As I was searching for new restaurants to try near our place, I saw this restaurant had quite a high rating at website and suggested that we try it out here. Upon entering, we were welcomed with a big counter filled with different kinds of bread. They only had about 3 tables of 4, which was enough to fill the store. They had ample parking space too. 🍲 Arroz Ala Tunying - Out of all the dishes we tried, this was the star of the show. Malagkit rice was used so the texture was really thick and sticky. The flavor of the broth was also spot on 👍🏻 (🌟🌟Recommended🌟🌟)🍛 Linamnam Meals - Wouldn't recommend, totally not worth it 👎🏻 The price is way too high for the quality and taste of the meal. The tapa was too hard and burnt, so I complained. They gave me another serving which was less burnt and hard, but was still really chewy. The pork liempo was also a bit tough and the skin wasn't crispy. 🙅🏻The servers were really attentive though since its just a small shop. The restaurant was also well-lit and had a comfortable temperature, but its a little bit too quiet since they didn't have any music playing. The food is also quite pricey. Wouldn't go back for anything other than their Arroz Ala Tunying.

umagang kay sarap! as their menu greets, it is indeed after having breakfast here. ❤️It’s the classic Filipino breakfast meals that was given a modern twist. We’ve ordered Champorado with pinipig and served with tuyo flakes, tastes like real cocoa not too sweet and consistency is just right. Creamy baked bangus with salted egg and esalada served with adobo fried rice is perfect, loving the contrast of salty and creamy on this dish. Plating is really nice, very homey feels. It’s kinda pricey but it’s just right for the amount of serving. We also got the chance to meet the owner, Anthony Taberna.

A bit pricey but the food was good. I ate arroz caldo and tokwa’t baboy when we ate here. Medyo matagal lang nai-serve yung tokwa’t baboy ko, but it’s worth the wait! :)

We tried Ka Tunying's Anak ng Bakang Dalaga- Caldereta (Php395.00), Ukoy (Php225.00), KTC Fried Chicken (Php185.00) and Tunying's Blend (Php65.00). I also had Egg Pie but at their now closed Timog Branch.  Upon Checking their new prices, I've noticed that they have adjusted and now reasonably priced. The food was ok but their coffee was good.  I like their ambience at the 2nd floor. The servers were attentive and courteous.

The place is nice. Ambience is okay. Food is okay also. I love their champorado paired with tuyo. Their tinapa fish is also great. The breads are just alright.

My sisters and I love the bangus belly sinigang. The tartness was just right! I so love their champorado with tinapa flakes toppings — perfect for that rainy day. Their coffee is so good too. Place is cozy and the staff are so courteous. Will definitely come back to taste other dishes.

Great for all day breakfast and snacks, Ka Tunying here on Visayas Ave fits in nicely with the other restaurants of the hood serving classic Filipino specialties. We like their pansit and recado longganisa meal, and I enjoyed their champorado. There's plenty of bread for take-out, and my favorite, their Calabasa ensaymada, is luckily still around. Lovers of barako coffee can also order it here. The ensaymada's not on their dessert menu and it should be, paired with the barako or their tsokolate. Egg tarts and other cakes are in their fridge display.

I have been to this place several times but I always forget to leave a review. The breads are good, the food was unremarkable. Everything tasted like the lutong bahay of an inexperienced cook. Had the arroz, the breakfast meals, and everything just didn’t leave a loving taste in my buds. Maybe the food was expensive yet does not deliver.!Yet, the breads especially the squash ensaymada are good. Lastly, try the drink concoctions too- they have good coffee and good local ice tea flavors.

I don’t have high expectations on lonsgsilogs because most of it taste the same. This one is surprisingly good. This Recado longganisa (Php 265) from Cabanatuan is not too salty and not oily. The skin has a crisp to it and the inside isn’t dry. It’s served with adobo rice and eggs and the pairing works well. Good job Ka Tunying's Cafe. Something that I will definitely eat again.
