Habanero Kitchen is definitely a hidden gem among the tall rise buildings and busy streets of cubao. It is located at the cubao expo within araneta city. I came to know about this place from a food group i follow on FB and the reviews were amazing, the food were gastronomically pleasing. I went here to celebrate my birthday with parents and below are my notes, tips and suggestionsPlace is full during weekends plus they have limited tables so better message them on their social media and have a reservation. I came with 2 senior parents (they don’t encourage this but you can at your own risk) if you prefer a cooler place, you can reserve a table at the 2nd floor, otherwise the ground floor is fine and is near the bar. Alfresco dining is also nice. Since it is my 1st time to dine in and they have popular dishes, i decided to preorder. Sent them a message on FB with the list of food that i like and you can always add more once you are at the restaurant. 1. My reservation was between 4:30 to 5:00 pm. Came in just before 5 pm. There were plenty of parking spaces. We went to the restaurant and they immediately recognized me although they pointed me to a seat at the ground floor but my reservation was at the 2nd floor, i informed them and they made the adjustments quickly. 2. We were seated at the 2nd floor and the fan was immediately turned on. Rj, who was our server, introduced himself and explained everything that we need to know. He turned on the ac after a few minutes. Since i preordered our food, all RJ needs to do is to reiterate it to me and he handed over the drinks menu, they have limited drinks at that time but good thing i have water with me. All the utensils were sanitized and kept in individual plastic. Food order:1. Oyster sisig - very yummy. Has a lot of umami flavor and best eaten with rice 😬2. Margherita Truffle Pizza - omg. Love. love. Love. A bit of sweetness, savory truffle taste and surprisingly light.3. Lengua Springrolls - i don’t normally eat lengua, but this i can eat.4. Lechon Habanero Heat Level 1 with Mustasa and Buro - amazing! It’s packed with flavor and even though the heat level is only 1, it can be spicy after eating for sometime. I wish they can make another version which is not spicy and just add a spicy sauce on the side for those who cannot eat spicy at all. Goes well with Buro (which according to my mom who doesnt like buro, this is very good) and mustasa5. Caldereta Longganisa with Burnt Cabbage- surprisingly i can taste the caldereta! And cabbage was yummy6. Kilawin sa Gata - very nice presentation and very refreshing. Suggest to use maybe tanguige next time 7. Habanero Turon - turon with a twist! Love that it was not so sweet and if you wish you can eat with the coffee cotton candy for a modern take to a classic filipino dessert snack! Beautiful plating too! 8. Habanero Ice Cream - Show stopper. Very contemporary. A bit of kick from the habanero but goes well with the cheesecake By the way, they also tried their best to remove any cilantro that maybe in the dish since my parents doesn’t like it.Overall, we had a great time at habanero kitchen! Would like to try more from the menu and i hope they can have other branches soon!Big thanks to our Server, kuya RJ! Every server should follow your footsteps! Galing!

Kudos to our wait staff RJ for the recommendation on a Nitro dessert... He explained to us food ingredients plus factor pa before the serve us the shrimp buro with mustasa leaves... The other wait staff even ask us if any of us has seafood allergies... We ordered three cheese pizza (thin crust) 5star, Spam fries another 5star crunchy, lechon habanero level 1 - 5star mild spicy, chocolate nitro dessert 5 star and habanero ice cream with cheese cake another 5star... I will come back for other dishes sa pizza

The Lechon Habanero, Oyster Sisig, and Three Cheese Pizza were superb!! Would definitely come back. Thanks to our server, RJ! Hoping you would have the Lechon Habanero in a smaller size though.

Tucked in one corner of Cubao Expo, I never thought Habañero would be a revelation in terms of their superb Filipino fusion type of cuisine and the service that automatically earned a top QC resto in my list. I used to hear about this place from one of my friends, emphasizing that the pizza (Three Cheese Pizza) was really good. To my surprise, not just the pizza but everything we ordered were so damn good, hands off to them 🙌🏽🙌🏽I couldn’t recommend one specific dish cos everything was really good. Heads up though, Habanero is the term for some form of chili so this place aint be enjoyable for non-spicy food fans. 🥵 or else you’ll be like this emoji 😂 LENGUA SISIG 4.5/5 yummy appetizer!HABANERO THREE CHEESE PIZZA 5/5 really good pizza, this is the one with the cubed cheese on top. It was a delightful cheesy pizza 🍕 MARGHERITA TRUFFLE PIZZA 5/5 the truffle wasn’t that strong and thus had a hint of sourness in it because of the tomatoes but still good 🥴CREAMY MUSHROOM TRUFFLE PASTA 6/5 SO GOOD, every bite was a life changing experience lol medyo OA na ba ako pero promise!LECHON HABANERO 10/5 hahaha you get to choose from two heat levels of spicy, we got the level 1 and damn it got me sweating already. You can opt to eat them as is or order mustasa and eat them ala kbbq where you wrap one slice, add buro (some sauce made from rice products i believe) add some greens and enjoy 😋 Anchovy Hanger Steak 6/5 so tender and sulit!!!Aside from the food, the servers were really friendly and approachable. The kuya was so good at selling their product and he sure did not disappoint!!! If you’re going extra adventurous, try their Carbonated Lambanog Coolers. This is the only restaurant I have ever encountered serving these kind of drinks.

New Gem discovered! Must try their 1 kilo Lechon Habanero (2 levels of spicyness to choose), pinoy version of korean bbq, meat belly will be dipped in burong rice and then wrapped in mustasa leaves. Must try also their X-bomb shots! Great service and great food here! The only downside is that the place has no air-condition. Visit the place while the weather is cold. Their food presentations are very creative and will be back to try their other dishes.

It is just my second time here in Cubao Expo and we decided to try this place. I love their simple but cozy ambiance specially their bar. The servers were nice and accommodating. I tried their chicken wings and it tasted really good especially the dip. The beef salpicao was also tasty. Kind of pricey tho.

It will be the celebration of my nephew's 1st birthday and we needed great food presentations to have his celebration a memorable one even during this pandemic. I came across Habanero Kitchen & Bar in facebook shared by a friend. I immediatelt fell in love with their food presentation with the lechon. I was hesitant to order at first but one of my chef friends attested that their lechon is to die for! I messaged their facebook page and ordered 4kgs. After picking up our order 2 days after, my sister and I tried to test the taste of their food. To my surprise, it exceeded my expectations. Their lechon is on a whole 'nother level. Wrapping it in mustasa leaves became even tastier. 😋 i' so happy we got to taste this. Highly recommended for first time visitors. 😊

I ordered these for takeout. I did appreciate all my order, except for the chicken. There was nothing special about the chicken. I really love the lechon habanero, especially after heating it in the microwave oven the next day. The 3 cheese pizza was also tasty after heating. The oyster sisig was delicious too. Eating here is a good way to #SupportLocal. Filipino food that's innovative and delicious.
