Foods good but the service is not so. Yesterday we went there and had a late lunch and while we were enjoying our tasty meal meron nag pa-picture sa kabilang table na customer at yung waiter halos mabangga na yung Dad ko and yung table namin para makunan lang sila ng picture as if we were eating for free food and di kami customer wow di man lang nag "excuse me sir"...

The food was okay. A little different from the usual kakanin that we have but it's not bad. The puto jalaya was really good for me but the rest were a little too sweet. Price was probably a little expensive for kakanin. The place was an open area, just a small joint. Something to try at least. They have other varieties of food too. Maybe I'll try that next time and add in my review of those.

Affordable. Taste is just ok. Nothing special. Service is quite good. Don't expect your food to be served freshly cooked. They just reheat everything in the microwave. Chances are, everything comes to the store pre cooked by their commissary. All in all, you're going to get what you're paying for, and it's not a bad thing, but it could have been better.

It's my second time at Isla Cafe.. The first time I tried this was at Robinsons Malate. Hacienda Style Arroz Caldo - So-so but yeah not bad for the price.Bicol Express - It was good though, it comes with rice and salsa on the side.Pinakbet at Bagnet - Bagnet was too fatty. Eeeekk. Pinakbet lacked flavor.Lemon Lime Mint Shake - Too much ice. Malate's branch is better.Kutsinta - Tough, lacked flavor.Sapin-sapin - So-so, nothing special.Plus points for the ambiance, very Filipino. Staff was attentive and friendly.Follow @CHEFFYMITCHYU on Instagram for more food photos and to discover new restaurants in the metro.

Bicol ExpressIt was creamy and the spice was not overpowering! Ang tender nung pork. The sigarilyas was cooked perfectly too. Pinakbet with bagnetThere was too much bagoong in their pinakbet that it was borderline binagoongan already :) the bagnet was small. I think it was just 4 slices (thin slices) of bagnet on top of the pinakbet.HalohaloIt didnt have the usual ingredients of a great halohalo. For one, they used a lot of jelly to substitute the ingredients but the taste was there. Just expected something more.
