We ordered a mix of Chinese and Filipino cuisines, and they were all great. The place wasn't really crowded, but the service was a bit slow. It could be somewhere I'll go to in the future.

Katips was one of our go to places for Sisig decades ago. We found ourselves pulling up to double park here on a rainy Saturday night. We were famished from all the walking and work shopping so I think we over ordered. On the table 🔹Cheese Sticks - crisp rolls with heavenly melted cheese and a vegetable which turned out to be green bell peppers.. We couldn't stop munching on these. The brown dipping sauce was good but the cheese sticks were ok as is.🔹Frozen Margarita - I had to quickly drink this as it was melting and making a mess. It didn't taste good so I just let it melt away. I guess I prefer sweeter margaritas.🔹Bulalo ni Katips - aka Nilaga. We loved the broth and the uber tender meat. I kept on scooping out the crunchy vegetables. We couldn't resist requesting for patis, calamansi and sili though.🔹Pork Sisig - it was as delicious and as crunchy as I remembered. It was flavored well but I couldn't help but add even more seasoning. I ate this with a lot of rice!🔹Garlic Tahong - the star of the night. The main reason we are coming back. The cheese, garlic and the liquid gold tasted heavenly. We haven't had tahong in a long time and we are bent on getting more goodness soon.Parking is a bit of a challenge but they assisted us. They even held umbrellas over our heads as we made our way to the stairs. We were double parked but we didn't have to move our car during our meal.I'm sure hubby and I will be back for the Garlic Tahong and Pork Sisig as long as we could find a parking slot.

It's nice to see the newly renovated place. It was once dark and gloomy. Now, they segregated the smoking and non-smoking areas. Food remains the same, and the bar attracts older people.

At 11am they had just probably turned on the air conditioning so we had to sit right in front of the ac unit. The rice was very dry, unfortunately. I was expecting it to be nice and soft and newly cooked since they had just opened. The PORK SISIG is still as good as it was back in the day so not all is lost...Note to self: Sisig still good, probably best to have it as "pulutan" over beer like we did in the old days at this place 😊

From Mindanao Avenue, trying to avoid EDSA going back to Taguig, we tried to find a good place to eat before we head home and this place just suited our need for parking space and full meals to eat. We ordered right away but since there were only 2 of us, we ordered the fried tanigue and their pakbet. Both dishes are yummy. I wasn’t supposed to eat rice thAt night but it will simple be a betrayal to the yummyneSs of the food if not paired with rice. And we finish them all! Not a single grain of rice left.
