Another katsu resto. Its cheaper than yabu, so we tried it.We ordered their chicken katsu set regular -150g of chicken katsu, with unli cabbage salad, miso soup, fruits and rice. The katsu breading was not as crispy as i had wanted, plus i feel that the chicken meat was undercooked. My guy ordered their katsu sandwich, and it was a total mistake. He seldom complains about food, and i can feel that he's a little frustrated with the size and quality. The set features 4 slices of 1 1/2 inch width of katsu with sweet sauce sandwiched by ordinary supermarket bought white bread. It was a total 'lugi'. Total bill was 770+ (no drinks included)

Best katsu Ive tasted so far. They serve unlimited japanese rice, miso soup and shredded cabbage for a number of dishes in their menu. The home made iced tea was also very refreshing. You have the option to go unlimited iced tea as well. They have excellent service and good food at a reasonable price.

Tag: Loved the Maki!Japanese food is not always top of my list.... though I always find it nice when we try one!Starting of with Okonomiyaki: scrambled egg with veggies and shrimp it's a good appetizer though very fillingMaki: sweet mango inside with crunchy texture outside plus the savory flavor I really appreciate the way they put it together.Ramen it's quite spicy and rich in flavor but I find it not so refreshing...it lacks that distinct ramen experience im looking for.Katsu special set: it has fish, tempura and other seafoods but over all I find most stuffs oily though I like the perfect tempura.Gyoza they got it right with the gyoza the perfect meat and veggie mix really released a nice savory flavor.Food, service and ambiance this place will be worth the visit.

When I first set foot on UP Town Center 3 years ago, this is the first restaurant we tried abd were happy so when we had the chance to drop by UP Town again, I thought of dining here again to check if the quality is still the same. And it did not disappoint! I orderedRosu Katsu set. The meat was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Miso soup was yummy and as usual I had 5 rounds of their salad! Good thing except for the meat all the sides are bottomless :) My husband had Tonkotsu Ramen and he seemed to be happy with the broth. He is not a fan of thick noodles so he had a hard finishing them. But he said he would come back for the broth. Haha. We will surely be back!

Nothing spectacular.. the food is just ok. The place is too small. Tables are almost next to each other. Even the waiters had hard time to go around the place.. the service was amazing tho..

I'd say Ginza Bairin should be up there somewhere with Yabu when it comes to Katsu. Their katsu is crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. Sauces are good and the veggies are served fresh. Crew was also very friendly. No complaints here.

Ordered Menchi and Miso Katsu for lunch. The meat taste good and juicy. Miso sauce for the katsu tasted different from the last time I ate in their glorietta branch not sure if they changed the recipe. The staff are attentive and gave us a good service.

Ginza bairin remains to be a treasured gem. My first experience here a couple of years back was memorable, because the dishes made it to my memory bank! The seafood set with its unlimited cabbage, miso, rice and soup refill makes you think good about the world. Yes, its that kind of comfort food. The salted egg ramen was nothing short of savory. The house maki rolls was bursting with umami. And oh, can I just say the servers were really doing their job well. High five!

Tried the Menchi Cheese Katsu and Spicy Salmon Maki here today. Ginza Bairin consistently serves good hire and rosu katsu, and for the most part it succeeded as well with the menchi katsu. The meat was still juicy and the breading was light and crisp, but I felt that the cheese needed to be a bit more flavorful--it isn't present enough in this dish. The salmon maki, on the other hand, was very good. While the rice was a bit loose, the combination of spicy Japanese mayo with what I think were crispy salmon skin bits and fresh salmon was delicious. This place is a solid choice if you want to try a katsu place that offers more appetizer and sushi options.

First point: the place isn't very spacious at all. Servers were struggling to go to their customers as the tables were very near each other. Not really good to go here during lunch or dinner time. Not to mention, it was VERY hard to get their attention. Just a good thing that they were all very friendly and nice.Second point: As a jap food lover, I loved everything about their dishes. Especially these two sushis!!!! Make sure to order their Ginza Special Sushi something like that!! Kind of pricey but it's al worth it.I hope they can improve the spacing here in this restaurant because it's best to enjoy your food with a perfect food place ambiance.
