Loooove their Kopi bun. It's perfect for when you crave coffee but don't want to drink one. A bun is enough for small eaters like me, and it's good for breakfast or merienda. Your taste buds will really be satisfied; I know mine did 'cause I had delivery for two boxes of kopi buns! You might also want to pair Kopi bun with Milo Dinosaur.

I tried their hot chocolate for P85. It's fine and it's really hot. The place is okay but I hope they can redesign their interiors to make it look classier. I love the details in the walls but maybe they can replace their seats with cozier ones.

The original Kopi Roti! I was so sad that they closed their branch in greenbelt but nonetheless I made sure to drop by whenever I see an open branch. Must try! Kaya toast and Soft Boiled Eggs with Coffee or hot chocolate. Never fails to make me feel calm and relaxed plus it's relatively cheap so plus points there :)

Their place is quiet - which is a good thing for a cafe. Their menu is quite confusing and limited compared to other cafés around the block. But I must say, I've only been here once, but their coffee (kopi) jelly is one of the best I've ever had. It's even better than SB, in my opinion ;) Plus, their kopi buns are very unique. I've also tried the Kaya Cheese Toast and it's really tasty. Like I said, very unique ;)

I never really was hot for their breakfast fare, whether here or in Singapore. I got their Set B of Kaya Toasts which oddly only had a filling in the middle of the sandwich. Nothing great as far as taste is concerned. The soft-boiled eggs were just my type though, perfectly done. But the coffee sucks. Many 3-in-1 coffees taste better. On the other hand, I always enjoy their Kopi Bun and siomai.

This was my breakfast today after a short meeting at the upcoming Hungry Samurai. Price points here are way affordable. We were two, and we only spent Php 350. I am still a fan of their buttery and fluffy Kopi Bun. The French Toast however, was too soft and not as tasty without more kaya spread. The two soft boiled eggs with soy sauce was an amazing compliment to the breads. For drink, I had the light and refreshing Barley. My companion got the chocolatey Milo Dinosaur. These beverages were just around a hundred each, not bad at all.

The crunch the sweetness of the spread and the right saltiness of the egg damn perfect combo in a rainy afternoon. I Usually have this for breakfast :)

Kopi Roti opened its first branch in the Philippines in 2005 but was founded in Singapore in 1955. It is primarily known for its kaya toasts paired with soft-boiled egg (P110). Kaya toasts are made with kaya jam spread on toasts crisped on a charcoal grill. The jam is a mixture of coconut, sugar and pandan flavor. Butter is also dabbed on the toasts before serving. This is best dipped on a mixture of soft-boiled egg, soy sauce and pepper which constitutes a typical Singaporean breakfast. We had this together with their Kopi bun (P50), Chocolate bun (P50) and a Milo Dinosaur (P105). These were our comfort food when Kopi Roti started making waves in the country. I just love sinking my teeth into the crusty, freshly baked coffee or chocolate tasting bun and be greeted by warm oozing butter in the hollow center...yumm.It's like seeing an old friend I've missed for a while and there is a lot of catching up to do.

After pigging out at the nearby Korean Chicken, I dared my tummy to take in another round of sustenance (really!). This time, dessert/bread and cold coffee/chocolate.As I was entering the empty cafe, I was flooded with good memories. You see, I used to write for this early morning show (many moons ago) that we used to come over after. And we always ordered the same things: coffee with coffee buns or Kaya Toasts with Soft-Boiled Egg.Took me a little longer to order that day. I stood there in front of the counter trying to make up my mind. I just wolfed down a heavy lunch so something sweet would seal the day's venture into pig-out city.I ordered for coffee bun and cold mocha. I knew what my order would taste. I wasn't really the bread nor the cold beverage I was after then but to relive the memories of many years ago. Now, the store looked old, smelled old. It's a bit dark, gloomy, cheerless so very different when we used to take our breakfast after the program. How I wish that the owners would re-market the brand and compete with the aggressive ones. Kase may laban naman. There are silent loyalists out there. Like me.
