It was #bangus day for us yesterday with Goldilocks' Bangus meals: Daing na Bangus and Rellenong Bangus. We wanted to eat somewhere that's kid friendly since Mila was with us. What could be more enticing to a kid with a sweet tooth than a place that serves delectable desserts. The Daing na Bangus Meal came with Ginisang Mungo, Gelatin, and bottled water for Kris Olaguer. Our daughter ate the Sotanghon Guisado and Sago't Gulaman that came with the Rellenong Bangus Meal. The SM North branch is not very well maintained. It's a little cramped and a bit old. The only server at the dining area is obviously tired and a little grumpy. The food was great but lacks consistency with the quantity of serving. Goldilocks still gives value for the money spent. We spent less than 300 and we left happy.

After movies we decided to take a snack at Goldilocks. Since this is just a snack we each ordered for Sotanghon (P70). We also ordered a pack of Chocolate Chip Cookies (P44). In this branch the Sotanghon tasted good but, not as great as the other branch were I ate the same dish. It was passable but, not phenomenal. As for the Choco Chip Cookies it was nothing sensational just a cookie. I am reminded of my childhood days when we visit Goldilocks in Cubao which served as a treat after attending church on Sundays. However, one thing that I notice not just with Goldilocks is that how their cook interpret the dishes differently even when using the same ingredients and recipe. Some cook do better than most while others may simply be a bit bored or unchallenged with their job because it shows in the dishes that they serve. Overall, it was a good snack but fall short on what I generally expect from Goldilocks.

I like their palabok and beef steak. Although the beef steak is a bit salty for my taste, I still do enjoy it. Their ice drinks refreshersnare also good. For their desserts, I like the cathedral window.
