We've tried this place because we are curious about the positive reviews we've seen here in website. We ordered their group meal for 5-6 persons, it includes:Pork and chive dumplingsGinger chicken dumplingsMixed seafood fried noodlesChinese pepper gravy chickenSalt & pepper squidChinese sausage fried riceMixed garlic vegetablesCoffee jelly and green tea taho for dessertHouse blend iced teaThen we added hakaw• Their servings are small as you can see the chicken is like 1/4 of the whole chicken. The hand pulled noodles is good but the veggies are largely cut. Same as the fried rice, so much big cut veggies. They should cut their veggies a little smaller for people to chew better. The dumplings are not that impressive compared to other chinese restos. We loved the desserts, though the coffee jelly is too sweet. The house blend tea tastes like chowking's nai cha without the milk. Hahaha. • Their service though is hospitable and very accomodating, considering that we are dinning outside the resto. We noticed that we are the only customers on a sunday night. All in all, for me, it is not worth the price though their menu is not pricey. If I would dine here again, I would only order their specialty, the hand pulled noodles.

What I’ve tried:1. Mixed Vegetable Fried Noodle (P160) - 5/5 Our favorite main dish. Serving is always huuge. Definitely good for two. Very delicious2. Plain Dry Noodle (P90) - 3/5Nothing special, bordering on bland. Wish this could be more flavorful3. Century Egg (P85) - 5/5Love their century egg. For the amount you get, this is a winner4. Black Fungus with Jellyfish Salad (P85) - 4/5Tasted good. But I prefer the plain jellyfish salad. I could do without the black fungusKanzhu has always been our favorite in Terraces. Its good to see that there are more people coming to this restau

We made a review about this resto back in 2015. Back then it was great. We do go back there every once in a while. It became one of our go-to places but tonight was so disappointing. We came in and no one was there, my wife noticed that the aircon was set at 28 degrees celcuis. Who turns on an aircon and puts it at 28 degrees when outside is 26 degrees? We asked them kindly to please have the aircon set to a colder setting and it seems like they did to 20 degrees, only for them to set it back to 28 when we were not looking. Now, it is understandable if they turn it off if no one is around, but at least give your customers the courtesy to turn it on when they are there, it is part of what they paid for. And considering that we're one of their regulars.... It was just disappointing.Who would want to eat soup in this heat and inside the resto that is hot as well?Whatever flair they used to have it is slowly fading. The last time we went there they were even forgetting orders and condiments, even spoons for goodness sake. We're never going back there again.

The place is nice. We went here April 2018. The only reason Im rating this 4 and not perfect 5, ang liit kasi nung serving, lalo na yung sharksfin. Baby shark sya. Lol.

It was a rainy tuesday afternoon when my coach and I tried this place after workout. Despite the small size of the restaurant, it never gets filled. The place is really clean and the ambiance is cozy. The kitchen is viewable from the outside so you can watch your food being prepared. Pretty awesome!I won't be able to tell the difference between a hand-pulled noodle from a machine one, but this place is a good place to have noodles. Serving portions are enough to make one full and are actually good for sharing. The noodles served in large bowls are a meal by themselves. We tried the Braised Beef Noodle and Beef Tendon Noodle Soup. Beef chunks melt-in-your-mouth and the noodles itself are chewy and soft. It would be nice to add a small scoop of chili sauce to the dish. The chili sauce on the table is not too spicy. The broth had a great flavor to it, and the beef was also very tasty, making this a very hearty noodle soup that was perfect to eat on a rainy afternoon.  They also have lamb dumplings (120php for 7pcs). Dumpling itself may not exactly be filled up with meat, but it does not lack in flavor. Dipping it into the sauce they provide, helps accentuate the flavor, however it can stand alone on its own. Truly unique and authentic for a very reasonable price.Staffs are very polite and attentive. I even requested my noodle be be reheated since it is already cold after 25minutes. Left this place very happy and will come back.

