The food tasted authentic enough. I enjoyed their pesto. The items on the menu are a bit on the pricey side but they have great promos. One of the pizzas tasted weird. Was turned off by the service (or the lack of it).

I really liked the ambiance of the place, elegant and simple that one can really dine in peace. I loved their cheesy pesto lasagna, I was already full when we ate but I couldn't stop myself to dive for more food. I'd probably go back to taste their coffee and pastries.

Nice place to chill. Their margherita is chewey and surprisingly, I liked it. Not a fan of pesto. Will probably be back to try their beer. And hopefully, they still have the buy one get one pizza for P399.

Great place to get Italian cuisine, owned by an Italian family. Brick oven pizzas, yummy pastas and risottos and great promos for groups! Definitely worth coming back for!

Looking for a good place to eat in Cubao, we came across the new Manhattan building outside Gateway. We stumble across Giovanni’s Bar Ristorante which offers Italian dishes and pizza.Place is simple, clean and has lots of tables and chairs to accommodate and a small 2nd floor for more customers. We are greeted by their staff upon entering the restaurant.Menu was handed to us upon seating and honestly, they offer lots of dishes on their menu making it hard for me to decide on what to order. After maybe 10-15 minutes, here’s what we ordered:Lasagna (Php280)- The lasagna was huge given the price. Creamy, cheesy and tasty. Though I felt “umay” half way already. I suggest that they should include toasted bread on their dish as well as they should also improve on the presentation to look more appetizing. They lasagna served looked so simple for me.Strozzapreti Giovanni (Php350)“Strozzapreti pasta with seafood in eggs and cheese based sauce”- I like that this one’s tastier than it seems and one can really taste the clams included. I don’t know what cheese they used for this but I was looking for more cheese flavor. The hand-rolled strozzapreti pasta was thick, cooked well and made us full.- We didn’t order the pizza since we were already full from these 2 dishes. According to the staff who attended us, each dish is good for 2 persons but still depends. Overall, we had a good time dining here though the ambiance seems gloomy (maybe because we were the only customer around and only saw 2 staffs despite that the place was big). Would like to come back here again sometime 

They have legit italian food (which is very delicious especially the pasta and pizza) and the service is really good. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I took my mom here for a new year dinner. They have a very accommodating staff. A place with just the right atmosphere. We appreciated both their pasta and pizza.

Good place, I love the ambience. Food is great too! The order we had was good for two. Perfect for family gatherings, it is a cozy place where you can have good time and drink wine. Love the pasta!

Manhattan Parkview's is on General Malvar Avenue, low-key and residential in feel, one block behind Four Seasons Hotpot. This is the area to visit to escape the often chaotic feel of the Cubao shopping district.Giovanni's, owned and run by an Italian, is here, with pizza, pasta, and main dish specials written on the board. When they serve their own bread with a nice cheesy pesto, you know you're okay.We tried the risotto special of the day yesterday, a shrimp and zucchini creation that used Italian rice. It had just the right amount of cheese added to finish the dish and was perfectly al dente. We then had the Salsiccie e Patate, house-made sausages with boiled, then roasted potatoes with the scent of rosemary.I came back and tried their meat Cannelloni, which had a stuffing exactly as I remembered when I was in Italy, growing up; and a nice steak Tagliata made from flank meat, with a great siding of mushrooms, dusted in cornmeal and them fried, easy and good. The cooking is authentic and restrained, to conform to the neighborhood's ideal price points, but I am sure you can ask the chef to amp things up for a charge, because you're worth it, and the food is too. The risotto, for instance, deserved a splash of bright white wine, it was so nice. The layout and the design of the resto is okay, it is the menu you should focus on.
