I kept on seeing Gillian Gail Dessert Buffet on my Facebook wall so my sister, together with our mom, decided to check it out.  Buffet price per person is P299 VAT in.  This price covers all their dessert offerings including bottomless drinks (iced tea, coffee and Twinings tea) plus their line-up of non-dessert items (pasta, siomai, mini siopao, fishballs, kikiam, etc.)The Place:It's a cozy place that reminds me of cute dollhouses that I have had as a child.  Tip:  If you plan to take photos, I suggest that you sit yourself where there is ample natural light coming in.  Please note that most food establishments have lightning that are meant to make eating more enjoyable, not really for photo shoots. The Desserts:Gillian Gail has a lot of desserts that you can choose from.  I don't think it's possible for one to be able to try all desserts and all combinations within the given amount of time that you are there at the shop.  Also, even if you are a certified website, I seriously doubt if you can handle all the desserts.  It's best to check out the buffet area then choose your top picks.  I suggest you try their fried palitaw/palitao, creme brulee and apple crumble ala mode.  Drinks:I was surprised that they serve very good coffee and tea.  Their tea is Twinings no less.  I mean how much do you pay for the most basic coffee and tea at the more popular cafés?  Just saying, right?  Plus, if you prefer something cold, they have iced tea.Non-Dessert Items:Aside from their siomai, siopao, fishballs and the like.  They also have nachos. Nothing really fancy, just simple nachos, melted cheese... but I have developed some fondness eating them because of the Jalapeño.  A few months back, Gillian Gail has also started offering two types of pasta, with red sauce and pesto.  Of the two, I prefer the former.Connectivity:Unlike other establishments, Gillian Gail offers free Wi-Fi.  Value-For-Money:Think about this.  How much do we spend for a cup of coffee or tea and a say a slice of cake in a coffee shop?  I rest my case.  : )

Before I get to the quality of the sweets offered in this cutesy tootsie buffet, I'd like to think that this place was meant for those who just need to satisfy that sweet tooth at that precise moment and obviously don't wanna spend too much. So don't expect anything fancy. All the cupcakes taste the same, all chocolates taste the same. But I wouldn't lie, I could eat here everyday if I had no regard for my health or diabetes or whatsoever.

I was disappointed with their dessert choices. The cakes does not taste good at all. The small glasess with their desserts would have been good if they were cold. Sorry I really havr nothing good to say about the food although, the staffs are really nice and accommodating.

All the way from UST, I decided to take my friend to Katipunan just to check out this place. Though we found it absolutely difficult to go here because of the traffic jam, I could say it was worth the inconvenience. When we entered the place, I thought it was all cozy and I compliment them for their classy tea-shop-ish ambiance. They don't only offer desserts in their buffet because they have pasta, dumplings, fish balls and the like for appetizers. Aside from cakes, candies and other typical desserts, they also have regular Filipino desserts like mais con yelo, halo halo, and palitaw which I wasn't able to try anymore since I was so full! Honestly, I was expecting I'd see more assortments with the desserts especially the churros but I think they're having a sort-of rotation for everyday's menu. The people there are really accommodating! You guys should try it too! :)

I've been to this place twice already. But going to this dessert haven should come with a warning as this place is bad for your health. But nonetheless, I keep coming back for sweets and more sweets. I've come to try all their cakes but I get stuck on eating ice cream until my head kicks the sense out of me. They have crêpes too! makes this place more special because they don't stuff your tummy with just plain sweet cakes or brownies. Lastly, I've had enough of the desserts I finish my visit with something salty for my taste bud. Before they only had nachos and dimsum but now they also have pasta unlimited. What a treat! This place is heaven for me I'd like to wake up every morning and see this dessert counter in my house. That would be lovely!

I love desserts so Gillian Gail is an automatic check on my to eat list. The place is small with at least 10 tables inside. Place is tidy and very cute. They offer almost mostly cakes and cupcakes and some are not displayed but you can tell them like ice scramble, con yelos and lot more. They also have some pasta, siomai and some street foods to balance the sweetness. Plus points to their very tasty tea. The staff are very accommodating too! All of this just for 300 pesos! 👌
