This restaurant is soo underrated. We went in for dinner and the oysters still tasted really fresh. They were so big and extremely worth it. The servings were generally big. The shrimps in a bucket were really good. The chicken wings weren’t what we expected (not the usual battered, fried chicken wings) and were pretty small but the sauce was still quite good. I’m giving it five stars because it definitely deserves a high overall rating than 3.8 here on website. Their oysters are definitely a MUST. 👏🏼 I’m definitely going back for them and hoping the quality remains great.

What we had:Hawaiian style NachosSalmon and Mango Salsa PokeMised Seafood PokeWhat I liked:Overall experience at Johnny’s was refreshing. We were greeted with a warm welcome upon entering. The interiors scream of bright colors. I loved how light their hawaiian nachos were. Even with a big serving, it’s not nakakaumay and will not take your appetite away from the mains. The poke bowls were both good. The salmon cuts were fresh and the flavors were interesting.

To be honest the food taste is actually alright...But we were a little put off by the customer service & false advertising. Ordered oyster rockefeller which on their menu clearly states has smoked bacon & creames spinach....what arrived with us was nothing but oysters w cheese. We politely asked if there was a mistake cause theres also a 4cheese variant. So they took back the plate and we thought they made us a fresh batch...3mins later they come back and serve us the exact same plate and say "rockefeller po" 🤦🏻‍♀️ sorry but you can disect every one of those shells and not find a single bacon cube or leaf of spinach!

Tried this hawaiian shrimp house style in eastwood. They have value meals during lunch time with iced tea. Got the following:Samoan pork barbeque - so-so, nothing special.Kahuku pork katsu - it has curry sauce so fyi, but serving size is good.Huli huli glazed bacon belly - ok tasteKahuku shrimp with rice - tastes good and you can eat the shrimp skin. A little expensive but great taste.

I was craving for Poke when I stumbled upon Johnny Kahuku. I was excited to eat here since I was able to see from outside hat they have Poke Bowls. I ordered Mixed Seafood Poke and it took around 10 minutes to serve my order. When they served it, I mixed it right away and realized that I didn't see any white shrimp or grilled squid which was supposed to be included in the poke bowl. I asked the server and after confirming with the kitchen, she advised me that they were going to replace the order. The server came back with the same bowl they initially served me and already had the shrimp and squid in it. The serving was just right for me although other reviews said the portion was small for its price.Taste was good although I would want to taste more Shoyu Ginger dressing. I ended up paying 425 for my order. It was okay but I didn't think it was value for money.Ambiance is okay also. AC can be colder. I'll still come back as I really like poke bowl but I hope they make it tastier next time!

I reported i found a piece of glass in our food. I bit on it so i would know. The waitress immediately dismissed it and said its from the shell of the mussels. One, it was the size of a rock salt and it was transparent like glass! So know it cant have been shell, then it would be green. She took it showed the chef and didnt report back!!!Then we told her one mussels wasnt open an indication it wasnt good. Same waitress said we can have it cooked so it would open! Ah hindi kasi ganun yun!

This is one of a few Hawaiian restaurants in the metro. The decor and ambiance is cool with vibrant colors. The menu is also very appetizing. Serving is good for sharing. Flavors are also good. I was expecting though more authentic flavors. Service also needs to improve on efficiency

We tried their drunken shrimp basket and the salmon and cheese poke bowl. The poke bowl was alright, though it didn't have that much fish when a poke bowl is primarily about the fish, but otherwise it's so so. The shrimp was great, it's nicely fried with the shell on so you can actually eat it shell and all, and it makes for a nice crunchy thing to chow on. Given that the shrimp basket is half the price of the plates or the shrimp bucket it's definitely what I'd go for, it's got some good value for money. I'd go there again for the shrimps, it's worth trying.

We passed by and went in just out of curiosity. We ordered the Ahi Tuna with Pineapple rice bowl and the 6pcs garlic butter shrimp with Hawaiian rice, grilled corn on the cob and grilled pineapple. They were both excellent. The ahi tuna rice bowl was fresh and refreshing. The shrimp dish was huge and really delicious. shrimp was crunchy, tasty and cooked perfectly. I would love to eat here again. and again. 😁
