Second time here at Kanzhu, its not bad.Beef brisket was so-so, noodles were thicker than what I prefer and quite clumped together. Soup was nice and light but could use more seasoning and something acidic. Was not too pleased with the pork siomai, monotonous jelly-like bite. For P95 I've had a lot that are better for around the same price range. Server recommended me to try the steamed beef balls to go with the noodle soup, wasn't disappointed :). Soft but firm meatball with sweet herby notes. Enjoyed it with the noodles and made up for the 4 cubes of brisket that went with the large bowl 😅

The noodle quality is spot on, maintains its firmness despite the soup temperature. They also offer good merienda meals priced at 88php only!

Kanzhu is where I usually bring my parents whenever they want a “lighter” meal. While I don’t think noodles have fewer calories than rice, it just seems to always successfully fool Filipino-Chinese oldies into believing that they’re eating less. Kanzhu noodles are average but price point is quite good which is why we go back. I usually get their Plain Noodles as I think their dry noodle selections are better than the noodle soup dishes. They also offer rice and short orders in case you’re dining with someone looking for a “heavier” meal.

A1 Braised Beef Dry Noodles, (truly) Crispy Lemon Chicken, Fried Rice, Seaweed with Century Egg and you’re good to go! Ambience could use more work but other than that, Kanzhu does a great job with these dishes. They also sell sesame-coated peanuts which are great for snacking at home.

We chanced upon Kanzhu one evening when we were in the middle of some greedy craving for hot noodles. While waiting for our orders, we were informed by the wall displays that their noodle recipe originates from China, and has been passed on as a tradition, so it somehow built up our expectations for the best noodles. Having been to China, where you would get the real deal in the noodle world, I was expecting something of that level. The noodles at Kanzhu were of good quality and flavourful, enough to satisfy our noodle craving. But I still find it lacking -- noting that I am just comparing it to one of the noodle street stalls in Guangzhou. Maybe I should come back again and try other noodles for second opinion.

I'm not such a big fan of their beef soup base but their chicken soup bases are heavenly. For dimsum, I recommend the curry beef dimsum (which isn't spicy but flavors burst in your mouth when you bite it) and pork and chives dimsum (the chives remove the malansa flavor of the pork and freshens it up). For dessert, the chilled green tea taho is a definite must try!

My mistake here was not ordering the much-lauded hand-pulled noodles (I find noodles too heavy for lunch). My order of salt-and-pepper pork spare ribs was too heavily-seasoned and oily that I found myself eating more rice to tone down the flavor. For dessert, we had the new strawberry jelly (a bit too sweet for me) and taho with tapioca pearls (just the right sweetness with and interesting blend of textures).

I love the simplicity of this restaurant , what you see is what you get :) if you like hand pulled noodles I think this is the right place for you , it's affordable and the food is true to taste and flavor , their dimsum selection is also superb ! my favorite is the vegetable stir fried noodles and fried curry dumplings , they're heaven :)

"Everything was legit!"A strong remark from my dad. I was searching for a Chinese restaurant and this was the closest in the area that we haven't even tried yet. Plus the curiosity abt "hand-pulled noodles" was a factor.Well we ordered....a bit of everything? 😄😄Just check the photos. But, yah, we (they, since this is my bonus treat for fam) really enjoyed every thing here including our stay since it's very quiet and neat.👍

It was still raining heavily when we went to Kanzhu only to get really disappointed by their flavorless, hand-pulled noodles that tastes like water. We've paid good money for something that tastes like water. I ordered Mixed Seafood Noodle Soup while my boyfriend ordered A1 Braised Beef Dried Noodles. I got disappointed on my order because I was expecting  it would have a strong taste, but no, it's like water, but expensive. The taste is the same with what my boyfriend ordered. Really disappointing.
