We got carried away by the website rating and we regretted it. Maybe our expectations got too high, I don't know. The good:- ambience is nice, the place looks really good- easy to find- servings are bigThe bad:- the place is really small so if you go there on peak hours, you might not have a spot- food was served cold, we ordered mozzhamrella sticks hoping it will be served hot but it wasn't- pasta sticks too much on my teeth that I got tired eating it

What could have been a great experience from the nice ambience and delicious 'puting adobo' was ultimately dragged down by poor furnishing and tepid coffee.Place looked great and inviting, clean, and bright. Decors were nice, the place is small and felt a bit cramped. Chairs and tables were terribly uncomfortable—If you're looking for a 'café' to chill, chat, or do some work at, I would definitely not recommend this place (but if you're looking for a place where you're forced to meet and chat, or break-up with someone, then this would be a good place to do those things. Hahaha). The chairs had very straight backrests and small seats. You'll tend to wiggle around and change positions every now and then—but then you can't do much, much less cross your legs or move them around because of the very small space you have underneath the table. The legs of the table occupied too big of a space to give you any leg space. There were a couple of mosquitoes and flying insects pestering me, too.The 'grandma's white adobo' was spectacular. It's one of the best adobo's I've had here in Manila! Meat was tender, it wasn't super salty, just slightly sweet, and had the right amount of sour in it. The beef tapa wasn't too good, though. It was a bit too dry and crumbly (perhaps over tenderized). Saba con hielo was nice in that it wasn't too sweet yet flavorful, but the saba pieces were a little too few and a little too hard. The coffee tasted fresh, had good flavor, but came in...tepid. Hot coffee that isn't hot just isn't too good. The cashier lady was warm and accommodating, and serving time was decent. Coffee was served a little too slow, though. Perhaps that's why it was tepid?

Food - 5/5Ambience - 4/5Service - 5/5A good place to work/study. Food and drinks are cheap. Good number of parking slots. Wifi available. The second floor is reserved for meetings, birthday celebrations and special events. It gets really noisy but it's not a problem that earphones/headphones couldn't fix.FeelsGoodMan

Typical to a small cafe/restaurant, K&L Cafe by Blushing Cupcakes looks pretty inviting. My general feeling was that of a laid-back and chic Filipino restaurant in Quezon City. What can this small diner bring on the table?I decided to try two of their specialties.1. Lola Nena’s Adobong Puti(Price as of writing: Php 229.00)Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️The Filipino favorite adobo in white sauce served with tomatoes, salted egg and a cup of red and white garlic rice. 2. Sinigang na Bagnet with Strawberry(Price as of writing: Php 369.00)Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Familiar Filipino sinigang fix made extraordinary with crispy bagnet and strawberry.Beverage: Famous Strawberry Calamansi(Price as of writing: Php 119.00)Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️A refreshing twist to familiar calamansi drink.IG: @christianrandoyRead full review at https://christianrandoy.wordpress.com/

K&L Cafe tries to bring Baguio here in Quezon City. They offer classic Filipino food with northern twists. We ordered the following: Buffalo Tenders with Blue Cheese Dip, Chicken and Mushroom, Parmesan Wings, Two-Timer Fish and Chips, and Sinigang Bagnet with Strawberries.I think everyone on our team was pretty satisfied with what we individually ordered, though, I think I need to give a special shot out to their Sinigang Bagnet with Strawberries. It was my colleague's all-time favorite dish! Was the food good? Yes! Was it filling? Yes! Was it worth it? Err, it depends. For the price you are paying, I wouldn't be honest if I say you are not better off somewhere else.

