Value for money Persian food. Large servings at low cost. What I usually order is the kebab (1 beef chelo and 1 chicken kebab) platter, ox brain and tomato, cucumber and onion salad. The three items cost less than 500 pesos and it's good enough for 2.

I decided to give this restaurant a try because of a friend's recommendation. As I was not much into food with strong flavors such as those of Arabian-Mediterranean origin, my expectations were really high. Actually, I've passed by this restaurant a couple of times and I've been intrigued of the food and service; the place looked interesting from a distance. And so I went.Positive comments:1. The butter rice was really good. It had a chewy consistency, almost perfectly cooked, and the blend of butter and salt was adequate for the flavor.2. The prices were relatively reasonable and competitive. Similar dishes would cost much higher in other restaurants of comparable caliber.Constructive comments:1. There was a need for more staff. For a spacious restaurant on a Sunday evening in December, there were only two staff members attending to all customers. Perhaps due to fatigue and overwork, the waiter was impatient and rushing in answering my inquiries about their dishes. He didn't even greet me when I came in.2. I wanted my beef and chicken to be well-done. As a health professional, I always had this paranoia of getting infected with Taenia saginata (beef tapeworm) that's why I wanted my meat to be well cooked at all times. I specifically asked the same waiter to instruct the cook to make my beef and chicken chelo's well-done. However, on cross section, the beef chelo's middle portion was rare to medium-rare. I didn't eat it. There went my 100 pesos.3. The beef and chicken could have tasted much better had there been more salt in them. These meats tasted flavorful, actually; they just needed more salt. Despite the addition of the traditional white and hot sauces, the taste still needed improvement.4. The restaurant was comparable to an open-air Filipino grill and bar, and not of a usual closed, air-conditioned Persian establishment. Customers could freely smoke so non-smokers like me just had to bear the ill effects and irritating smell of second-hand smoke.

Kabab Korner used to be our crew's MacLarens or Central Perk. Their buttered rice used to be solid -- a perfect balance of moist and dry, and with the right amount of butter. Their Red Horse never failed to satisfy our beer needs. The shawarma was full of flavor, and their sauce complemented the food well. However, during our previous visit, a lot has changed. Their beer was not a good batch. Their buttered rice was dry, and some even seemed uncooked. The shawarma, though maintaining its tenderness, had a different taste compared to before. The ambience did not change and is a chill non-airconditioned area. The choice of TV channel and its volume did not go with the ambience, though. Sad to say, Kabab Korner downgraded a little. We used to love that place, but it seems that the quality of the food was not well-maintained.

Came from a disappointing job interview nearby. Tried this place around late afternoon. Somehow I felt better after dining here since the the food is very worth the 180 pesos you'll be paying for a chelo meal. The place has a chill ambiance, maybe that lightened up my mood. Bottom line... Very satisfied from an unplanned visit. Kudos, KK!

We found ourselves looking for a place to eat (again) late one evening. I was set to eat at a steak place but they were already closed so we ended up at Kabab Korner. The first surprise for me was the price. I was definitely expecting something more pricey. The place was well lit too and tables were set with enough distance from each other. It's not air conditioned but ventilation was alright. We ordered 3 varieties of shawarma (chicken, pork and beef), their pumpkin soup, vegetable samosas and lemonade. The shawarmas were huge and the meat used were fresh. We've tried shawarma in other places but this one so far is the 'neatest' and the 'tastiest'. I particularly enjoyed adding in sour cream on my one as I pleased (hehe). The vegetable samosas were okay too (or maybe because I'm not really big on samosas). I'd give a two thumbs up to their pumpkin soup too as it was really creamy, yummy and was served with just the right temperature so you can actually eat it straight away without missing the warm soup factor. This is now our new go to place. :)

I was craving for some Middle Eastern food. My dad suggested this place to me so I took him along. In his experience, the quality is not consistent. About 5 mins waiting, his order came, mine came after a few more minutes. The food tasted okay, nothing worthy to note though. This might be my first and last visit to this place.

Was craving for some kebab after gym. Thought i'd try this place for a change. Im sorry to say that i was disappointed. The meat tasted like ordinary sausage. Sad to say i won't be coming back.Im sure some would like the way the meat was cooked but for me it was a bit off.

Best tasting chelo kabab. Di man kasing sarap ng kabab sa west, still good job pa din kasi dami ng rice. Hahaha at ang sarap tumambay. 👌👌 will definitely go back here!!
