Today is the day,,i love chinese food and restau!!!As expected Gloria Maris in Gateway Mall Cubao give me what i expect. The waiters are fast in taking orders and very accomodating. They are all smiles when we came in. The food was great and served 🔥 hot , the seafood fried noodles was hmmm sooo crispy and the sauce was yummy, broccoli with garlic is good too - the freshness of thier broccoli flower - promise i love it. The authenticity of thier fried 🐔 chicken makes my kiddos quite because of being busy of eating the chicken hhahahaa, obviously yang chow fried rice is the best. The chinese music too was entertaining. Will definitely visit again

Gloria Maris in Cubao is located at the 5th floor of Gateway mall. It's elegant and yet intimidating with its interiors adorned with intricate, massive gold-painted pillars. But don't let the appearance fool you. The prices are actually not bad.I dined alone and was craving for Hakaw. I ordered that with a serving of Taro Puff. It took awhile to arrive though but they served peanuts for appetizers and a warm pot of Jasmine tea. When my meal finally arrived, I noticed the Hakaw was quite oily as the container and the dumpling had a glossy finish. I ate one dumpling at a time and they were generous with the shrimps. Although, the grease on my lips were a bit too much for a steamed dumpling. The Taro Puff, as expected, since it's deep fried is definitely on the oily side. It was delicious. But I was only able to eat one as the Hakaw really felt heavy in my stomach. The strong flavors left me hankering for dessert. I got the Mango Almond Jelly which was light and cold but having the 2 oily dishes prior to this, didn't quite sit well. I washed my palate by imbibing the hot Jasmine tea... the tea I believe worsened my acidity. With all due honesty, the food was good but maybe I didn't have the right food combination. The hakaw was way too oily for me. Although all these cost me around 350, I'd say it's affordable for a place with a very nice ambiance. Service was so-so and my wait staff is a noob as she couldn't answer my questions on bestsellers or crowd faves but she tried.I'll try to come back again. But not soon.

The ambience was nice. The servers were very accommodating and very helpful.  I recommend to try their seafood hotpot.  So good.  Only challenge we had was the cover of the pot. First they gave us without any a handle, the replacement was a lot bigger, so we didnt get to use it.  But they're generous with water. My sister was satisfied.

We have always loved Gloria Maris! We ordered our favorites - Yang chow fried rice, Sweet and Sour Pork and Fried chicken. Serving was really for sharing and we even had left overs to take home.

My fave authentic chinese resto in Cubao. Since we just live nearby, Gloria Maris have wowed us since tge first time we've been here. It might look like it costly but their serving is huge, so delicious and the staff are superb! Must try: taho :) But since it's raining outside, my fave food is up tonight! - congee.

Very accommodating staff. Great Chinese food. The place was a bit dim to my liking, though. There were lighting that needed replacing.I hope they steam clean the carpets, too.

The shabu-shabu for 2 at Gloria Maris in Gateway Mall Cubao is actually more than enough for 2 people. Combined with Yang Chow Fried Rice, Beef Curry, Hakaw and Fried Chicken, it turned out to be a feast for 5. :) It's our first try of the Beef Curry and we're happy with the dish. The slightly spicy and creamy curry is perfect for the tender beef cubes and still crunchy green bell peppers. Waiters are always prompt and friendly. The seats are comfortable too set in an ambiance intended to imbibe opulence with the deep red interiors and gold colored columns at the center of the dining area.

I ate my lunch here today. The food was great, the servers aren't.I am surprised that people aren't eating here. Probably because of the royal feel of the place or something. The place is clean and a little outdated but for a place of fine dining, i don't mind the gold and red combo of the place.About the food. I don't find the food that expensive. It only feels too expensive if you don't know what you are ordering. We were only 3 (again) in our table and wanted different dishes so We ordered 3 diff ricebowls, a veggie ala carte and a beef wanton noodles. The service charge is a bit high but the food is really good. Here are my thoughts with what I had.Roasted Duck rice bowl- the duck meat was perfection. It tasted really good even without the plum sauce. I have tried other roasted duck dishes from other places and so far this is one of the best (wai ying gets the top spot for me, hehe). Beef brisket noodle with wanton- the broth is good, and it is a clear broth. I have been to other chinese noodle places and they have the clearest and tastiest broth i ever had. The beef was so tender and tasty. The wantons are also good (it should be, because gloria maris is known for their dimsum).Lastly,Seasonal Veggies in Oyster Sauce (veggie ala carte)- this is sooo good, except for the pechay thing, i personally just dont like that veggie in all chinese dishes haha. It has asparagus, white button mushrooms, brocolli, polonchay (right?) and young corn in oyster sauce goodness. The balance of flavors are there. You can taste everything from the sauce to the veggies. What I don't like about this restaurant is that they have sooo much in the menu but does not have some of the dishes which is really bad, imo. I opted for a melon shake and the server said there were no melon shake... I always ask whatever is not available in the menu before ordering and i just hope the servera are well informed about what is not in the menu. Out server told me that the melon shakr is not possible, 10 mins after we ordered. I also noticed, since the place is not full, the servers are chatting too much. I guess it is okay if there are no diners but if there's any, i think they need to lower their voices. Naguusap pa sila sa harapan ng table. They have no idea that we also need the quiet time that's why we chose to eat there. Lol.Just a tip: good restaurant not only comes with good food but also good customer service. Please train your servers on how to behave properly when there are guests even if there's only 1 person eating. Peace!