Our quest for good weekend restaurants got us here. A homey cafe that reminds us of Baguio with all the jams and goodies on sale!Sagada Coffer and Hot Baguio Chocolate Tablea were great. The latter especially is arguably the best hot chocolate we've had.Sessions Salad with Strawberry Wine dressing is yummy. Such a refreshing salad with greens, crisp croutons, candied walnuts, orange pips .... and tasty and zesty Strawberry wine dressing. Garlic Beef Tapa strips with eggs done your way and rice is ok. The beef strips were too dry though. We took out Mommy's Pasta, a yummy al dente pasta with olives, capers, tomatoes, basil and feta cheese

Dropped by here again at K&L after a filling lunch nearby, and to get a cup of coffee while working remotely. I also went back to get a bag of Figures of Beans Sagada Dark Roast ground coffee for my #HomeBrewing weekends with the family! I got my usual Café Latte and it’s just as good as the first time I tried it! They’re using Sagada Dark Roast ground coffee beans on their coffee which has a stronger aroma and taste (than Benguet Arabica) to complement the milky and foamy Latte coffee variant. I also tried the Red Velvet Surprise cupcake and I was surprised with its moist texture and creamy red velvet flavor. Perfect to pair with your coffee! Since K&L is bringing Baguio closer to Manila, you can buy a lot of Baguio-crafted products here such as Strawberry jam, Ube jam, brooms, coffee beans (by Figures of Beans – I highly recommend Benguet Arabica or Sagada Dark Roast), homemade organic tablea, some famous pasalubongs such as lengua de gato, alfajor, and a lot more! Visit K&L today and experience Baguio city in Manila!

I can make a long list of why I love K&L but I'd just rather describe a few but significant things I think best describes this city gem.First, FOOD. As an Ilokana, it warms my heart that there's a place in metro manila where I know I can eat all the Ilocano dishes that I want (and more!) when the sudden cravings creep in. They serve longganisa (not just Vigan), Bagnet and also my favorite Northern coffee blends (Sagada, Benguet etc.) in an authentic way that easily transports me up there in my home town.Their pastries are also delicious! You should try their red velvet cupcake and carrot cupcake. As a matter of fact, I got to know K&L thru their small shop in SM north edsa back in college (5 yrs ago) when it was called Blushing Cupcakes, and just loved all their pastries. They're a little bit pricer now of course but that shouldn't stop you from taking a bite out of their pastry heaven.Second, AMBIANCE. I always come back here because it's not crammed with people. It's nicely tucked in the White Plains neighborhood & maintains its laid back aura anytime of the day. Plus, they start operating at 7am so that makes this place a good breaky location too! 🍳Third, FREE WIFI and PARKING. Need I say more?

K & L Cafe captivated not just my tummy, but also my heart! The moment I stepped inside it for the first time, I already felt the warmth of a home. K & L gave me a comfy and cozy vibe, a vibe that’d make anyone stay longer than they planned! Aside from the home/Baguio feels, they also gave satisfaction to my tastebuds. It’s beyond satisfation, actually! I was able to try few of their dishes and all of them were really delicious!Crispy Adobo Flakes Their Adobo Flakes are from Adobong Puti. It’s savory, and crispy enough (there’s no burnt taste). It’s served with salted egg plus tomatoes. Highly recommended!Lola Nena’s Adobong Puti It was my first time eating Adobong Puti and it didn’t disappoint. I love this version of adobo! It also comes with salted egg and tomatoes!Sinigang na Bagnet with Strawberries It was my first time to try sinigang with strawberries too! I loved how the strawberries complements the dish! It gives an extra flavor without overpowering the original sour taste of sinigang. And i love how generous the serving is! The bagnet pieces were crispy and easy to chew. Longganisa Locale Pasta I only had a bite of this pasta. But a bite was enough to realize how delicious this pasta is! The noodles forme, were cooked just right! Very yummy!Peppermint Vanilla Latte & Hot Baguio Choco Tablea I felt like I was in Baguio when I had these two drinks! Very comforting! All the dishes listed above are my favorites! I really didn’t wanna leave this place but I had to. I’m coming back soon and I wanna let my family and friends experience their food too!
