Worth a visit! Their hakaw is a must try. If we are craving for a Chinese cuisine, Hap Chan is the first thing that comes to our mind. Food are affordable (not too pricey). I like their rice dishes too. Their servings are good for 2-3 person mostly. You will definitely come back :)

First impression, lasts.Something's telling me that if there's no staff attending to you upon arriving at the restaurant, eating there will be an epic failure. They were kind enough to put signage on the door that says "Please wait to be seated", but they failed to usher you on your seat. We've wasted a few good minutes while waiting for a server to take our orders. Finally, a server came, wrote down our orders and repeated it but failed to set our expectations on how long we'll wait for our orders. Fine. I thought it won't take long because there were only few customers that night, I can even count it in one hand. The drinks were first served, with complimentary hot tea. After a full 30 mins, 3 follow-ups and 2 growling tummies, our orders were served. The Main EventYang Chow Fried RiceSweet & Sour PorkHot & Sour Soup (reg)Cu-Chay (fried)HK Iced Milk TeaMountain DewWhat's worse than waiting is when they serve you incomplete orders. We ordered Hakaw. In fact, it was on top of our list. The server even repeated it but they didn't serve us one because they failed to forward it to the kitchen staff. How unacceptable, right? Now, onto the food. Yang chow fried rice was good, but not remarkable. The pork on the viand was cut into bite-size but it wasn't tender. The Cu-chay was great - made me want to try the steamed version of it. My milk tea was too sweet for my liking but nevertheless good. Sweetness overpowered the tea.Halfway through our meal, the staff asked if they we can settle the bill, they're about to close and they're running their inventories & sales. If they've given me good service, it's something that I'm not gonna mind, but come on?Not a good experience that night, something that I can't recommend. Prices were relatively affordable and average however the service was poor.Time of visit: 28 Feb 2015 21:30

Food was fantastic! I loved everything that we ordered! Actually i brought my family here twice already because the food is to die for! The fried chicken is so good that you don't need any sauce to booze up the flavor, hakaw is one of my favorites and the yangchao rice was awesome! Definitely coming back for more!
