Their Roasted Pork Belly is the bomb! It's perfect with Cilantro Rice. The dips are also remarkable. And how can I forget that lovely Mexican Fries? Tastiest fries ever! I hope they come up with more menus soon and expand a bit. Place is a bit claustrophobic but nice. ;-)

Everything we tried were great.Taco Sampler - assortment of 5 different tacos - Pork Barbacoa, Roasted Beef, Pork Carnitas, Chorizo, Chicken served in soft taco shellsRoasted Pork Belly - this one's to die for. A burst of salty-sweet flavors perfectly blends in your mouthQuesadilla - with generous servings of cheese and angus beefChicken Burritos - did not get to taste this one. My son just gobbled it all by himself.Service was excellent.

This is now one of maybe three places I can now count on for yummy street tacos made with corn tortillas.Guisados is on Congressional Ave Ext., across the street from Box Park, more or less, and it has a decent amount of parking. I ate inside because it's just been so hot.Based on the menu and past reviews, I went for the 3 taco sampler, with beef balbacoa, carnitas, and pork belly. I was not disappointed: for P179, I got 3 tacos, refried beans (frijoles) and rice on the side. The beans were a lovely addition; the rice, which had been refried and some meat mixed in, not necessary.Well, it's pretty good - the beef tastes like caldereta, a rich, stewed flavor with olives and tomatoes; the carnitas, marinaded in beer and orange juice, was tender, if not particularly distinct. The pork belly tasted exactly as it should. All had a good sprinkling of cilantro and shredded onion; a spritz of lime over the top, together with some spicy green salsa, seasoned the tacos to their full potential.Too bad they don't up the drinks menu; I could have used a Corona or a nice frozen shake with this.Worth going back to; hope they keep this up.

First time I went to Guisado's, I ordered the street tacos and buffalo wings. Their claim to fame was make your own tacos, which was mediocre compared to other taco shops. Buffalo chicken wings were just okay, nothing special. However on my second visit, Guisado's was saved in the guise of their crispy pork belly and fries. Also ordered their quesadillas which was just okay. Pork belly was everything you could hope for- crunchy skin, flakey, juicy pork meat. Basically go to Guisado's to order the pork belly and fries. Steer clear of their meh tacos.

What we tried:Mexican Fries with Dip (P150)Chimichanga (P300)Five Taco Sampler (P239)The dishes we tried were good, but a bit on the pricey side. We really liked the Mexican Fries (mostly because it was different) and the Chimichangga. The sampler had five different types of meat served with soft corn tortilla. My favorite was the pork belly because it had the most flavor. I mixed a lot of green salsa verde in all of them so they turned out okay. I guess samplers are okay if you're really not sure on what to order, but I wouldn't order it again especially once I've found my favorite.To add, I'm really not sure why they have the "build your own taco" tagline to their name, because that's not what happens here. To be honest, that's the whole reason why we ate here, so yeah. Do not be fooled! :P

Guisados specialty is stewed tacos. We ordered the Five Taco Sampler (smaller in size) which is 5 different types of meat served with soft corn tortillas, Mexican Chicken Wings with Mexican Dirty Rice and Cilantro Rice. The food here is basic but immaculately good and delicious. Sometimes it’s the best kind and Guisados has captured it very well.On our second visit, we ordered the regular size Tacos and the Quesadilla. We’re glad that taste and quality were consistent with our first visit.

The place was made known to me through FB. Since it was along the route after our Sunday worship service.My BF and I love Mexican food. When you are very hungry, you want to order everything you want to taste. This time we only tried, mexican fries, quesadilla and roasted pork belly with cilantro rice. The mexican fries is a combination of potatoes and varieties of sweet potatoes. We always love fries. The quesadilla was not a disappointment but they serve it with a white sauce. I wish they serve it with free salsa. The pork belly was so tender ans sumptuous. We were stuffed. We love their food. However we have been to other mexican food place which offers same quality of food at a very lower price compared to Guisados.

Their pork belly thing is what I can only say is remarkable in their food roster. I like it. Very much, actually. I won't think twice coming back to Guisado's even if it's only for this dish. :)
