Kos.A trip here would never be complete without you ordering the following dishes.1.) Solomos - One phrase youll never hear from me say to a waiter in a greek restaurant would be "Can I have the salmon?" I have always associated good greek food with grilled lamb, gyros and the likes, that somewhat changed after I tasted their grilled herb marinated salmon. Its wonderful symphony of crusty and savory skin which swaddles the moist, flaky and juicy meat of the salmon. Its somethin that even meat lovers will enjoy.2.) Galaktaboureko - This is perhaps one of the best desserts Ive tasted period. Its like their version of tres leches only a sponge cake thats a little more dense, topped with a flaky crust and drenched with what I would call "arteriosclerosis juice" (try it youll know why) which is lamb butter. It has the right balance of sweetness and is extremely creamy and rich without overloading your palate. 3.) Moussaka - Their moussaka is creamy, rich and tasty. You can tell that they didnt hold back on the cheese, theyre really giving you all you can handle in one plate. It could use a little more eggplant though, but the cheese more than makes up for it.4.) Kotopoulo - The herb roasted chicken is a layered gastronomic extravaganza of savory and tasty chicken skin clinging to succulent and moist poultry meat seeping with the herbs it was marinated in. This was the main highlight of set for me. You can never go wrong with this, a true crowd pleaser. The cherry on top of the sundae is perhaps that food here is very reasonably priced for the quality of the dishes as well as the serving size.

Had lunch here yesterday with my son, mom and sister. The place was quiet for a Friday afternoon (looks like many were still on holiday); we were the only ones there aside from another lady at the other table. I usually order Chicken Souvlaki in Greek restaurants but this time I ordered Kotopoulo for a change. I didn’t realize it was HALF a chicken - generous portions of the breast, wing, thigh and leg! But what was a bigger surprise was how well the chicken was roasted. The skin was thin and crispy and rubbed nicely with herbs and coarse sea salt. And the meat was soooooo soft and juicy! So yeah, I ended up finishing the half chicken all by myself! The roasted bell pepper side added even more flavor to the chicken. Potatoes weren’t bad too. Not a bad place for Greek lunch!

keep away from the meatballs, its on the dry side.. the salmon was not well thawed before being grilled. well lighted dining area, comfortable seating at the periphery. Average customer service.

Ordered the multiple dips as an appetiser and everything was very tasty! For mains I had the lamb chops with the yogurt mint dip and it was divine, minor gripe would that that it was served on a chopping board with wax paper so you end up eating the paper sometimes. My wife got the roasted chicken, perfect portion with excellent marinade, the sauce that it came with added that tinge of spice that made the dish memorable. Definitely a great discovery on New Year’s Day

Great place and excellent food quality. The food has excellent quantity . The decor and ambience is great with a well decorated and bright interior. Clean place. The staff are friendly and courteous. The drinks arrived promptly but the food took a bit time. I ordered the lamb dish. And the mint cucumber drink. The food was delicious and flavourful. I would highly recommend it.

In both times I’ve been here, the food came more than 30 minutes late. We kept following up and they kept saying the food will come out. In the end they admitted they forgot our orders. We will never come back again.

This just might be "the only restaurant in asia that serves lamb butter" (butter made from lamb's milk) but this is not the only thing that should entice people to come here as they also bake their bread from scratch---two to three times a day---everyday. This results in warm, fragrant, plump, and moist pieces of bread. What to try:1. Meatballs - Flavorful in every bite! Sans the infamous Ikea meatballs, these will definitely do.2. Roast Chicken - If you're a fan of using lemon in dishes then you will love the tangy kick it gives the roast chicken. The skin is crispy and the meat is juicy even after it has cooled on our table.

Kös Greek Ouzeri is one of the few restaurants in the metro which serves Greek cuisines. Most Filipinos are not fond of eating Greek cuisines, that's why I like how through Kös, we got to taste authentic Greek cuisines cooked in a modern setting. The place is clean, has a simple design, wooden theme with white/blue-colored walls reminding me of the Greek colors. Here are my top picks in what we tried:1. Moussaka - potato and egg plant in layers. With bechamel sauce and minced meat. This dish reminds me of lasagna. What I like on this one is that it is creamy and has a generous serving of bechamel sauce.2. Kotopoulo - herb roasted chicken that's tasty. Crispy skin outside and moist inside. Was cooked evenly and remained tender.3. I like the Baklava and Galaktoboureko. These are composed of either filo dough or layered filo pastry that's very thin, wonderfully flaky with a satisfying crunch at every bite. Also, they use lamb butter that's imported.Their pasta, chicken souvlaki, and mezedes are worth trying as well. The salmon is best eaten while it's hot.Price range is quite affordable which is surprising! I'll surely go back here.

The Salamos I got was tasty and filling. It was cooked just right, not dry and flaky at all. I feel that it was reasonably priced as well for a salmon dish. Coffee was good and they do boast that only they have the authentic Greek coffee. As I have never been to Greece, I cannot offer an expert opinion on that. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place to try their other Greek dishes.
