One can never go wrong with spicy tuna sashimi and Asahi beer amidst the heat of Sunday afternoon. Will be back and try Kokoro's other dishes as well.

I tried their Hakata Karaka and i hated it :-( the whole thing tasted like medicine, and it was not even spicy 😒 Plus the servers were slow to attend to the needs of the customers. Wont go back to this place again 👎🏼(Their tempura, on the other hand, tasted okay)

To be safe, I ordered the Tonkatsu Bento Set. The taste of the food is a solid 3 for me. I was bit disappointed though that the tonkatsu was very small. It didnt even fill its space. The rice and noodles tasted okay, too.

Went to Kokoro Ramenya to satisfy my tonkatsu cravings. I got the tonkatsu bento set and the tofu steak. For 275 you get "miso soup", "yakisoba", tonkatsu, rice, and coffee jelly. In short, you get quite a bit for your money but the bento was disappointing. Tonkatsu was dry. The "miso soup" tasted more like ginger than miso and it sure has hell didn't look like miso soup. The "yakisoba" was very bland despite the ingredients. The tofu steak was the hands down winner and the coffee jelly wasn't so bad.I know the restaurant is all about the ramen but they shouldn't have put tonkatsu or any other item on the menu if they couldn't do them well. The service crew were not attentive. There were only three occupied tables in the place and I still had to wave to get their attention. Also, the table we got wasn't as clean as it should have been. As I wrap this review up, I'm thinking I should have gone to Tokyo Tokyo instead. :|

I tried the California maki which came in 8 pieces per order. It was good and I appreciate the fact that it was generously filled with kani strips, mango slices and topped with a dot of Japanese mayo with an order of this four large pieces Ebi Tempura deep-fried 'til perfectly crisp and crunchy. Both are so yummy while the platter meal is a so so and the beef ramen is just okay.

Perfect for this rainy and very cold weather, ey?One of the most accessible ramen place near our house. Thank God for that! Always coming back to have their Tantanmen Ramen and Gyoza combo. Enough flavor and spice, not overpriced as well. 👌

I was craving for spicy salmon and was excited that they had it on the menu so we decided to dine here. Ordered ramen (so-so) and the spicy salmon sashimi. We were almost done with the ramen when our salmon came. No wonder it took them a long time to serve, the salmon was cut into big chunks which was supposed to be a good thing for me, but after taking a few bites, it was still frozen in the middle. Icy spicy salmon sashimi, obviously not fresh and took a long time to thaw and did not completely thaw before being served. This will be my 2nd and last time here.

Good free tofu appetizer, and that's it. Lots of room for improvement for the ramen though 😐 the noodles was too soft. Even the spicyness haven't met my expectations.

We ordered:- California Maki - this was very good and one of ny faves out of all the things we ordered.- Ebi Tempura - you can never go wrong with tempura~- Tonkatsu Bento Set - didn't try this but my uncle and cousin seemed to like theirs.- Chicken Teriyaki Bento Set - I just tried the chicken and it was good. I liked that it was cut into cubes and the flavor itself was awesome. Just wish there were more chicken included in the set.- Miso Ramen - this was my order and it was so disappointing ☹️ Flavor was lacking, broth was nothing special and the noodles were just okay. I was expecting more from their ramen since it is supposed to be their specialty right? I mean, it's in their name. They should really should work on improving the taste. The place itself was nice and clean. Servers were accommodating with our requests for water, high chair, extra bowl, etc. but could've smiled more. They were all just pokerfaced even when they're greeting customers.
