The best place to satisfy your sweet tooth. Have all the cheesecakes that you want, and coffee too. Also love the macaroons. It's quite a small cafe, but it has a homey feeling to it. I always love coming here.

The place is fairly okay. It can get cramped though when it's full packed. Anyway, I scored it low since the appearance of the desserts doesn't live up to its taste. These are the following food that we ordered:1) Dulce and Gabanana - Its expected that it will be difficult to cut it with just a fork since it's a tart. However, it tastes just like a cookie topped with cream. There is nothing special in it. What we liked about it though is that it's not sweet.2) Pumpkin Bacon Soup - It lacked bacon bits for us.3) An Apple a Day - We ordered this french apple tart to be topped with salted caramel ice cream, but vanilla ice cream was served instead. We didn't had it replace anymore since we already wanted to eat it.4) Garden Grocer Salad with Cream Caesar Dressing - Their menu spelled Caesar wrong. It's not a big issue, but it's still noticeable.5) Cheesecake with Strawberry - The cheesecake was very dry and the cheese couldn't be taste. We were really disappointed with this one.6) Macadamia Nut Latte - The coffee taste was too strong and there is no hint of macadamia nut. It was literally latte just topped with whipped cream and macadamia nuts that tasted weird.Overall, I would think twice in returning here. I tasted better desserts in other restaurants.By the way, they offer Caramilk which is interesting to try.Just reasonable food, travel & etc.By Me-An

My friend said the catchy names of their sweet creations are making her curious, we might as well go and satisfy both our tummies and her curiosity. So after a bad dinner at a place that was highly recommended by a tv food channel, we went to this place. We thought at first that it's just catering for takeaways since the ground floor is literally occupied by the whole display cabinet, featuring most of their best selling products, when we were asked if we were to have coffee, and we said yes, one of the crews ushered us to this steep stairs to their second floor - a simple and relaxing... And limited space. What can a name do? Well, in this case, it made us buy all the ones with catchy names! And so far they were all good - not too sweet, not too much icing, and not too fluffy. It was a good place to end a disastrous dinner, by the time the sugar kicked in, our collective moods were much much better :)

For those who dedicate an extra-large portion of their blog to the insatiable appetite for discovering newly opened restaurants and cafe, it's proverbial that we still have an all-consuming penchant for dessert-lovers' all-time favorites from Fleur De Lys Patisserie. This pastry shop have been there since 2006 (referenced from Lori's DCF blog). And I'm thinking why haven't I read or heard about it long before. After attending a restaurant review with fellow bloggers at Timog Ave., I made it a point to make a short walk to Tomas Morato, to stop by and comb my fork over the known cafe to sample some of their pastry offerings. What actually made me hover over the internet to search for Fleur De Lys is their Florentines, which was given to us during the WOFEX 2013 media dinner at Azuthai. The streets of Tomas Morato was still busy at almost 10 pm when I decided to pay it a visit. Seats outside are taken already, seeing that there is only one table inside with just two seating, I got this daunting feeling to just buy some cake slices and bring at home, and some of those Florentines as well. I never really expected to get a good cup of coffee here but I tempted my fate seeing that there is a stairway leading to the second floor area and as what the lady staff said about the the floor being empty. There is one framed painting of a lily seated a top a block of chocolate, however. Most of the time my curiosity for certain dining establishments goes beyond it's menu. I love reading or listening to stories of how it was built up, why the choice of name or how the owner's character was depicted in their craft. The Fleur de Lis mimeos a lily or lotus flower. It is often used to represent French Royalty, and is believe to symbolize life, light, and perfection. However, I find it hard to get connections from the name to the whole theme of the pastry shop.Since I opted for a light slice of cake, I got another sweety treat for my cup of coffee. Macadamia nut latte. I love how this coffee rendered a nutty aroma and flavor with a hint of mocha and a gourmet coffee can not be exciting enough without the milky froth, and it actually came in layers of two kinds, milk and chocolate. I was kinda expecting a coffee art with the Fleur de Lys symbol on top. Sorry, it's me being finicky on my food. Now, for my sweet night cap - Fleur De Lys' Best Kept C-cret.Nothing is so secret about this cake though. I chose between another best-seller, The Next Best Thing and this. I have my top choices for chocolate cakes and the latter seemed like what we had at Dillinger's, a molten (also known as lava cake) chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream. What makes this worth-trying is having a layer of beautifully stacked up cakes and creams in one fork-bite. Let me deconstruct the layers for you. From top to bottom: vanilla chiffon cake, chocolate mousse, vanilla chiffon cake, yema cream, chiffon cake and custard. For the non-chocolate-lovers, if there is one, this can probably caught their attention and might gain their liking. I found this to be particularly best partnered with green tea or black tea. I'm not the cream-lover either, so I can't count myself to rave about this.If you ask if I will still come back to try their other pastry, I say yes! I want to try their Picasso Pavlova and Pocket Garden (or simply carrot cake).

It's a very homey cafe especially when you want to kill time in Tomas Morato area. This cafe has seen better days though. I used to go here a lot and I remember that their cakes were pretty much delicious. During my recent visit, I tried their bestseller The Next Best Thing (warm choco cake with vanilla ice cream) and I was not impressed at all. For its price, I was expecting a rich and bittersweet kind of chocolate cake but NO --- it tasted so-so. Reminds me of an ordinary choco cake from a popular bakeshop. Their chamomile tea tasted legit though.

My best friend and I had a very spontaneous day last Saturday and we tried different restaurants around Tomas Morato, before calling it a day, we want to have a decent dessert and while searching around the area we stumbled across this little and cute café near Il Terrazo. The overall interior of the Cafè is fine, It’s pleasing to the eyes. My friend wanted to try “The Best Kept C-Cret” because it was highly recommended by the cashier, It is a layer of custard, chocolate mousse and chiffon. It was good blend but for me it’s too sweet, I will rate it a 3.5/5My personal favorite is the Hokkaido’s best cheesecake and it was a good pick but then again it’s too sweet for me. I’ll give it 4/5.We will definitely come back to try the dishes, we’re looking forward to try the Baked Chicken with 40 cloves of Garlic since my best friend and I love dishes with lots of garlic 💕

Received their chocolate cake TODAY as a promotional item. I was told it was custom-made by this shop. I thought the fondant decoration was beautiful and very close to the real thing. Vibrant colors held up well. Unfortunately, the chocolate cake inside was a little dry. Not sure if it's due to handling. Too sweet for me.

Off Tomas Morato is Fleur de lys. Been going to this cafe since 2012. In my most recent visit, nothing has changed. Same fixtures, same menu, and same food. They’ve been consistent in quality and service. Will be back again soon.
