Food was OK, but service and manager were poor. Restaurant was empty except for us, and the waitress still managed to get our order wrong. Manager made excuses and blamed the waitress when we complained rather than doing anything constructive.

Came all the way from the South, and it was worth it! We started with the chorizo frito, and while it was great, it's best paired with some bread (which has to be ordered) to offset the saltiness. The lamb empanadas were practically stuffed all with meat, little, if any, filler. We ordered the 1.5 kg tomahawk at medium doneness, but it mostly came medium well, but it was tasty and tender enough that we didn't complain. It was excellent with the chimichurri, bearnaise, and pepper sauces; and we kept the spicy olive oil from the chorizo to sprinkle over the garlic rice. Yummy. The 1.5 kg tomahawk was a little short of "just right" for the five of us, so I would say this would better serve 3-4 hungry people. Anyway, as the steak was being placed on the table, some of the juice dripped onto my brother's clothes. My dad snarked, as dads do, and the server kept apologizing profusely. At the end of the meal, we ordered the panqueque con dulce de leche, then the chocotorta was placed on our table. As I protested we didn't order this, the server explained it was a complimentary dessert, to make up for the incident earlier. Both desserts were good, but I ended up preferring the chocotorta. Good food, food service, would want to try the slow fire pit roasts next time.

You will not find this restaurant if you just stroll inside the mall. Loved the interior and overall look of it.They served argentinian food so expect a different spices in your order. We loved all we ordered especially the choco lava. If you are a meat lover, this is highly recommendable. Plus they serve unlimited rice, perfect for people who loves all their food to be paired with rice.

My friends and I are certified meat lovers...oh well, except for one. That is why when we passed by Gaucho at Robinson's Magnolia one day, we were suddenly craving for grilled meat.Oh boy, we had a feast! Most of their dishes are for sharing. Our group had Ceviche which is marinated fish with cilantro, avocado and chili. It was so-so. Then came our main meal. Hefty servings of Tira de Asado (Beef Short Ribs), Cordero Entero a la Cruz (Grilled young lamb) and for carbs, we had the Humitas Corn Cake and the Arroz Negra. We were satisfied with all except for the appetizer. The meat came with the the proper condiments. We also tried their Panqueque con Dulce de Leche which is actually crepes filled with nuts with cinnamon ice cream. Perfect match and it is delicious! Their Pastel de Chocolate Oscuro or Molten Dark Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream is Good, too!

Just celebrated my birthday with my family here. Food and ambience were great. Staff were quite accommodating. The place is good for families and group of friends but would be more suitable for romantic dates. Loved the interior. Steaks were awesome. Arroz de Negra (black rice) is delicious and highly recommended. They also have this caviar like or pesto paste, which also tastes really good and matches almost anything you eat with especially with crackers/bread! I loved that they have meals for kids too. That way I didn't have a hard time ordering for my daughter. The only con in this experience was that they were too eager to close up the resto even if it says that the resto is open till 10pm, and the waiter who assisted us was rushing to take our orders and kept saying, "last call for orders na po kasi sir/maam." We were there between 7:40-8:00pm and there were still like 2 tables filled with customers enjoying their night while we were being pressured for our orders! They could've told us about this when we made a reservation earlier the same day.All in all, it was a good dining experience and still a happy birthday celebration, indeed! My dad and I were glad to have found a new and extra ordinary steakhouse with premium quality meats being served because we love steaks so much!!! Will come back here to try out the other meals but, definitely in a much earlier time.

