JT's Manukan is a popular inasalan even before Mang Inasal was even born. It is named after the owner, a former actor and director, Joel Torre. They want to bring the Visayan concept in Manila, so they source out some of their ingredients like vinegar and some of their ingredients. In the pursuit of bringing the Visayan favorite in the metro, they've succeeded already. Basically, the chicken is marinated in Tuba vinegar and some aromatics that achieved the nice, fragrant aroma. I've seen their giant stainless bowl (batya) filled with the marinated chicken that they put on sticks.I have been a frequent flyer to Bacolod and an eater of Inasal in the streets. The main difference of the Inasal of Bacolod and from JT's is the chicken and flavor. The Bisaya loves using the native chicken over the white chicken that we can buy everywhere. The bisaya chicken is tastier and a bit tougher. While in flavor, JT's version is more tastier over the Visayan version, in a good way. JT's has achieved the epitome of inasal in Manila. It is the closest and the tastiest of all its competitors. As simple as it maybe in Bacolod, it is a prized delicacy in Manila. Who will reign supreme? :)

Went here for dinner last night. The place will sure catch you attention because of the hanging lamps and al fresco dining. I'm quite surprised that there aren't much diners that time. I ordered pakpak and garlic rice. Garlic rice was to die for! It has chicken oil and lots of crispy garlic, just the way I want it. However, I was not totally happy with the chicken. It wasnt properly grilled and it still has blood on the inside. I wish they grilled it beforehand, then grill it again once the customer orders.

Love their grilled chicken, dynamite, and tuna lumpia. Although sometimes the chicken is not cooked properly there is still some blood. You have to ask it to properly cook again. Too many noisy drunkards inside. It is not for people who seeks good ambiance and to relax while having their meals. It's kinda "restaurant/bar" what do you expect. Also have noisy crew, talking and gossiping while doing their job but they're generous and kind.

I love plain, simple, flavorful food the most. I love coming here when I feel like just filling my tummy and satisfying my tastebuds. Aside from their chicken, I love their sate babi!!!

I was craving for something grilled and something good. JT's Manukan really delivered on both! We ordered pork sisig and spare ribs with atay on the side. I really love the authentic grilled flavors of their spare ribs and pork sisig. I hope to visit their place again and try out more of their dishes!