Talk about expectations vs reality reversed. You always expect the actual serving size to be smaller than the menu's. Kanzhu does it differently. With the price they sell their noodles for, you won't think it's for two, but it is. Their dry noodles taste better than their soups. You MUST order their Sharks Fin dumplings. Vegetable dumplings tasted nice, too.

Authentic Chinese hand-pulled noodles is what you'll find at Kanzhu. Their specialty is the A1! Braised Beef Noodles. You can order it dry or as noodle soup. I tried the the dry version. The moment it's served on the table it oozes of an enticing aroma. The noodles are firm, thick and very heavy on the tummy. The meat is flavor-filled with the taste of spices well defined. Most definitive of which is the taste of anise which for me is distinct to many Chinese dishes. I paired off my dry noodles with a glass of Green Apple Fruit Tea. My bill totaled P280 which I think is very good value for money considering it's quite a heavy meal. Special mention to Joel, their wonderboy server at the Kanzhu branch in Fairview Terraces. He greeted me at the entrance while I was checking out the menu. He guided me well on what to order. Constantly checked if I was enjoying my meal even while serving other customers. Handed me my bill and saw me off when I left. Much appreciated.

My aunt's unexpected visit to Fairview provided an opportune time to unwind. By unwind I meant watch a movie and eat out. So off to Fairview Terraces we went for the 6:10pm show of Wang Fam. Yes, no better options other than the lame Twilight spoof starring Pokwang and Benjie Paras. Anyway, my mom, aunt, and I were hungry after the movie, so I thought I'd try Kanzhu. We were seated immediately by the entrance, but the choice tables on the elevated floor were full, so the waiter promised to move us as soon as they become available. This never happened, of course. I was too tired to make a fuss, so I didn't bother reminding him of his promise.I ordered the A1! Braised Beef dry noodles, yangchow fried rice, pork siomai, shrimp hakaw, sweet and sour pork, and the 5-in-1 appetizer sampler. The waiter insisted we try the house blend iced tea in a carafe. The noodles were seriously tasty and the serving size was good enough for 2. I love the beef flavor with a hint of anise. Noodles are deliciously chewy. The sweet and sour pork was too sweet. It could use a little more sour in my opinion. The yangchow fried rice lacked the usual yellow color, but had a lot of ingredients. Literally, kanin pa lang ulam na. I also liked this. The appetizer sampler was nothing special. The siomai was too salty and the hakaw bland. The iced tea was brewed, but I found it too saccharine.Service was straightforward, but lacked warmth and personalization. And seriously, don't scrimp on the napkin. Also, the chairs I found very uncomfortable. My butt was hurting when it's time to get the check (no pun intended). I'd go back for those hand-pulled noodles and maybe try the other bestsellers.

Amazing place for anyone who wants Chinese food or comfort food. I liked the ambiance, and the view of the Central Garden from the window is great. If you sit by the kitchen you can also watch them make the noodles! The decor is very nice, with wooden furniture, a raised area and Chinese lanterns. The place must look great at night. :)I had the mixed seafood noodle soup, while my dad and sister had the braised beef noodle soup. My mom had the braised beef dry noodles. We also had shrimp hakaw and pork siomai. We wanted sharksfin instead of siomai but there was no more stock, and apparently there wasn't any classic milk tea available either. For dessert, we had the almond taho. There wasn't any buchi available, which is sad because my sister and I love buchi! I guess their stocks got depleted yesterday, since a lot of people were at the mall.I loved my lunch a lot! Super nakakabusog! While they make their soup a tad bland (at least for me and my dad), you can add toyo and/or chili sauce to liven things up. My dad and sister and I like that their chili sauce is the type that heats up the body and not just the mouth. This was also my first time to try hakaw--now I see why people make such a fuss over it! I'm excited to look for other restaurants offering hakaw now. Another reason to love seafood!
