Here at the moment. The ambiance of the place plus the background music is a thumbs up. The iced chocolate is good but the cheesecake looks so plain. The serving size is kind of small as well. I like the place tho.

my groupmates and i went here to do our paper, and the ambiance is really nice. I thought the place was big (from pictures) turns out it just has a few tables, it has a smoking and non-smoking area. The staff was okay, they were kind. I think their pastries are overpriced since they're just small i find it a bit expensive, i didn't taste it though. Anyways, we got the carbonara, green tea latte and the chocolate waffle. The carbonara was fair for the price, they have a generous amount of bacon, which is nice btw. However, the latte just tasted like milk and it has too much ice, for the waffle it tasted decent however, the waffle was a bit hard to slice. The wifi works but there were a couple of times wherein it didn't work. The music was nice but it was inconsistent, because sometimes they play chill songs then next they're playing loud & punkish music. Wasn't really satisfied with our experience, tried it, don't think we'll come back though :(

A great place to relax, study and unwind. The staffs are very warm in welcoming their guests and also swift in terms of their service. We ordered their Green Tea and Caramel Iced Lattes which is definitely a must try as well as their Hungry Jack and Spanish Sardine with Olive Pastas. I will surely comeback! :)

After our Mongolian Buffet at Café Sweet Inspirations,  we decided to burn some calories and explore Katips via walking.  We found ourselves having a cup of joe at Equatorial. Third Wave coffee joints are popping out like wild mushrooms.  Equatorial is one of them.  The interior is modern meets eclectic.  I dig the mismatched tables and chairs.  The joint is small and reeks of solace, perfect for studying and some alone time. We got a cup of Piccolo and Green Tea Latte.  I am not that keen on latte art but if the barista can make something out of foam,  that's brownie points for me.  The dude made a swan and a leaf thingy,  cool beans!  Coincidentally,  our first sip happened simultaneously.  After we placed the cup down.  We blurted out (in unison) "That n&₱%? @ made a shit out of my coffee."That's Louis CK describing his coffee experience. And yes,  my affinity with green tea started with Equatorial.   I absolutely love my GTL,  smooth and creamy.  He digs the Piccolo.   Smooth and has a strong coffee flavor. And oh,  WiFi is crazy fast and they play good music (when i say good,  i mean Indie)

Equatorial Coffee was my go-to place for studying or killing time during my last year as a student in Ateneo. I'd always be in need of a coffee fix, and their yummy meals were a bonus. I've tried their:• Bacon Carbonara: My order around 90% of the time. I don't know why I grew an attachment to this dish, but I'd more often than not order it together with my coffee. It's actually a really simple dish, but it quickly became my comfort food. The serving of bacon is pretty generous & I love how no-fuss this pasta is. It's not the best carbonara I've ever had, but for me, it's one that'll always remind me of my last year in Ateneo haha• Amatriciana with Crusted Bacon: This is pretty much the bacon carbonara only with tomato sauce. I'd order this during the times I craved for red sauce with my pasta.• Fresh Basil Pesto Pasta: I ordered this around 2-3 times only, I think. It was also good, but I'd like it better if it came with a heavy protein like chicken.• Beef Stroganoff: This was surprisingly really good! I only ordered it a few times though because I find the servings of their rice meals a little bitin.• Beef Stew in Honey Soy: Very flavorful, but I wish it came with more beef. When I tried it, it had more sauce than meat.• Chicken Parmigiana: I thought this would be a sure hit with me, but sadly, I really hated it. I think it was because it was served in a metal plate, but I could smell the metal while I was eating. It's like it clung to the tomato sauce, giving it an unpleasant metallic taste. The chicken was also pretty fatty in some areas. I never ordered this again after the first time I tried it.• Green Tea Waffle: I love green tea so I thought that this would surely become another favorite but surprisingly, it was pretty underwhelming to me.For their coffee, I've tried their Mocha, White Mocha, Caramel Latte, Green Tea Latte, Salted Caramel Frappe & Green Tea Frappe. They're all pretty good. The Mocha is probably your safest bet, but I also really like the Green Tea Latte. I always get their hot drinks over ice except when the weather is unbearably cold. Their drinks last me a couple of hours. Equatorial Coffee is a great place to go to for people who prefer to stay in smaller, quieter (though there are times it can be quite noisy here depending on the customers lol) places to work or study in. Their meals are also quite cheaper than the meals found in other cafes like CBTL or Starbucks. 😊 My only qualm is they don't have a big selection of pastries, & their rice meals are sakto lang in serving size, but I still recommend this place. 😊

The coffee is strong. Their latte is pretty decent for 130php. That's it. The place is small but not too much crowd when we went there. The pastries don't look yummy tho. Even if you want some dessert, I'm not sure if you will be enticed to even try one. 😂 Wifi is not working when we were there.

After attending a Jolly kiddie birthday party, two of my friends and I want an "adult" experience before going home. We scoured Katipunan for a quiet place to hangout in and stumbled upon Equatorial coffee... It's a small, quiet cafe perpendicular to Katip. It looked promising with its hipster vibe.Since we were still full from the party, we just wanted some coffee. I tried the iced mocha, which was nothing special for me. My friend tried the iced chocolate (pictured because it looked better than my mocha) and said Chuckie tasted better. Yikes! She didn't finish the iced chocolate, but she buy another drink in the form of the Angry Black. It's their specialty drink, which mixes an espresso shot with a carbonated beverage. I found it weird and very bitter-- the fizz of the soda accentuated the bitterness of the coffee. But my friend liked it, so depends on your coffee preference. Lastly, the third one had the capuccino, which was good. I find the drinks ordinary but I still like the vibe of the place.

Bought the grilled cheese sandwich and iced Americano to go. Looove the coffee and the ambiance. The sandwich... I've had better. Will definitely come back and try the other offerings they have. 🙂

Cozy little coffee shop that serves food and desserts. the angry black - soda water + coffee + lemon - was quite refreshing. The brownie moist and yummy. A return visit for the food is a must.