Meat Lover's Paradise! Four of us went to check out Robinsons Magnolia for the first time... I've always thought of Robinsons as a more "budget class" mall (like Pioneer and Fairview). We were quite surprised how nice Magnolia was it had a very Ayalaesque feel to it. We headed upstairs to Gauchos beacuse we are absolute meat and bbq fanatics! We ordered the works... all the slow roated meats from the pit - the US Short ribs, suckling pig and the Aussie Lamb and it came with sides of chimichurri, pickled onions and garlic rice. The meat was fatty and salty and ridiculously sinful! We couldn't get enough! The sides were also quite popular on the table the chimichurri gave us that fresh herby hit and the pickled onions cut straight through the fat. Awesome combination. Oh I forgot to mention their house bread was fantastic toasty and fluffy, we asked for extra orders and used them to create little meat and pickle sliders.. oh yeah baby!!Gauchos was great so much so that I couldn't stop raving about it to my team mate - the next day at work. He was so conviced that he went straight after work hahaha. Reason I didn't give Gaucho a 5 was the loud and extremly cold AC that the had. We were right underneath it. That shouldn't deter you from going.. the food is great. End of story :)

Food here is amazing and for the quantity and quality you'll get, there's definitely value for money. I'm soooo in love with the EL POZO DE FUEGO (slow roasted from the fire pit) CORDERO ENTERO A LA CRUZ (Aus Young Lamb). This is the best lamb I've ever tasted. It comes with Rice, super yummy Chimmichuri and pickels (shallots one is the best). Pair this with red wine and this is the best meal in this planet. :)

When Gaucho first opened here at Robinson's Magnolia, they went all out with the expensive cuts of steak and all the trimmings, which was something of a gamble for this neighborhood. I've returned since my first visit many, many months ago and I find that steak is still on the menu, but that the owners have gotten creative and showcased other cuts of beef, still grilled or roasted to provide something of an Argentine experience. Pay attention to the kitchen area, and you may see them grill steak then and there. We saw them do a huge tomahawk steak, which takes thirty minutes to do right. We first ordered melted provolone cheese. It looked pretty in the cast iron plate and was great with melba toast. Then we ordered beef plate, good for sharing and a great deal for its price, as well as a 300g cut of short rib. I could tell from the presentation that it's possible they do the butchery carving themselves. The beef plate was good, but nowhere near as good as the short rib, although the cut need more trimming of fat. They served our beef with their parsley chimichurri and three kinds of pickles. The eggplant pickles in particular were very good! We were too full for dessert, which was just as well. The place has good ambience and is well airconditioned. I think they fear too much smoke, and that makes them want to leave their main door open, inviting flies, which is not sanitary. Perhaps they can work out a better way of sucking up exhaust fumes.

Food was just OK. We enjoyed most their fugazetta and the rib-eye steak. We also ordered their other "best sellers" -- locro and lengua salad. These ones we did not enjoy.

    1. In spite of making a reservation for 8pm, we arrived to find the place very warm. Seems like the aircon was just turned on when we arrived. (Their excuse was an earlier diner found the place cold and had the temp turned up. The service staff didn't think to adjust the aircon after that group left.)2. The bathroom garbage cans were over flowing and the bath tissue (toilet paper) was empty. The toilet seat which has been wobbly since Last I was there in Feb has still not been repaired.3. One dessert was ordered, as no one else wanted any, but it was taking too long that, only when we asked to cancel it, the server said it was being made. (The dessert was premade cookies with a filling of dulce de leche.) clearly they didn't make it until we complained about how long we were waiting.4. When the bill arrived, it was lumped together as a single bill. We had requested earlier when we started giving our order that they separate our checks as we were a big group.5. They couldn't accept credit cards when we were paying because they said the service was down. Lucky we paid in cash but the only other customer had to wait as the cashier had to call their credit card company by phone.6. The manager in charge did not even think to comp the dessert. As we stood to get up, I told them that they should've offered to comp us something instead of saying sorry and she said she could offer me coffee. I said her offer was too late. If they don't improve their service, I give this place only a few months before it dies a slow death. They should do us a service and just close their doors. My point is, if it was just one or two glitches, we could've understood. But all in all, I cannot recommend this restaurant anymore. It wasn't that they were extremely busy. The place was definitely not full.I guess the management have stopped caring about their customers and the servers are following the management's attitude.Buh-bye, Gaucho! I won't miss you.
